Guest Reviews
- ortega Salazar (10/5): Una muy agradable estadia - Los espacios del lugar estaba impecable todo Todo nos gusto
- Luisa Fernanda (10/5): -
- Romina (8/5): Great location, tidy and comfortable room with everything you need. - Very cosy and comfortable room with coffee
making facilities AND coffee which was such a nice touch! We had a really stressful experience checking in. We hadn’t received any instructions for checking before boarding a plane from Santiago. This made it incredibly stressful because we were arriving late to the first time in the country! Communication could have been improved on this item. It was also very noisy with people coming and going. This isn’t the owner’s fault but it would be worth warning people to be quiet because there’s no acoustic separation.
- Elouan (10/5): - Tout était parfait !
Le lieu est très bien placé.
Par dessus tout, ils ont été très arrangeants pour notre départ en milieu d'après-midi.
Encore merci
- Catherine (10/5): - Being located in Candelaria was very practical. The studio was charming. We were welcomed warmly by the owner and the staff. Having a kitchenette was very appreciated as we like to have breakfast on the spot and cook light meals occasionally. The hot shower was a treat !
- Albina (2/5): - Very nice location, good value for the price. Extremely cold ! The apartment has no heater! It's impossible to get cozy in this apartment unless you wear lots of layers .
- Jerome (8/5): Nice place, lumpy mattress - Good location, attractive room Lumpy mattress
- Anonymous (9/5): Loved this little Bogotá spot—stylish, comfortable, and full of heart. ❤️ - I absolutely loved this adorable little studio. It’s a charming and thoughtfully designed space—not just the room itself, but the entire building. Everything was beautifully decorated and well-equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay.
The shower had perfect water pressure, and the towels struck the ideal balance between fluffy and absorbent. The bed was cozy and supportive, so I slept deeply and woke up refreshed, ready to explore.
The service was warm and attentive, and communication was always quick and helpful. I especially appreciated the local recommendations, which really helped me plan a rich, full Bogotá experience.
The studio is located in La Candelaria, a vibrant neighborhood filled with delicious food, great shopping, museums, and plenty of attractions, all within walking distance. That said, it is an uphill walk to get back to the studio—so after a long day of walking tours, I opted to take an Uber! Then I would take a little rest and head back out for a night on the town.
Everyone I encountered was so kind and welcoming. I highly recommend this spot for anyone visiting Bogotá! And if you have the time and the desire for a spa day, schedule the Phuket package at the Baw Thai Boutique Spa. Ploy at the El Nogal location was a wonderful practioner! I truly loved my stay. What I’m about to mention isn’t a complaint—just a small reflection on something that could have made the experience even better.
Coming from a warm tropical climate, the cooler temperatures were a bit of a shock to my system. The only thing that would have made my stay more comfortable would’ve been the option to use a space heater or some form of room heating.
That said, the host thoughtfully provided an extra blanket, and I was warm and cozy while sleeping. It was mostly in the mornings or when I wasn’t in bed that I felt chilly. Thankfully, I spent most of my time out exploring, so it didn’t impact my overall experience too much.
- Joshua (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (10/5): Ideal - The remodeling or design is very well done. The room is tasteful. The shower is great with hot water, wifi works well, each room has a mini-kitchen. The room is excellent for 1 person, probably too small for two for an extended stay. For me it's perfect. The design is ideal for an extended stay for a solo traveler. The pillows are not the best. There is a hill or incline to the location, not too difficult though.
- Jared (9/5): Superb - Fantastic value for what you pay. Check in was a little bumpy needing the code to get in but perhaps we could have made sure we had it beforehand.
- Laurel (10/5): I really enjoyed staying here and the staff were super helpful, holding my luggage for the day before I flew in the even - It was very clean and in a great location with great facilities There wasn’t anything I can think of
- Zakari (9/5): Superb -
- Josh (9/5): Spacious apartment with a great kitchenette and on site laundry - Great sized apartment with laundry facilities on site. Was handy having a kitchenette and fridge too. Hot shower was amazing No complaints about the premises. It is located on the top of a hill so the walk up was good for the lungs
- Zoran (1/5): Extremely uncomfortable apartment, not worth $5 per night - Nothing No pressure water.
No water on kitchen faucet
Room very small
Windows can’t be opened
Bathroom too small
Shower head too love
No day light
- Lina (9/5): It was a lovely and comfortable stay in a touristy historical area of La Candelaria. - The property itself was beautiful! Decorations were artsy and cute. We had access to a small kitchen in our room which was very convenient and we had access to a shared washer and drier which was also incredible helpful during our stay. The only negative which falls outside the control of the property hosts is that the property is located in an area which becomes a bit unsafe during the nighttime. It’s also on the higher part of a small hill in la candelaria so mobility may be limited for someone unable to walk up it, but that can be easily bypassed by catching a ride with uber or a taxi taking you to the property.
- Daniel (5/5): Passable -
- Benjamin (2/5): Scam - Pretty outlook... When all lights turned on. The window receives no light. Check my photos! Shower didn't work. The window leads to a tiny patio with no privacy and no light.
It's DARK. TOTALLY DARK! The photo is deceptive. The landlady refused to admit it, whichever is gross! In the end, she offered to change my room but it was with such hypocritical atmosphere that I didn't respond. I checked out after a COLD shower and no pressure.
- Mahdi (9/5): Very good - Comfortable with amenities to work, clean and feels like home Uphill, bit sketchy at night
- Santiago (9/5): Superb - Everything!! Sometimes the neighbours make some noise at night, but it's neglegable compared to the rest of the experience, especially if you bring ear plugs.
- Andrew (9/5): Modern facilities in old surroundings. - Very quiet location but walking distance to the main tourist sites. Very new with excellent facilities. The room I stayed in backed onto the foyer where the washing machine/dryer was located - pity that it can be used at 22.00 as it's noisy.
- Ibonne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Santiago (8/5): Beautiful place - The interior! The neighbours seemed to work at night sometimes, in a repairshop?
- Kathryn (8/5): Nice location just around the corner from cafes and restaurants - Clean, close to all the cafes and restaurants of La Candalaria. Useful kitchen for making drinks etc. Having use of a free washing machine and dryer was a real bonus. The noise outside was annoying. You need earplugs to block it out. The water pressure on our first night wasnt good, but strangely for our second night it was fine.
- Jenny (8/5): Good base to explore Bogota - This was our second stay, just as good. Cleans, colourful little apartment. Enjoyed the coffee. There was a bit of street noise in the morning.
- Jenny (8/5): Great base for a few days in Bogota - Very good communication about keypad entry. Colourful apartment, quiet, handy to restaurants. Washing machine and drier was appreciated. Walking distance to the centre. We have booked again, so nothing.
- Christopher (9/5): Great value and would recommend overall - Great location, charming rooms, kind staff. These are not deal breakers, but good to be aware of: 1) Best bet to ensure hot water shower is to avoid a morning shower, and 2) if you have a room on street side there can be noise from mothers taking their kids to nearby elementary school nice and early.
- Lynsey (10/5): 10++ 10/10 is not enough! - Good location, great communication, beautiful apartment, coffee, washer & dryer
- Sarah (10/5): Fabulous! - Absolutely loved the way the owners have styled the bedrooms and communal areas. Very comfortable and we felt so much had been done to make guests feel at home. The coffee, mineral water and basket of sweets all added to being made to feel welcome.
- Timon (7/5): Good - The communication with the staff was very good from arriving in the city to the end. The walls are quite thin, so you can hear your neighbours.
No daylight due to missing windows.
- Midlaj (10/5): Exceptional - It’s a good place
- Taina (10/5): Exceptional -
