Guest Reviews
- Mohamed (10/5): Very good - Location
- Muhammad Usman (4/5): Less than average - Location is ok but non stop noise of trains bcoz right on the station. Dirty, smell of smoking, size of bedroom
- nagy (4/5): The place is not suitable for staying at all, especially if you’re looking for rest or need to work. - Staff The place is not suitable for staying at all, especially if you’re looking for rest or need to work. The hotel is extremely close to the train station, and the noise from the trains is very disturbing and runs 24/7 without interruption. The constant noise makes it very difficult to sleep, and it’s almost impossible to focus or get any work done in such an environment. Honestly, the location alone makes the whole experience very poor.

- Ole Kristian (10/5): - Sohag was one of the highlights of my trip around Egypt, and I’m really glad I chose to stay here. The room was clean and comfortable, and I even made some great friends during my stay at the hotel. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and made me feel very welcome throughout. A positive experience overall.

- Rosalind (8/5): Enjoyable stay with friendly staff, just noisy - Staff very friendly and helpful , plentiful evening meal and breakfast. Can be difficult to find and being so close to the train station can be noisy, just bring ear plugs
- MURIEL (9/5): - Un accueil chaleureux.

- Riad (7/5): - Everything ok. Breakfast was from 7:00 am. For us they served it at 6:30. Finding the location. It was a quite noisy spot near the railway station. We were disturbed later in the evening in a persistent way by someone of the crew. He silently used google translate to ask how he could come to the Netherlands for work. More people did during our trip. Do they not have chatgpt?
- Viacheslav (7/5): -
- Maksim (9/5): - Nice, clean, comfortable, friendly staff! Good value. The location is close to the railway.
- Thomas (7/5): A nice conveniently located hotel with a helpful staff - The entire Staff is extremely Helpful Noisy trains
- Vijay Shankar (6/5): It was okay to feel the real Egypt - Price and adventurous lift Location and noise
- Dariusz (10/5): - Hotel położony tuż przy stacji kolejowej i autobusowej. Dobra baza do podróży po okolicy. W sąsiedztwie liczne sklepy i restauracje. Nic
- MARIO (9/5): The hotel satisfied all needs for a two-day visit. - position of hotel
The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. /

- Silvia (7/5): - Camera ampia, con tutti i servizi essenziali. Personale gentile e preparato.
- Benjamin (8/5): - breakfast was okay noise because of train station

- David (1/5): Do not choose Suhaj as a place to stay Minya is way cooler - The only good thing about Suhaj was the neighbourhood was pretty cosy and typical egyptian! If you want to experience egyptian culture that's the way to go about, Explore the neighbourhood. It started with the staff. Upon arrival (the one who carried the luggage was friendly) I was asked for my passport in not such a friendly way. But when the guide started to speak Arabic the mood changed. (I don't whether this was because the lack of knowledge of English other languages or...)
We decided to have dinner a the hotel. This took a long time and promised it was fresh. Yet we saw the food arrive from outside... The rooms were basic but not worthy of a 3 star hotel. At least there was tea at the room.
Breakfast... Luckily I am into egyptian food but I can imagine not everyone is into fool (mashed fava beans) and salad etc... No alternative! No coffee. I have no problem with drinking egyptian tea so fine. But when I asked for a second cup, the guy at the restaurant wouldn't have given it to me. Luckily my guide offered up his cup to me.... All not worthy of a 3 star hotel.
If you have the chance look for other places if you really have to stay in Suhaj. My walk in the evening with my guide delivered some better looking hotels and we learned that we were in a poor neighbourhood (well the train station is always/mostly an indication of that) but on booking.com there were only 2 options. So... I really don't reccomend it at all.
- Ilja (7/5): - Nice room with a good bed. Breakfast was okay. In the city center, just 50m from the railway station. Wifi did not work in the room. No coffee at breakfast. Not much water coming out of the shower. The adjacent train station keeps you up all night long. Every train makes a hell of noise, And there are trains all night long.

