• selma (5/5): Passable - Espace dans la chambre, assez propre. Hotel basique pour cette rue. Les réceptionnistes très sympa. Salle de bain/WC trop à l'étroit mais passable, trop de bruit dans la rue, music venant de tout les cafés longent la rue. Je pense que c'est un hotel pour les plus jeunes.

I booked four days just a few days before I went to Istanbul for a concert and it was a really good price. If I visit Istanbul again I would come to this hotel once again. The bathroom needs some better maintenance.

• Zied (1/5): - Au vu des nombreux commentaires positifs, je peux aujourd’hui affirmer qu’ils ne reflètent absolument pas la réalité. Mon expérience a été un véritable choc. L’état des lieux est catastrophique, au point que je me demande comment de tels avis peuvent exister. La propreté est inexistante. La salle de bain est dans un état immonde : odeur d’égouts extrêmement forte, impossible même de se brosser les dents. Le pommeau de douche et le sachet d’eau sont moisis, il y a des cheveux partout (longs, courts, de toutes sortes), et des traces très douteuses. C’est littéralement une salle de bain d’égout. La chambre n’est pas mieux : – couvertures très très sales, – forte odeur de cigarette/cigare, – poussière accumulée sous le lit, – rideaux ou tissus imprégnés d’odeur de tabac et sales. Le balcon, soi-disant présent, contient une chaise cassée et un cendrier rempli de mégots. Les mécanismes des stores sont sales et moisis. Côté sécurité, c’est très inquiétant : les escaliers sont dangereux, aucune norme de sécurité visible, et le propriétaire est totalement indisponible. Je n’ai absolument rien trouvé de positif dans cet endroit. Je n’ai jamais vécu une expérience aussi grave. Si un contrôle sanitaire passait ici, ce serait très probablement une fermeture immédiate. Je publie cet avis pour prévenir et protéger les futurs clients. Je suis ici pour seulement 3 nuits et j’espère simplement que tout se passera sans problème. Mais sincèrement, si vous tenez à votre santé et à votre sécurité, n’y venez pas. Cet avis est écrit avec le plus grand sérieux. Ce n’est pas exagéré. C’est la réalité.

• Mehmet (1/5): I was forced to leave in the middle of the night due to hygiene issues, poor maintenance, and violations of privacy. - I did not like anything. My experience at this property was far below expectations. The room was generally extremely dirty. The walls, floors, bed, and wardrobes were well below acceptable hygiene standards. There was a strong smell of dampness and mold in the room. The air conditioner appeared not to have been cleaned for a long time and was heavily covered in dust. Most of the curtains were broken, and the shower area was poorly maintained. The radiator was not working, and an attempt was made to fix this during my stay. Maintenance workers were brought into the room while I was present, without any consideration for privacy. During the repair, water from the radiator spilled onto the bed. The solution offered was unacceptable: I was told to manage by placing a pillowcase taken from another bed over the wet mattress. This approach is unacceptable in terms of hygiene and guest satisfaction. The hotel owner clearly stated that there was a lack of staff and that this situation could not be changed, indicating that the problems are known and not temporary. There is no elevator in the building. The right-side window of the room directly faces a garbage area and a derelict site. At the front, there is a construction area completely covered with metal sheets, making the surroundings very disturbing. When I returned the key upon leaving, the owner mentioned that the property had previously received complaints from other guests and that the rating had therefore dropped. During this conversation, he asked me to leave a positive review for the hotel. He suggested discussing this in a private area, but I stated that we could talk where we were (on the street at the hotel entrance) and then left. Due to these circumstances, I was forced to leave the property late at night. I am writing this review to prevent others from experiencing similar issues.

The room reeked of stale cigarette smoke, so I had to sleep with the windows and balcony door wide open for 2 nights. The smell got into my clothes, the sheets, the pillow — into everything. The toilet seat was loose, the bathroom was full of mold, and the showerhead couldn’t even be hung up. I literally had to endure it just to get through the stay. I asked for another room but was told it wasn’t possible. My budget was limited, otherwise I would have walked out and booked another hotel on the first day. Absolutely filthy!

