Guest Reviews
- Joe (10/5): - Excellent location. Spacious and clean. Good Wi-Fi.
Highly recommend
- Helen (10/5): -
- Matt (7/5): -
- Katrina (10/5): -
- Melissa (6/5): Ok, but definitely not a couples retreat. - Location was great. Generous with towels. Spa in the unit wouldn’t turn on as they normally would. No main power switch to be found or instructions. Lacks a lot of privacy too with the unit next door looking straight in when they open louvres. One of the main reasons I booked so disappointed. Lots of noise from screaming kids in the pool. Fridge kept defrosting over the floor.
- Narelle (8/5): Excellent location. Amazing pool for all ages. Resort pool toys were a nice touch and well used by all guests - Outstanding pool but not as well maintained as Beachclub Palm Cove Sub standard restaurant
- Rossier (9/5): - Lieu magnifique, tres bien placé. Très grand appartement de luxe avec une magnifique piscine. Tout était parfait . Rien
- Ryan (3/5): -
- Nicole (9/5): Overall it was very clean and the property is great. It had great facilities and the grounds were well maintained. - The location to the main street, the beach and the marina. The facilities were fantastic and the lagoon pool was so good for kids having a beach entry. The toilet brushes were old and the beds were ok but not great.
- Sheona (10/5): - Great location. Easy to access and instructions for entry were perfect.
- Myles (10/5): Highly recommend. Fantastic location and accommodation. Excellent experience. - The location, the staff, the Easter nature show, the pool. The pool floor on the decent was rough and tended to give grazes. Otherwise, the pool was brilliant, and we spent most of our time in it.
- Nancy (8/5): - Had everything you need for vacation Musty smell without ac on. Allergies flared up a bit.
- Jon (10/5): -
- Gerald (10/5): - The location was fantastic, close to everything. The Port Douglas bus shuttle was amazing and really reasonable. Pool was beautiful and perfect temperature. Our room had a strong smell of mould and the spa bath did not work or drain properly. We had tried to reach the owner however no response to resolve the issue.
- Tim (7/5): Comfortable stay and would recommend. - Close proximity to beach and Main Street, along with large pool. There wasn’t direct access to the room from reception and parking space. Just a consideration if you have children and considerable amounts of luggage.
- Sharon (8/5): - Beautiful spot close to town wharf and restaurants
Good facilities and great pool area! Would be great to have a snack menu at all times!..especially between breakfast and lunch 😋
- Glenn (6/5): Not good value. There are better places in Port Douglas for the same or less $ Probably our 5th and last stay at Beach - The settings is pretty nice and location is good The place has gone down hill a lot since Covid. Doesn't appear to be maintained to the same level it used to be. The property managers only told us the spa in the spa room we'd booked wasn't working AFTER we arrived (when they knew earlier - because they admitted it on the phone). If we'd known during the period we could cancel, we probably would have. Pretty annoying and deceptive behaviour. Not impressed. Staff were basically useless like they just don't care anymore. The onsite restaurant / bar prices have gone up significantly and seem quite ridiculous.
- Smith (10/5): Great stay, beautiful location and facilities amazing helpful staff - Everything
- Edward (2/5): Dissatisfied. Did not get what I booked and paid for. - Location was good, less than 10 mins walk to the start of Macrossan Street. Picked this apartment because it was advertised as being a Spa Suite but sadly the Spa bath did not work.
- Esteban (9/5): - La ubicación y la piscina La habitación no tiene una pileta para lavar las tazas del café
- Jared (9/5): Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable luxury stay. - Well located, beautifully furnished.
- Flavia (6/5): On hindsight we should have booked the accommodation directly with the resort. - The resort location is amazing as well as the pool. We stayed in a private accommodation which meant that while we could use the facilities at the resort, it didn't include daily cleaning services and towel/linen change. For 6 days, probably not the best option. Also the fan in the second room was not working as well as it should. Thankfully we didnt have really hot days but even so, we would wake up sticky from sweat.
