• Evett (3/5): Misleading "Luxury" Listing – A Disgraceful Experience - Decent location walking distance to beach Do not be fooled by the photos or the “luxury” description — this was one of the most disappointing and frustrating accommodation experiences we’ve had. From the moment we arrived, it was clear the property had not been properly cleaned or maintained: Cockroaches and ants in the kitchen and bathrooms (even after we cleaned ourselves on day one just to feel comfortable). Spiders and webs across the ceilings. Blood stains on the en-suite bathroom wall. The main bathroom door didn’t close or lock — we had to wedge a heavy object in front of it for basic privacy. No hot water in the kitchen. A broken air conditioning unit flashing “clean filter.” Filthy furniture covered in hair, a balcony full of dead plants, dust, and leaves. Showers with uncontrollable temperature (either freezing or scalding). Wall holes and signs of poor maintenance in every room. No extra towels provided despite the request and the number of guests. When we reached out to the management team, the “solution” was to send maintenance and cleaners into the property mid-stay — as if we should be happy to have people fumigating, fixing plumbing, and deep-cleaning around us on our holiday. No offer of refund, no sincere apology — just an acknowledgment that the property wasn’t up to standard, and a vague promise to “do better for future guests.” This is not how a professional business operates — and certainly not how a premium-priced, supposedly luxury property should be managed. We were left to absorb the cost of a sub-par stay while they took zero meaningful accountability. Save yourself the disappointment, stress, and expense. We would never stay here again — and strongly advise others not to either.