The room was good for a short stay , but not recommended for a long one To start with we did not get the room paid for. We booked a studio but we were given a very small double room. The bathroom was falling apart - it was impossible to take a shower.

A pleasant space, but requires a thorough cleaning (dirty ashtray full of cigarette butts on terrace). Constant water supply interruptions during my stay.

It was not good enough to decide to continue our stay here. - It was not too far from shopping area but it was difficult for taxis to come in and out, which a few cancelled due to the narrow street and blocked roads. It had its own bathroom The check in was very delayed for a few hours and we were given access around 6pm. It seemed a bit disorganized. The cleaner came in late to prepare the room also. It was a long day and we needed rest so it was a high inconvenience. It's almost like they were not expecting us and it didn't feel so welcoming. The owner or manager complained about the price booked despite us having a conversation before when I visited prior to. He wanted to downgrade to a standard room on a higher floor at a higher price and called it a deluxe and it wasn't. He also knew we required the room downstairs based on a prior conversation before booking. It seemed like dishonesty and bad business dealing. The day before I checked the hotel for booking, there was a fight down the street near to the hotel. There's an old and dilapitaded building right next to and opposite the building, so it's difficult to tell what or who may be loitering in the area. The cleaner came into the room unauthorized although all staff were informed that no one should come in unless we were present. It was very uncomfortable to hear this after the fact. The internet was extremely poor especially the last 3 days when it was completely off causing inconvenience to work, call a taxi etc. Other buildings in the area had internet during this time. They didn't offer an apology and said it will come back on the day of departure. The internet was a huge inconvenience which caused us to walk out to the street to manage our day-to-day affairs and also caused missed opportunities and delays in arrangements. Although the website claims wheelchair friendly, it is not. There are stairs at the entrance which require a few man power to support. It was very uncomfortable as the owner or manager smokes inside and the basement and office desk is directly opposite the lower floor room. • Charles (4/5): Taksim Sem House review - The price for 4 nights was very good. The fridge was working. Getting around was super easy, close to everything. Just a short walk to the metro and buses to and from the airport, which is much cheaper than a taxi. . The room was very dated and had a certain smell that was not pleasant but i got used to it, the hand basin was tiny, I couldn't really use it. There was a shelf above it. There was a lot of noise late at night outside. The price for room reflects to comfort and quality of the room.

The promenade is literally at your doorstep, the metro station is just a 3-minute walk away, and the iconic Galata Tower is only a 7-minute leisurely stroll. The hotel staff is incredibly kind and accommodating, always ready to assist and make your stay even more enjoyable. Very clean apartment 👌🏻 We have to wait an hour to get the room and got it at 3 pm only. It was so annoying with kids and after the night flight. Just because stuff could not finish cleaning at time. If you going to get the largest room on the roof be prepared to save your kids from ladder. Stairs starts downward exactly at the middle of the room.

The only hotel where there was tea, coffee, sugar in the room. Thanks to the staff for their care. The staff is very friendly. The main thing for me is that the air conditioner does not blow on the bed. And you can sleep normally. It is quiet here at night! This is a rarity for hotels here.

When she confirmed she told us check in at 2 pm so go around and come back. She showed hard face. At 2.30 pm we came back then it took us another 30 minutes to check in. Reason room was not yet cleaned. So we checked out at 7.30 pm same day. The disrespected treatment at time of check in.

Also the fridge and kettle helped a lot to prepare fresh breakfast. Not very clean room, the bathroom needs renovation, also it was made of glass, not the best for a family with kids. The lighting was poorly functioning. Very narrow stairs. Not the place you want to return.

The hotel is old, its furniture is old, and the doors and windows do not insulate sound... and the worst thing is that I booked a room with a size of 20 square metres... so they gave me a room with a size of only 6 metres... and when I objected to them, they said this is what is available only..!! It was the worst stay I have ever had in Istanbul... I posted a picture of the room that should have been 20 meters..!!!
