The staff waited for us late at night to check us in and was always very friendly and helpful, asking several times if we were fine or needed anything. The room was big and comfortable, and we also had free parking. Overall, the whole experience was very good.

• Jessie H (10/5): - We enjoyed our time at joyeuse étape! We stayed there after leaving Basel and going to Bern next. The place has surprisingly EVERYTHING - separated bedroom and living room, a small but functional kitchen (oven, microwave, stove, pans and pots, cutleries), even a "minibar" :) We constantly found things we didnt think we needed so it was a pleasant surprise. The bathroom is great as well, the shower is strong, peach-flavoured shower gels are prepared. It was a wonderful feeling returning to the joyeuse étape after a day of hike or day trip ;) The host is super nice and friendly - speaks fluent German and French too. There are supermarkets nearby so it's convenient to buy and cook (small meals). Plenty of nature nearby as well, it's also close to Biel/Bienne where the free Omega Museum is located at. The yummy Swiss cheese Tête de Moine is also from around the region, the Maison Tête de Moine is also very nearby. All in all - we had a cosy and wonderful stay! If we can have one small wish: a slightly newer and firmer mattress would make this experience even better! Non :)

• Bruno (10/5): Joyeuse étape en famille - L'établissement est dans un endroit très calme, facile d'accès et très bien équipé. Idéale comme étape intermédiaire! L'espace est petit, mais très bien organisé. Surtout en étant en famille, il a été possible de coucher le plus petit et profiter encore du soir pour lire sans le déranger. La propriétaire est formidable. Avec un grand sourire et très disponible pour nous dépanner pendant le séjour. Je recommande 100%! Rien!

• Camila Edith (8/5): Buena estadía - Quien nos recibió en el alojamiento muy amable, el mismo estaba muy limpio y estaba bien equipado. Está un poco escondido, y hay carteles en la calle que confunden si puedes entrar o no a la calle donde tienes que aparcar, me hubiera gustado que tenga cortinas que bloqueen más la luz a la mañana y tal vez un lugar donde cargar el agua para la cocina que no sea en el baño.

Sehr aufmerksam war das Angebot für Regenschirme (es gab an diesem Tag Dauerregen). So konnten wir trockenen Hauptes zu Fuß zu einem nahegelegenen Restaurant gelangen.

Ce n’est pas que nous n’avons pas aimé mais nos conditions étaient différentes des résidents habituels: nous restions cinq nuits. Ce qui fait que le frigo était un peu petit pour nous.

Nice, clean little apartment in a typical Swiss house in a large peaceful village surrounded by attractive countryside. Good train service from Sonceboz-Sombeval railway station which is a mile away. Co-op supermarket in the village. The house is situated at the top of the village on a hillside, so the walk to the station is easy, but the walk back is steep!

• Andrea (10/5): Comfortable stay in a convenient location and lovely people - The owners were really lovely people and made us feel very much at home. They were very interested to talk to us bout our travels. During our stay, the lady welcomed us to message her with any requests that we might have. Nothing was too much trouble. The apartment was well equipped and had TV with satellite, WiFi, cooking facilities, clean bathroom and comfy beds. The widows also had shutters to shut out the light which made for a very nice sleep. We were waved off when we left which was truly lovely, we felt like family friends. Thanks to the owners for a lovely stay with them. I can’t think of anything.

All you need for a nice and uncomplicated stay in Jura. Ideal for 2 ppl. Nice and welcoming host. Coffee, water, tea, salt, olive oil and pepper available for free, other drinks also available (payed). Would highly recommended :)