- Massimo (2/5): La cruda realtà locale - SCONSIGLIATO PER COPPIE OCCIDENTALI!
- Mohamed (10/5): -
- Alvaro (7/5): Good value! - Location N/A
- Ahmed (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jeffrey (8/5): Very good - Excellent location right next to the train station. The staff were very helpful and food in the restaurant was good value. A little noisy from trains going all night
- Hr. (7/5): Good - Next to the train station, directly in the center. 15 minutes by taxi to the temple of Abydos. Cheap price for an easy room. Pretty noisy due to the crazy traffic in Egypt. Poor wifi signal
- Yana (10/5): Perfect - Perfect location, very close to the train station and around 5 minutes walking from the Nile.
The staff are super nice and helpful.
They did everything to make me feel happy.
You have anything you need in the room.
All my questions got answers with smiles and good willingness to help. I really recommend the hotel, and also Sohag it's a nice city that is worth seeing.
- Anton (9/5): Good place for short staying! - Location is quite convenient, close to the Nile and in walking distance to the museum. The room was fine as well as bathroom. Typical Egyptian breakfast is served from 7 am which is good for early birds. The train station is next to the building and could be noisy during the day, however in the night it is not so bad. No dedicated parking space.
- Ahmed (6/5): Pleasant - Close proximity to the train station, very good price. Food was not enough, you have to pay for hot drinks, room too small
- Raul (1/5): Bad - Avoid this hotel. This Hotel should be removed from Booking.com I was diying in this "Hotel" without any concrete abd effective assistance for two days.
After vomiting blood all night the second day, they finaly call an ambulance due to the request of my young son that found me inconscious on the floor.
- Dany (9/5): Superb - The value of the price is good. The location is very nice for travel guests by train.
For breakfast, it's served egg, bread, white cheese, foul, mached potato, jam, and black tea.
The employees are very friendly and helpful. To sleep at the side of the railway station it is very difficult because it's very loud.
- Jeanne (8/5): Very good - Good dinners. An excellent hotel manager Having to pay extra for coffee at breakfast
- Fahd (7/5): Good for short term stay - The stuff and location. You hear a lot of noise because of very near to train station.
- Zeyad (8/5): Very good - It is very close to the center of sohag. The restaurant in the hotel is great and serves very delicious food. Nothing
- Anatoliy (7/5): Good - Friendly and very helpful staff. Bring earbuds as hotel next to train tracks. Good for a night or two. Breakfast as bonus. Locals will help you with hotel location. Most probably you will be the only tourist in town, so enjoy tourist free Sohag. If you decide to visit coptic Red and White monasteries - around town, you will need a driver. Don't use taxi driver Karim associated with hotel - unless you are keen being driven on ancient soviet Lada and very likely scammed.
- Federico (9/5): Superb - Dinner and breakfast were delicious. The room (904) had a wonderful Nile view and was clean enough to stay one or two nights without asking for too much. Trains noise can wake you during the night.
- Jonathan (9/5): Superb - Good staff and big breakfast
- José (3/5): Ok for one night - The location near the train station was ok, though I did not take the train. They seemed to have a good connection with the police, they knew the place, so when I said I was staying there I think it made it easier.
The view over the Nile was nice The room was pretty cramped.
It was very noisy but I'm afraid given the location was expected.
There were some unsavory guys floating around, something in contrast with how nice people in the region are. I was explicitly asked to be reviewed by them so I understand they must have been making an effort, thank God for that.
Finally, my advice is not to go to Sohag or the region, I say this with a heavy heart, because people are so nice.
- Hamade (8/5): Very good -
- Maureen (5/5): Ok for 1 night when passing through - Price, it was cheap Too noisy next to the train station and a lot of city noise. Restaurant was very slow - over 90 minutes for hamburgers.
- Kirill (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sam (10/5): Good budget hotel, ideal for foreigners. - Good, affordable hotel with clean rooms and hot water. The manager is very helpful, he speaks English and can arrange taxis to the airport or tourist sites around Sohag for you. Could be a little hard to find as it’s on a smaller street and the google maps location isn’t precise.
- Lewis (8/5): Very good - The apartment was lovely and clean, the staff were kind and helpful and the free breakfast was great. The hotel is right next to Sohag train station and so it can be quite hard to get to sleep.
- Miky (10/5): Exceptional - A room Is very nice Nothing
- Abdelrahman (6/5): Pleasant -
- Motiur (8/5): A great location . - Front Desk is very cooperative and tried to help us being a foreign guest. Other staffs asking for tips on every job although . it is their responsibility.
no tv in the room
no wifi
- Mahmoud (8/5): Very good -
- Christian (6/5): Not very professional - At least the price is okay The floor in the room was not cleaned and it's quite loud, because it's direct at the train station. But the worst was that the Taxi driver from the hotel scammed me together with one employee. And they called me late in the evening on the phone off my room and when I didn't answer they even came once to my door.
- Ilaria (6/5): Pleasant - The staff at the reception were nice and did their best to accommodate our requests 1) the room was extremely dirty. We asked for cleaning it. It got somehow cleaned, but the floor was still quite dirty
2) I found leftovers in the fridge and slippers in the room when I checked in.
3) I booked the room for three people (my husband, me and my kid) and got only two super small towels.
4) the windows are badly insulated and two of them do not even close properly. As a result, since the area is busy it was extremely loud.
- Dean (7/5): Good -
- Devi (8/5): Very good - The staffs are so friendly! We were lost couldn't find the location but then hotel sent someone to us. For stopover its a good one.
- Ahmad (8/5): Very good -
- Safy (7/5): Good -
- Veronika (8/5): 1 night before a flight from Sohag airport - The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the hotel is right next to the cornish so you can go for a walk along the Nile there.
The staff were really kind, helpful in every way. They got us a taxi to the airport early in the morning for a good price. It's right next to the train station, trains are coming and leaving all night, they're honking a lot so it can be loud.
- Safy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ayman (8/5): Very good -
- E (8/5): Very good -
- Payne (8/5): Great place for passing through sohag but don’t forget the train ride to Cairo will try bribe you for $50 dollars or $15 - Sky view 8th floor I like it
- Ayman (6/5): Pleasant -
- Wladimir (7/5): Good - Hôtel well located in the city center and close to the train station. The hôtel is in a popular neighborhood with restaurants and café.
Staff is very nice and helpful.
Good breakfast. Worth value.
- Jan (8/5): Pleasant stay for anyone who does stopover in Sohag. - The management was super kind and helpful. They helped us to arrange a taxi at reasonable cost for exploration of the monasteries near Sohag and the Abydos temple. This saved us time and hassle so we could set off immediately next morning. The hotel is all right, the rooms are clean, and the stuff is very friendly. nothing
- Eyasin (1/5): very bad - no thing they dont have lock on wash room .breakfast is too much duirty . sound coming too in room from out side..internet have 2g speed .automatic disconnect every time. not good at all
- Ali (2/5): Very poor -
