• Gabriel (9/5): Warm stay at MotMot vacation, perfect for our stay in Samara! - Good location and perfectly equipped for our stay. We like the easy access to town center, using the "mango lane". Efficient air conditionner in really hot temperature. Motmot birds were observed, as well as vibrant sunset. All went well for us. A little bit more cuttlery would be appreciated.

Je dois tout de même le préciser car la double réservation ne devrait pas exister par respect pour les touristes😊 heureusement, j’ai trouvé une Nuit dans un autre hôtel, mais en période haute, cela aurait pu ne pas être le cas!! Nous sommes déçus car il y a eu une double réservation, ils nous ont annulé le jour même notre réservation pour une nuit. • Michele (8/5): - The managers were very flexible with my arrival and departure times. The view from my unit was great. I liked the location, close to town but away from most noise. Housekeeping was only 2x on a 2 week stay.
• Peter (9/5): - Good views and opportunity to see birds from the balcony! Kitchen is well setup for longer term stays. Short walk to the beach and restaurants in town. Method of obtaining key could be more secure and wish there was a safe for valuables especially when going to the beach.

• Eleanor (10/5): Excellent room. I highly recommend it. - This room was an excellent value. It is located just right to have a view of the ocean. The kitchen was amply stocked which made cooking easy, bed was ok, scored an extra point for providing a washcloth. Management was responsive and pleasant. It was a little hard to find because GPS didn’t show the location as being up a hill. Interbus would not come up the hill to pick me up. Just a heads up if you are not driving.

• Marion (8/5): Great place to stay for a couple of days. - Beautiful view, balcony , basic kitchen with everything you need . Would have been nice to have an extra shelving unit for clothes if stay is longer then 1 or 2 night. Had some issues but the property manager was right away there to respond and fix any issues.
• Chechorv (9/5): Superb - I stayed at Mot Mot Vacation during my vacation, and I had a very positive experience. I loved that they offer a wide variety of payment options, such as cash, SINPE, PayPal, credit card, and bank transfers, which made everything much easier. Additionally, they provide electronic invoices if needed. The rooms are spacious, as well as the balconies, which adds to the comfort. Another thing I appreciated was the bathroom, as it has great water pressure and the option for hot or cold water. If you’re staying for several days, you can coordinate with Lucy for cleaning services, which is very convenient. The only thing to keep in mind is that if it rains heavily, the access can be a bit tricky since the road is not paved or covered with stones. However, this didn’t take away from my experience, and I would definitely stay at Mot Mot Vacation again. Highly recommended!

• Alyssa (7/5): Good - Fabulous location, although a bit slippery to walk down the sidewalks to get to the main roads during the rainy season. We were able to cook spaghetti and other meals with ease inside our room. Lucy, the host, was easy to contact via booking and whatsapp. We didn't go to the pool at all due to mosquito season, but it looked nice and clean! The fan inside the room works well to keep you cool. And sheets/towels were changed upon request. My partner and I worked from home most days we were there and the internet was great. Overall an easy stay. As others had mentioned, the bed/mattress itself is not very comfortable. We did sleep okay, just had to get adjusted to it. AC would have been nice, but understandable that most places don't have it or you have to pay extra for it - we were on a budget. Parking was a bit challenging due to the rainy season. It's on a hill up a muddy, bumpy path. And the mosquitoes - again rainy season issues, so I can't blame the property for these things.
• Jennifer (6/5): Pleasant - The viewing location was lovely. Short distance to the beach Was met at the bus and transported to the property as it was very late. There is an extremely steep walk to and from the location. If you have any mobility issues or health concerns this may be for your consideration. If you are driving in a 4x4 no problems.
• Anahid (8/5): Fantastic place but no AC - A fantastic studio with a great balcony and killer view of the ocean. Less than 5 minute walk to the beach and restaurants. Wonderful host and amenities. Clean, comfortable bed, well-equipped mini kitchen. The only reason we gave 8 stars is the unit does not have air conditioning. It does have a huge ceiling fan over the bed. You can also open the balcony door and front door for a cross breeze but it was still too hot for us at end of April. When they get AC it will be a 10!

• Emma (8/5): A very enjoyable stay in Sámara - First and foremost the location. You can't beat it. There is everything you could possible need or want to do, town, beach, you name it, all within walking distance plus ample parking on the property for you car. Lucy, the property manager was such a treat. She made check-in and check-out so easy and really was available any time of day for any questions we had. The kitchen does have everything you need but it was definitely a little on the bare-side. But i guess in retrospect, the only thing I had to buy was paper-towel. Anything else i needed, was in fact there. The apartment had its quirks and wasn't necessarily a 5-star stay, but honestly, for the value, it can't be beat. I would definitely stay here again, absolutely no hesitation. - There wasn't any AC, which for me, a lizard in a past life - was no problem. But my partner would say an AC unit would really make this place near perfect (but there IS a large and powerful ceiling fan, which surprisingly really kept us cool at night after our core temperature cooled down) - The mattress was also a little hard. After the first night it proved to be a non-issue (and I stayed for 5 nights!) but when you first sit on it.. it FEELs like a backache waiting to happen. - Lack of access to the pool was a tiny bit of a bummer. There IS a pool on the property but there is a sign on the gate that says Mot Mot guests are prohibited from using the pool, so we stayed clear.

• Sam (7/5): Great Stay near the beach - The property was easy to find and the host was great. We had an issue where we got robbed at the beach and as we were dealing with police we needed more time to check out. The host was happy to help us with another key and let us stay till we got the issue sorted out. There are restaurants close to the property and other nice beaches a few miles away. The property doesn't have an option to pay with Credit cards. I noticed there were access to ACs but not installed. And there wasn't a TV. May be I overestimated when I saw the 8.7 rating. The place is decent and has nice breeze. Also quiet in the night.

• Anish (5/5): It was an OK stay. Photos looked way nicer than it actually was. The host / owner, was incredibly nice and attentive - Close by to town, nice view. Basic set up to cook. Pool was nice as well. The photos didn’t really match up. Looked much more polished in the photos, the screen door was damaged letting in mosquitoes and insects. The bed had small ants all over. The unit didn’t feel too clean, nor did it have an AC. TV had no use as it didn’t have anything to watch or no HDMI.

• Kaitlyn (9/5): Convenient apartment with nice views and friendly local owner - This property was a great find. It’s perched on a hill overlooking Samara, but from the balcony you wouldn’t even realize you’re right by the town. All you can see is the treetops and the sea in the distance. While sitting on the balcony on saw a coati walk by, an iguana climbing a tree, and heard howler monkeys (which I later spotted a block away). Yet it’s super convenient and just a couple blocks from the Main Street in the town. It was super handy to have a kitchen to be able to cook meals in the unit and the wifi speed was good enough for streaming Netflix and video calls. The owner, Lucía, was absolutely wonderful. She greeted me right when I arrived and explained everything. She is from Samara and is also one of the founders of the local farmers market which I was able to go to on Saturday (highly recommend). When I was running low on toilet paper I texted Lucía and she was over with more within the hour. And she just got a credit card machine that works great so super easy to pay by card :) While there were many of the basic amenities there are a few more things that would be nice to have like a bedside lamp, more shelves/drawers for storing clothes, and various kitchen supplies. As a solo female traveler I also would have felt better if there was a deadbolt on the door instead of just the doorknob lock. And maybe more regular check ins for cleaning / replacement of towels, garbage, toilet paper, etc.