- Carmen (8/5): Great location excellent pool and vibe, great staff and great value for money - Convenience - great amenities No room refresh or linen change for the week long stay
- Kate (9/5): -
- Rachel (8/5): -
- Jeremy (7/5): -
- Donna (7/5): Great pool, location awesome would come back again - Pool, balcony and location The apartment could have been cleaner especially the floors
- Noisette (10/5): When can I come back haha - Absolutely love peppers port Douglas! The location and the resort is one of the best
- Gavin (8/5): All in all this is a great place to stay and the location is perfect in close proximity to the shops - The pool was amazing. As we got this room from a private owner we didn’t have breakfast as part of the package. In saying that, we were happy walking to nearby cafes for Breakfast The room was nice and location was great. Maybe next time we will get something that also has a kitchen sink and some cooking facilities. Had to go and buy batteries for the remote for the air conditioner as it wasn’t working when we arrived.
- Jack (5/5): Pool is nice but the room was not clean and not 5 star worthy - Location was good and the pool was nice for young kids. The room we stayed in needed a good clean. There was dust built up on bedroom walls, dust and dirt on all fans and lights. The walls and door handles were very dirty and needed a good clean. It definitely was not 5 star worthy. It should also be made clear to guests that only 1 of the bedrooms in the two bedroom apartment has aircon. This is not clear in the advertising.
There was also several broken things in our room like the blind and the door to the laundry. This was more annoying than a problem but not what you would expect from 5 star accommodation
- Sorcha (8/5): -
- Elissa (7/5): Apartment needs TLC but the location was unmatched. - The location was fantastic, close to the Main Street and beach, the rooms were spacious and the pool was great for our little ones. The apartment had lots of signs of wear and tear, the shutters in both bedrooms were off the hinge and wouldn’t close properly, as well as the laundry doors, and there was no fan in the bathroom. For a similar price I would have booked directly with peppers and had better customer service.
- Margaret anne (10/5): -
- Lauren (9/5): -
- Kristen (10/5): -
- rachelle (6/5): - Lots of space, great location on ground floor (particularly for those with prams). Great view of the pool. Cleanliness- we found cockroaches all over the house which wasn’t pleasant. The host said they would spray for future guests.
- Brendan (1/5): Would never stay here again - Not much, just location The noise, doors continuously slamming, no elevator access to rooms, no parking for room. Some of these items are advertised as being provided
Hosts were not helpful, communication were not timely if supplied at all, still waiting for a response to some communications.
- Andrea (6/5): Great location and pool. Stay at Peppers itself. - Great location. A block from 4 Mile Beach and a very short walk to Macrossan St. The Peppers Resort itself is great, especially the pool. The company listing/renting the property were polite and quick to respond to concerns. The view from the balony is lovely and the pool is great for both adults and children. Whilst the company renting the property were quick to respond and did try to resolve a few of the concerns we raised, you're essentially staying at an privately owned apartment within the Peppers complex. Had we been guests of Peppers itself, the issues would not have occured, or could have been sorted out very quickly. No hairdryer, BBQ not working, blind in second bedroom not working (there was a typed label stuck to the wall telling us the blind didn't work which begs the question, why not just get it fixed..) In hindsight, we should have read some of the more medicore reviews more carefully, they were spot on. Nevertheless, we had a great time.
- Natalia (6/5): Nice but not luxury - I think the owners/managers of the property are lovely - we had a few issues throughout our stay and they were prompt in their communication in return. Location was great, right in the heart of things and an easy walk to beach, restaurants and shopping. I don’t know what is luxury about the property… the apartment is generally a bit run down (as is the rest of peppers), and the beds and sheets are uncomfortable. It’s a cosy little apartment and we made the most of it but definitely not luxury. Non smoking signs could be more clear, we had a smokers issue next door which meant we couldn’t use the balcony for part of our stay, turns out they were unaware it was a non smoking area.
- Joanne (9/5): Lovely apartment overlooking pool. Near to the Main Street and Marina. - Pool was lovely
- Aileen (8/5): Very enjoyable - Great location Main bathroom needed some repairs
- Ali (10/5): Loved our stay. - Location was great. Loved the pool. Apartment cosy.
