• Paul (4/5): This property promised a lot but barely delivered. - Location We booked this property knowing that it had 1 poor review and hoping they were just “complainers”. I’ve never bothered to do reviews before but feel I need to share this 1. We are a family of 5 - the “sofa bed” in the lounge room couldn’t be used due to the excessive noise coming from the pub below until the early hours of the morning. The flat was small and a little “rough around the edges”- poorly maintained for a property of this price point-one bathroom had a broken shower holding mechanism and a leaking shower and the other a faulty locking mechanism where my 15 year old got stuck in the bathroom and the door couldn’t be opened from either side-you couldn’t even sit straight on either toilet due to space. Sink drains were clogged with hair etc that I had to service to allow sinks to drain. Place wasn’t “dirty” but wasn’t cleaned to a high standard either. None of the nice little touches that I’ve experienced at other properties. Finally, on our last night we were woken at nearly midnight by 2 men trying to enter our flat-the owner gave them the access codes-they were double booked in our apartment and next day we contacted him to tell him they had taken one of the keys and he didn’t even apologise, only concerned about the whereabouts of his keys.I regret staying here.
• Michelle (10/5): Exceptional - The property was clean, beautiful and had an excellent location. Two sh~owers were a great perk. The kitchen was fully stocked. We enjoyed the decor of the property as well.
• Rhonda (5/5): Great location but there are things that really need to be improved, especially for the high price. - Location at Christmas time was great. I think it is a bit misleading having 10 reviews of 5 stars from another platform. That other platform had 16 reviews so leaving some of those out of the calculation is not the right thing to do. It is not evident from the photos that the beds are low lying (not alot higher than just a mattress on the floor) This should have been mentioned. The lighting in main bedroom is not good either and annoying light shades as well as empty boxes stashed in there all together made for not a very comfortable room. Simple things that could be easily improved. I was told the other bedroom had space for suitcases, but that’s not the case at all so we had suitcases in the lounge room for the whole week, not sure why I was told there was space when there clearly isn’t. I guess you could stand them up in there but most people need to keep stuff in their cases to access especially when there is not enough shelving or drawers in the room. Since there is no meals table, the kitchen stools really need to at least be comfortable to sit on….but they are awful !
