Guest Reviews
- Manuel (10/5): -
- alejandra (10/5): - La casa increíble, las vistas preciosas, todo muy bien Sólo por poner algo que no funcionaba la cisterna del baño de abajo
- Andrei (3/5): Nice place, Terrible management - Located in a quiet village. Nice view from the main room. I was there in December, at that time the territory looked nice because of some blooming bushes. A working fireplace was also a nice touch. With a different management and considering affordable price, I would give it 8.0. Looked for 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms villa in that area.
Booked this one for 2 nights for me and my family.
1. The manager did not see or ignored my questions that I sent before reservation.
2. The manager did not know about my reservation until I called him on the day of arrival.
3. 5 hours later he sent me a message stating that I can't use one of the toilets as it was not operational. I was 1.5 (out of 4) hours drive left to the villa.
4. Promised me to "do his best" to fix the toilet by the time we arrived, so I continued to drive to the place. As I arrived, I received instructions where to get the key, the toilet was dismantled, no one on-site was performing repairs.
5. The place has a non-refund policy. So I left and asked him to cancel my reservation. He didn't.
6. During the following days, the manager offered me a 20% refund, told me that I should be grateful, blamed me for not being willing to "adapt", and finally told me that they "do not need my charity". By "charity" I guess he meant my payment, although he still kept it (100%), so this doesn't add up.
7. Also during the following days he mentioned, that he could not fix the toilet because it was Saturday, and the local shop with spare parts was closed. As I learned later, there was a Leroy Merlin in Granada (30 minutes drive), which was open on Saturday and had all the necessary parts. I guess he did not care enough to drive there or arrange a delivery. I also prefer to spend my weekend with my family, and not waste it on fixing the toilets. But then again I am not managing the properties.
So my take-away after wasting a few hours of my time and 500 euros is this: chances of bumping into something as unprofessional and arrogant are much less when I book places with at least a dozen positive reviews. This place had none on Booking and 10 positive external reviews. I guess external are easily manipulated.
