• Eyad (1/5): - Nothing I stayed at this hotel near Tahrir Square and unfortunately had a very bad experience. The only good thing about this place is the location. It is very central and close to many attractions. However, the hotel itself was extremely disappointing. The rooms were not clean, there was often no water, and the bathroom sink was not working. We had also booked breakfast, but it was not available because the lady who cooks simply did not come. I originally booked the stay for 5 days, but I had to leave after 3 days because the situation was unacceptable. When I spoke to the staff, they told me that this is the only situation available and if I didn’t like it, I could leave. We agreed that I would receive a refund for the remaining nights (around $50). I also spoke with the owner who confirmed this, but after that he stopped responding and I could not find him at the hotel again. I also met other guests there and many of them were uncomfortable with the place and were planning to leave as well. Honestly, I would recommend paying a little more money and staying somewhere else. There are many much better hotels nearby for a slightly higher price, and the experience will be a million times better. Very disappointing experience overall.

• Carlos Manuel (1/5): Pésimo hotel y fatal atencion - La ubicación El trato del gerente o dueño, pésimo descortes grosero, nos aporreo la ventana x q le pedimos el control del clima, dijo q estaba descompuesto y le pedí cambio de habitacion, es cuando nos aporrea la ventana y nos da el control, haciendo señas q nos congelariamos muy molesto, el último dia no nos dieron el desayuno pero si nos puntualizo q la salida es a las 11, las puertas no sirven ni la del baño ni la de la entrada q tuvimos q trancar con una silla, la puerta de salida del hotel con llave tenías q buscar quien te abra, los enchufes no sirven, el colchón de la cama agarro con cartón q se sale mientras duermes con el movimiento, en la recepción nunca hay nadie, el elevador solo el dueño te da acceso a bajar si está y para subir es x las escaleras y son 5 pisos subiendo x q está el elevador pero no tienes la tarjeta para q se mueva, el cuarto sucio, la mesa dónde te sirven el desayuno sucio y además escuchabas los gritos del dueño o encargado regañandola, tengo más fotos

• Tibor (8/5): Perfect for a short stay. - The breakfast was very delicious. The host was kind and helpful. It is centrally located. A sign saying "My Hotel 4th floor" on the front door of the building would be nice to make it easier to find. The building was in pretty run down condition.

• Amir (10/5): Great and affordable place right in the Tahrir Square with amazing staff - This is a perfect place to stay for a few nights. The location is really central, the Tahrir Square (with the respective metro stations) is almost around the corner, and the central bus station of Cairo is reachable by foot in a couple of minutes. The staff - and especially Muhammad (sorry for a possible misspelling) - is also so friendly, helpful and caring. We bonded with Muhammad so well, and he is one of the greatest and kindest persons I have met during my long trip to Egypt! Whatever you need, he will always do his best to help you! While someone might find the room a bit small, for me, it was perfect and satisfied all my needs. What is even more important, the view from it well exceeded my expectations, and even though the Tahrir Square is nearby, I did not have any problems with noise in my room. The hotel also has common spaces where you can meet and interact with fellow travellers. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for affordable accommodation in Cairo!

Good location Value for money Comfortable beds The outer appearance of the building was a concern when we first arrived as we thought we had the wrong place but it seems most places in Cairo are this way. I think if you expecting polished look in Cairo you need to book at one of the expensive hotels. The pics are slightly misleading as the furniture is a bit worn etc but still worth what you pay. The bathrooms could use a bit of an update but it’s clean.

Refrigerator in the hallway. The hotel employee Muhammed was very helpful. The tour he suggested to Giza was inexpensive and well organized. Although we didn't get a late check-out, we were able to spend time comfortably in the lobby until our night flight. No TV. Dusty staircase, exterior under construction. No teapot in the room, but coffee was available in the reception.

• Salomé (10/5): Lovely stay! - The location is really good, just 10 minutes from the market khan al khalili by taxi and right next to the egyptian museum! The building entrance looks old, but the hostel itself is in great condition. We enjoyed a lovely afternoon resting there before our flight back home. The staff is incredibly helpful and nice! They prepared a breakfast for us even though it is usually not possible to get breakfast at arrival in the morning (we did not stay the night, just in the morning and until late afternoon)

The 4th floor has an amazing view. Very clean bed sheets, etc. Had to wait two days on a single bed for the room I ordered and paid for. The check-out time was misleading, so I had to check out earlier than I intended. Very friendly staff but they didn't help me when I needed them the most. The place was very clean, but I had a rat come in from the outside "because opened the balcony door". Request to stay on the 4th floor, it's much better.

• Victoria (8/5): Great visit - Room was cute and clean. The air conditioning worked really well. The breakfast was yummy. Worth it for the cost and location. The entrance of the building is off putting as it is very old and crumbly, but the hotel cannot do much about that. The bathroom was clean, but tired with an old shower whose door was almost falling off. It partially did the job, but soaked the bathroom floor each shower.

• Robert (1/5): I would never recomend anyone to ever stay at this hotel! - The towels provided are like large old rags. There was hardly ever any loo roll in the bathrooms. There were occasions when the water wouldn't even work in the bathrooms for when taking a shower. Multiple attempts were made to charge me extra for my stay, even though a price had been fixed in advance in writing. Also upon arrival it is standard procedure in a hotel for the staff to inform the guest of, where the bathroom is (if shared), what time breakfast is and confirm checkout time (as this sometimes differs from what is displayed online); none of this information was automatically provided to me, I had to ask. Upon paying the cost for my room, the staff did not have the right change to return to myself (bad enough already). They assured they would have it from the bank with 2 hours, come 2 hours later and still nothing; it went well beyond that before I received my money back.

Room with bathroom inside had non working aircon. No in room fridge as wed been lead to expect. Bathroom was tiny and inconvenient to shower in.

The reason is that the reception there is good, the price is very reasonable, the location of the hotel is very good, and transportation is at the click of a button via the Uber application. The only thing that I found has changed, but not for the better. It is a simple thing and cannot be considered bad. It is that the hotel did not have a menu for a fast food restaurant with delivery. Sometimes you enter the hotel tired and do not want to leave just rest and go out later . I was hoping they would provide this simple service, which is just taking a few flyers from restaurants, and the restaurant can offer discounts.

• Shabir (6/5): not the best but definitely worth the money. - Location was really good to the main attractions. the hotel manager organised personal chauffeurs for us the hotel manager was very responsive the staff on site helped take luggage and heavy items up to our room for the cost of the hotel, it was great! it wasn't the cleanest room, however you need to consider this is Egypt and for this price, you shouldn't put standards too high. breakfast was not great, it was not what we expected, but again for the price this is fine- i recommend having breakfast from local shops instead. Very noisy as it was on a main road
