Kathaye and Esteban made me feel welcome and at home from the moment I walked through the door, and went out of their way to help me arrange transport, prepare breakfast, and greet me with kindness. The breakfast was incredible, experience was intimate and homey, but luxurious with that beautiful pool. I will be back!

I had a terrible experience with this Hotel, the hotel ran out of power at 5am (for 12 hours) in the morning in the day I needed to check out. I was forced to get out of the properly and it was really uncomfortable to know a hotel with this category has no backup power to handle these situations. I wasn't able to rest properly and when the power went out, I was able to hear employees in the kitchen talking from my bedroom which basically woke us up before we were planning to start our day. Really bad experience with this hotel compared to other boutique hotel downtown in Cartagena.

À ce prix là c'est juste honteux. On entend son voisin dire "OK google" (les chambres sont connectées)... Plusieurs chambres sont situées le long du couloir de passage et en face du lieu de convivialité où il y à la piscine. On entend tout comme si les gens étaient dans la chambre. Nous avons donc très mal dormi.

• JENNIFER (3/5): Extremely disappointing stay and far below expectations. Not worth the cost - The only positive aspect of our stay was the hotel staff. They were kind and welcoming. Jinessa , Esteban and the woman who helped with our luggage. If it weren’t for them, my experience would have been much worse Let’s start with the fact that the photos shown online do not match reality at all. Yes, the location is excellent, but the rooms leave a lot and I mean a lot to be desired. It is extremely overpriced for what they actually offer. The air conditioner is not powerful enough for the room, so it stays uncomfortably hot. The sheets were stained, there was no nightstand on both sides of the bed, and the walls were dirty, unpainted, and poorly patched. On top of that, the water went out during our stay and the internet didn’t work. The room didn’t even have a desk to work on or a proper place to put our luggage (on the floor) There weren’t any hooks to hang clothes either. Regarding breakfast, for Cartagena, a coastal city with rich local cuisine, I was expecting something more typical. Instead, they only offer waffles, and even then, when I ordered some, they brought me pancakes. It was so disappointing that it didn’t even feel worth complaining. The breakfast area wasn’t even set up; we had to wait for them to prepare it. Thank God it was only one night, but we will not be returning. I do not recommend this place; there are many better options in Cartagena.

• Alexandra (10/5): Eine kleine Oase der Stille und Ruhe im belebten Cartagena - Sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtetes kleines Boutique-Hotel, ausgewähltes und jeweils frisch zubereitetes Frühstück, zuvorkommendes Personal. Der Blick von der Terrasse ist wunderbar. Die Fenster sind schallisoliert, sodass man die angrenzende Seitenstrasse fast nicht hört. Die Lage ist am Rande der Altstadt in einem guten Quartier; in 5 Minuten ist man an zentralen Plätzen. Insgesamt ist es etwas ruhiger an dieser Ecke, was der Erholung gut tut (keine laute Disko nebenan ;-)) Nicht alle Zimmer haben abgetrennte Bäder, was allenfalls nicht für jede Reisepartnerschaft passt. Das allenfalls kurz anfragen vorher. Aber das Hotel ist sonst absolut top!

Un servicio super personalizado, super pendientes de nuestras consultas, necesidades, inquietudes e incluso con requerimientos especiales. El desayuno también se encuentra en nuestro top 3, local, fresco y riquísimo. La cama la hubiésemos querido más grande, pero nada más que eso, el resto, impecable.
• Mariana (9/5): - This hotel feels like part of the historic ruins of Cartagena — full of charm and tranquility. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing, almost like being in a spa. The rooms are not only very well equipped, but also automated and integrated with voice control via Google, which adds a modern and comfortable touch to the stay. The only downside was that we arrived about two hours before check-in and were not able to access the room earlier. However, this seems to be quite standard practice in the region.

Todos dispostos a nos servir até em horário alternativos para não prejudicar nosso cronograma de viagem e passeios. Excelente! Cartagena é uma cidade muito quente. Nas áreas comuns do hotel não há climatização com ar condicionado ou ventiladores de teto, somente ventiladores de chão (torre). É o único ponto não-positivo que tenho a comentar sobre. No quarto, porém, o ar condicionado era potente, refrigerava bem rápido, e tinha um ventilador de teto.