- Saskia (8/5): Very good -
- Julia (10/5): Exceptional - The pool and lounge beds were great
- Mccormick (8/5): Great place for short stay - Location
- Lindi (9/5): The room and the resort was clean, comfortable and private. The view over the pool was gorgeous. - Location was perfect - short walk to everything
- Ellen (10/5): Very comfortable family holiday with incredible pool and location! - Pool is amazing! Location to main strip of town and beach is great! Apartment was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and easy to deal with. We will book again in future.
- Martin (7/5): Good family accommodation close to beach and town - Great location goid amount of room for a family of 6 No fan in ensuite , bedroom shilutters broken and internal door broken coffee machine broken
- Joseph (9/5): Superb - beautiful room, hotel and location, everything is walking distance even with young kids, hopefully return soon if i were to pick on only a few minor things that are easily fixable
door between rooms dont fully close
some comfier pillows wouldn't go astray
but overall a beautiful stay
- Leonard (9/5): Pretty Peppers, Very Relaxing - Great holiday spot, clean room, walking distance to the main strip and four mile beach. The cleaner provided 2 tubes of conditioner and no shampoo. Just bare essentials provided so bring exaclty what you need for your stay
- Paterson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jo (9/5): Superb -
- Vawyn (10/5): Perfect accommodation, beautiful resort . -
- Kylie (8/5): Very good -
- Jennifer (8/5): Handy to town and beach - Very handy to walk to town and beach. Spacious apartment Noisy from 7am til 9pm. Loud music all the time plus screaming children
- Steve (9/5): Superb -
- Louise (9/5): We had a lovely short break in Port Douglas which is as beautiful as ever! - Our flights arrived fairly early into Cairns and therefore our transfers to Port Douglas saw us arrive at around 12.00 noon. We were aware that we couldn’t get into our apartment until 2.00pm which was fine but we were told by Peppers Beach Club Reception that we were unable to leave our suitcases anywhere as the apartment was a private apartment. We obviously didn’t want to drag two large suitcases around town for two hours so had to sit and wait until 2.00pm which was a little disappointing.
The exhaust fan in the bathroom didn’t work and the second bedroom doesn’t have an air conditioner otherwise the apartment is lovely.
- A (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vanessa (9/5): Very relaxing holiday! - The pool and location
- Brodie (10/5): Amazing stay, lifetime memories ❤️ - The resorts pool was amazing! Had everything we needed, luxury stay.
- Samantha (9/5): Perfect stay for our young family. Thank you - We loves our stay. The pool was amazing and walking distance to town.
- Stephanie (7/5): Good - Access and use of all amenities was great, view of pool was nice too. Room was small and air conditioning had to remain on due to humidity but it leaked. Shower head was damaged and kept falling off.
- Susie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lit (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joost (8/5): Great stay — splendid hosts - Great location, nice pool, clean apartment, friendly staff, parking lot in the basement, AC in living room and bedroom, smart TV with Netflix, coffee machine and cups available, plenty of bathroom supplies, barbecue and nice seating on the terrace. The hosts are great and resolved a misunderstanding in the most professional and helping way, causing our stay to be even better. The resort a is a bit of a maze and it can be a bit tricky to find the way to the apartment.
- Carol (9/5): We had a lovely time really enjoyed our stay. - Location and loved the pool As we were there for 7 days would have been good to be serviced or change of towels or a laundry room as was so humid nothing dried.
- Arlene (9/5): Charming resort with a great pool & nice apartment - Great location just a couple of blocks from Macrossan St. Liked having the restaurant & bar onsite. Bathroom drain was a bit musty
- Ajskins (8/5): Great place to stay - Unbelievable pool, room was very good overlooking the pool.
Good location, short walk to the beach and restaurants
- Aaron (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lauren (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniel (8/5): Cosy neat hotel room in close to the middle of port Douglas - Great location just a small walk from the Main Street and also 4 mile beach. Room was small but more than enough for two people for a short stay Pool is slightly awkward in the sense it’s either very shallow or quite deep but otherwise was great
- Nadia (9/5): Superb -
- Ioana (7/5): Good - Staying in the property provides access to the Peppers Beach Club swimming pool. The property is not managed by Peppers Beach Club hence there is no cleaning of the room included in the price.
