Guest Reviews
- Garbutt (10/5): - We loved looking out at the beautiful garden.
The fresh eggs from the chickens were amazing. We enjoyed picking fresh tomatoes for our breakfast.
We used the bbq to cook dinners.
Pete and Sandy are friendly hosts, very welcoming and great for local information.
We'll definitely be visiting again very soon.
- Denelle (9/5): Great gardens, friendly hosts and comfy studio. - A quiet location and the gardens are magnificent. Comfy bed and well appointed facilities. Great kitchen set up too. Not something that I didn’t like but as much as I enjoy the candle warmers beside the bed, side lamps would be handy as it is either all bright down lights on or the candle warmer lamps. Just a little thing.
- Robyn (10/5): Spacious and comfortable self contained studio with full kitchen facilities. - Property was well equipped and spacious for short or longer stays. Very comfortable bed. Fresh seasonal foods from vegetable were lovely and surrounded by beautiful gardens. Friendly hosts.
A little out of town but not far to walk if wanted. Nothing

- Adelle (7/5): - Super cute location. Great gardens. Self contained.
Owner was lovely and super helpful.super friendly dog came for a visit. Additional Toilets/bathroom back on to the studio. On site campers easily heard in and out all evening. So not as secluded as you might think.
- Debra (10/5): The best B & B in Tenterfield ..Don't miss out on the surprises in the garden . - Absolutely loved our stay here !...Sandy provided everything you need and more. We felt her presentation was more French provincial (We have stayed in B & B's in France) small jams, chutney even fruit containers in the fridge, 4 varieties of cereals.. It's not modern style but very spacious with a feeling that you can just relax and not worry about it being 'too perfect". The Garden is amazing. Sandy's husband is a structural landscaper we were allowed to wander the gardens , (feels like a few acres but isn't) so many paths to explore and very clever landscaping..wishing well, water areas, great structures made by her husband .. a B & B with a very pleasant difference.
. Nothing !... though not a fan of electric blankets would be good to have the hard bit near your shoulders to be covered more with a thicker topper but really we were so impressed this was just minor ..
- David (8/5): Very comfortable stay away from the main road in Tenterfield with a lovely host - A simple but lovely continental breakfast of cereals was provided. It was just what we wanted. Nothing significant

- Angie (8/5): Great place great garden but … - Place was spacious clean and tidy comfortable bed
Had a great garden with a lot of work put in Lacing was a hair dryer
Aircon cut out at the set temperature I’m sure but as the temperature dropped it did not come back on for some reason
Last thing there was a fire place but you had to pay a supplement to use it Explained it that they had to clean it after use It would only take 2 or 3 minutes to clean and if you had to pay for wood well there is plenty of wood round
I notice a lot of places trying to charge extra for fireplace use which is ridiculous as it’s near enough to winter and should be included in the price. Needs to change this badly
- Ailsa (8/5): Very good -
- Gillian (9/5): A place to stay to catch your breath, and relax. - Location was good. Easy to travel to places.
The hosts kindly provided breakfast condiments. We even got to have fresh eggs, laid that morning from the friendly chickens!!!
Tosca the English Springer spaniel came to say hello.
The English garden that Peter created and continuing to expand was lovely. The Autumn colouring of the leaves on the trees were beautiful.

Set in a lovely garden and nice quiet area. Close to town but not easy walking access as no sealed path and its along highway.

Had all the facilities we needed to make for a very comfortable stay - washing machine, sunroom, full kitchen - Fresh eggs, bread and condiments. Excellent dining suggestions and tips on sights to experience also made for a personable experience. Will definitely return when we come back to Tenterfield - and we will as we did not manage to do all the walks we wanted in the National Parks. Nothing at all.

- Linley (10/5): It was a home away from home everything you need and close to town. - A really comfortable bed, warm and cosy. Great kitchen facilities and beautiful garden. Owners are easy to communicate with wonderful people.
