- Ricky (9/5): great - The location, staff and property owner Nil
- Ewa (8/5): Very good - Very clean apartment
- Carol (9/5): Superb -
- Lisa (7/5): Good - The suite was modern and exceptionally clean. The bed was comfortable and there were nice linens. Due to an emergency I had to unexpectedly book accommodation the day before I needed it. Therefore the reservation was nonrefundable. On check in day the host asked me for my credit card information and my postal code for a $300 damage deposit. He or she would not provide the address of the suite or the lock box number unless I provided this information. I have booked short term rentals all over North America and Europe and I have never been asked to provide my Visa information directly to the host. It has always gone through the platform. I was very uncomfortable giving out this information but I would not have accommodation or a refund if I refused. This is highly irregular and I wouldn't recommend this suite for this reason. Also, the listing said that the suite was close to Vancouver attractions. I'm not sure which ones, but it is at least 50 blocks from downtown, Granville Island, Gastown, etc. You will need a car or will have to be prepared to take public transit in order to visit these places.
- C00002 (9/5): Superb -
- Ruby (8/5): Very good -
- Shauna (5/5): The communication and policies largely ruined my Vancouver stay and will keep me away in future - Fairly close to downtown, where we were visiting. It’s nice to have kitchen and laundry. They expect you to send your credit card number, then a photo of your credit card then ALSO your driver’s licence through docusign. That does NOT follow all the warnings you’re given about sharing all that info online. But, though I had no choice but to send this thru docusign, I was NOT given entry instructions. Which stressed me out the whole day of my visit.
On the way towards the home, we were FINALLY contacted at 11:30 pm because I wasn’t given an address!! There’s only a link to the general area but not the house. I was so stressed the whole day waiting!
I had already paid for the suite, but thought I was going to end up homeless. Finally, at 11:30, I got a call and was told that the credit card I gave them through docusign was the same CC I had used to book the room through booking.com, and they needed a different CC to process their “deposit”!! What?!? First of all, that is ridiculous and unnecessary, but why did you wait ALL DAY after my filling out the docusign info to say this?!? I do have another CC, but does everyone? I had no shortage of credit for their deposit. So what an inconvenience! I had to pull over from driving to the suite to get another CC, but while I was doing so, she put my original CC through and said it was fine. So why do that at 11:30 pm?!? Why not communicate needing two CC’s before a person wants to go to their suite?!? So it was necessary but not necessary and never communicated before attempting to arrive. They just keep the address and entry instructions hostage. The lock box in the dark of night is a second huge challenge.
- Karl (8/5): Excellent one-bedroom apartment basement. - Excellent one-bedroom apartment basement. Returned here on our last week in Vancouver. Lovely, well equipped accommodation. A little noisy from above (foot steps, washing machine early in the morning/late at night) but overall lovely stay. A little noisy from above (foot steps, washing machine early in the morning/late at night)
- Sambhav (8/5): Very good -
- Inderpreet (9/5): Holiday in Vancouver - Nice location lovely and clean.
I left my laptop behind at checkout, and the host kept it safe until I could return and collect it. Fabulous Single bed is probably a little small for a tall adult
- Karl (10/5): Spacious, bright, clean apartment with all facilities. - Lovely location, walking distance to bus stop (22) and local 7-11 shop. Spacious, bright, clean apartment with all facilities. Great shower and comfortable bed.
Perfect for our stay. Nothing really. Had to ask upstairs neighbour to open back gate so we could dispose of the rubbish, as wouldn’t have found the bins in the back alley, but all good.
- Wang (10/5): The property is very clean, and the host is super friendly - The property is very clean, and the host is super friendly. It's located in residential area, and very safe. Bus is half a block away, pretty easy to get to most places. Street parking is very easy if you want to rent a car. Not many restaurants close by.
- Fisher (9/5): Superb - Clean and nice
- Enrico (8/5): Very good -
- Stephen (9/5): Superb - Basement apartment in a residential area. Very clean and well appointed. Good base to explore Vancouver and the surrounding area. Nothing of note.
- Arlyn (9/5): Awesome - Its a nice cute house, clean and having comfortable bed, kitchen, washer&dryer. Its a good stay with family having toddler and baby who can crawl everywhere without worrying. Nothing
- Tabitha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Prospero (8/5): Very good - Reasonable price per night, stores and restaurants close to the area. No parking, a bit far away from downtown, garbage collection a bit weird, bed was not comfortable.
- Orla (8/5): Very good -
- Fairlane (8/5): The place is equipped and clean but the bath tub is slippery and unsafe. A generous pillows would be great too😃 -
- Elozino (7/5): Good - The accessibility of the Location
The functionality of the apartment
Friendly neighbours in the main apartment The kitchen utensils (1 sauce pan and 1 dutch oven) and crokery were not sufficient/ adequate. The mug i requested never arrived.
There were no cleaning materials (broom or mop) initially but the host eventually provided. There is no cable TV ( YouTube and Netflix was available and helpful).
The management of garbage was confusing and instructions not clear - there is no access to the back alley for guests so I had to go around the block with a trash bag.
- Anonymous (10/5): Wonderful Vancouver accommodation - Updated very clean accommodation, abundant amenities N/A
- Jake (6/5): Pleasant - Was fairly central to different areas of Vancouver and easily accessible. When we arrived we walked down the stairs and immediately there was recyclable rubbish right near the door. The toilet wasn't clean, had to be cleaned. 1 roll of toilet paper for 3 nights stay. Was a little bit of dust in the bathroom and the shower wasn't totally clean.
- Lisa (10/5): Staying at the Tranquil Retreat and visiting Vancouver Canada was an awesome and memorable trip. Th - We liked the location. It was close to a lot of the attractions we wanted to see and do. It’s beautifully decorated. It has a lot of the amenities you need and want.
- Asenath (9/5): My daughter and i had a very good time during our stay at cosy. The place was exceptionally clean, and uber transportati - Cleanliness Quiet and cosy
- Seonghui (10/5): It's like my home - I was comfortable for two days. I liked it on the first day, so I decided to cancel my previous reservation and stay in this accommodation longer. It's clean and quiet without any noise The location of this accommodation is so good that I have never taken a taxi except when I go to the airport at dawn while traveling to Vancouver Nope!
- Nemia (10/5): Very satisfied stay. Location is excellent. Very clean home. Worth staying when in Vancouver. - I stayed with my husband and my daughter for 2 nights only and what my family liked most is the host family Linda (Mom) and Jessi (daughter). They were both helpful in providing necessities to make my family's stay a very comfortable one. Jessi mentioned that I could just ring the bell if we needed anything since their family is basically staying at the main floor . The main retreat is located in almost a basement-like. Nothing to "not like". However, it would be helpful to night or late afternoon check-in travelers to see the stairs by the entrance. It is quite difficult coming up and down the stairs especially at night, as there is no light to guide you with the steps/stairs. Parking is by the side street and it is specified in the website though. However, the accommodation is not wheelchair accessible.