- Cristian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ali (9/5): Relaxing, stress free time away from reality. - N/A N/A
- Keryn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alana (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic hotel for families, pool was great for kids, staff so helpful and friendly Everything was perfect
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional -
- Judy (10/5): Absolutely perfect 😊 - Beautiful surroundings, pool amazing, apartment had everything we needed, short stroll into town and beach. Perfect!
- Kate (8/5): Very good -
- Dane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marko (10/5): The perfect relaxation place to stay. - Location, comfort, cleanliness and communication with the host. The property was just perfect
- Eugene (9/5): Superb -
- Samuel (6/5): Pleasant - We love the peppers resort I think a stay of 7 night should at least get a room refresh half way through. Understand 10 nights does, but anything over 5 nights is a long time to go with no fresh towels or atleast refresh of some kind.
- Shane (3/5): Poor - Pool area. Room was not clean and smelt very strong of mildew. All glasses and cutlery , microwave and fridge looked like it had not been cleaned. Just for example fridge freezer door was iced over and could not open
At around $400 plus a night for a studio room not happy with it. When I rang voicing my concerns just kept blaming recent storms as the issues with smell and saying they had spent 6 k on the clean up? Pool area nice. Overall very disappointed in our stay.
- Ruth (10/5): Exceptional Luxury in Tropical Paradise - My stay at Peppers Beach Club in a studio suite apartment was nothing short of perfection. From the moment I arrived, I felt an atmosphere of pure luxury and relaxation. The suite itself was beautifully appointed and the spacious layout and modern design made it feel like a home away from home. The view from my balcony over the lagoon swimming pool added a feeling of absolute serenity. The king-sized bed was incredibly comfortable and the high-end amenities made my stay all the more enjoyable.
A highlight of my stay was the impeccable service provided by the property manager and resort staff. They were attentive, friendly and always ready to go the extra mile to make my stay unforgettable. Whether it was arranging a private tour of the Great Barrier Reef or simply providing excellent dining recommendations, they truly made me feel like a VIP.
The resort's facilities were equally impressive. The pool area was a tropical oasis, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring and the on-site restaurant was exceptional. The location of the resort is ideal as well, offering easy access to both the stunning Four Mile Beach and the heart of Port Douglas.
My experience in the studio suite was nothing short of extraordinary. If you're looking for a luxurious and peaceful escape in one of the most beautiful destinations in the world then this is the place to stay. I can't wait to return! It was absolutely perfect :)
- Jenny (6/5): Pleasant - The hotel pool was lovely. The pool was warm and really big. The hotel cafe served yummy food. Hotel was a great location, short walk to the marina and even shorter walk to the beach. The apartment smelt musty. There was not an extractor fan in the bathroom, so during/after showering the room was full of condensation.
The oven thermostat was broken, so unable to use the oven as everything burnt.
Hotel staff would not allow us to store our cases after check out on the final day for a few hours before our shuttle pickup.
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was clean, spacious and well equipped. The pool was lovely and it was an easy walk into town. We loved the view of the pool. The milk frother didn't work. The sofa was a bit smelly.
- Catherine (10/5): Fabulous. Would love to do it again. -
- Andrew (9/5): Was amazing - Location was a+
Apartment was easy to access and the best directions for key pick up
- Cassie (8/5): Loved it - Pepper is fantastic however the apartment was a little run down. Pool
- Jill (9/5): Superb -
- Suzi (6/5): Needs updating to the apartment but enjoyed our stay - Location and pool The apartment was quite tired, needs some work
- Nadia (10/5): Exceptional - Great apartment & facilities
- Claire (9/5): Superb -
- Susan (8/5): Great location, lovely lagoon pool. - Lovely lagoon pool, close to beach and Main Street of Port Douglas. Good on-site restaurant with pleasant staff. We stayed in a spa suite that was a little old-fashioned and slightly run-down. It was (I think) privately owned and not serviced by the hotel. This meant no clean sheets or towels in the week we stayed. If you prefer daily service it’s best to book into the hotel section.
- Megan (9/5): Superb -
- Sophie (8/5): Lovely apartment in perfect location - Location. Pool. Friendly staff. Very clean. Would love a small outdoor cafe type table. Outdoor spa needed a couple of touch ups.
- Netasha (7/5): Good -