• John (9/5): A very relaxing private Hotel that felt like a large house in reality and i was looked after like a - I liked the personal treatment, the quiet surroundings, excellent location to the old city wall and town center. Breakfast was a bonus as was the cool waters of the plunge pool. I don't think much could have been better, I did however struggle with the language barrier, coming from Australia we don't have a need to speak any other language than English. We did get by with my limited knowledge of Spanish and the staffs couple of words of English. I was pleasantly amused with our broken communication.

Pagué por una habitación “Junior Suite” que no se parece en nada a la habitación que figura en las fotos de Booking. Es más, primero me alojé en una “habitación Deluxe” que en principio era de menor categoría y costaba menos, pero realmente era más amplia que la Junior Suite en la que me alojé unos días después. Lo peor fue la atención del administrador cuando le hicimos el reclamo. Tuvo muy mala actitud y nunca nos dio una solución.

Cerca a todo y cómodo para ir y venir todo el tiempo mientras recorres el casco antiguo. Fuimos un grupo de amigas a varios cuartos. Yo tuve suerte y me tocó un cuarto bonito y de buen tamaño; que coincidía con el precio y expectativa a la hora se hacer mi reserva. Sin embargo, otros dos cuartos que pagaron lo mismo que yo no tuvieron la misma suerte. Y cuando comunicamos eso a la administración del hotel, fueron muy poco profesionales y cero amables. Solo intentábamos hacerles ver que lo que indican en su web o en páginas asociadas como booking.com no coincidía con la reserva originalmente pagada ni con las fotos mostradas. Nunca ofrecieron disculpas ni tampoco ningún tipo de consideración.

Sábanas con manchas (aunque a priori, recién lavadas) y dormimos en una “cama doble” compuesta de dos colchones individuales unidos pero a lo ancho (te quedaba la junta de ambos colchones justo en la espalda). Además, literalmente me levantó una escolopendra pasando por mi cara por la noche y el vigilante, únicamente la barrió al pasillo, donde podía entrar a otra habitación. Una situación fortuita pero que para nada nos compensaron en un hotel tan caro.

Hemos tenido que reclamar a través de Booking. Hotel POCO FIABLE en este sentido, no puedo recomendarlo.

L’hotel dà sulla strada principale di Cartagena e non si può letteralmente dormire un minuto. Musica, chiacchiere, auto che passano: si sente tutto. Piccolo extra: mi hanno dato un uovo marcio a colazione, 3 giorni di vacanze buttati via. Non stanno attenti al cibo e non sono in grado di dirti se un alimento ha o no degli ingredienti, nel dubbio ti dicono di no per fartelo prendere senza preoccuparsi delle conseguenze.

• Stephen-Marcos (1/5): Misleading, Miserable, and Managed by a Greedy Ghost – Avoid - The photos taken for marketing the property to unsuspecting guests. I rarely write reviews, but I feel compelled to warn others: do not book the Moet Cartagena Boutique Hotel. Our experience here was deeply disappointing and upsetting from the moment we checked in. We arrived expecting a charming, comfortable stay based on the photos on the booking platform. What we were shown, however, bore little resemblance. The first room had no glass in the bathroom window, and the view looked out directly onto a noisy, traffic-heavy road. When we requested to move, we were shown to a second room – next door – which felt more like a jail cell than a hotel room. Yes, it had a window with glass this time, but it was literally hanging off its hinges. Trying to make the best of it, I went to take a shower – only to find a dribble of lukewarm water, leaking from the back of the shower fitting. Absolutely unacceptable. I spoke with the reception, who was kind and understanding. I explained that the room had been grossly misrepresented, and that given it was a special trip and they had no alternative rooms for that night, we would like to leave and receive a refund. Then came the invisible, slippery boss on the phone, who insisted that a refund wasn’t possible, hiding behind vague “processes” and the fact that it was a non-refundable booking – while simultaneously acknowledging that he “understood our situation.” He claimed only the booking platform could refund us – a blatant lie. He simply refused to take responsibility or act with any basic decency. It was clear he was more interested in keeping our money than offering any actual hospitality. To add insult to injury, the so-called highlight of the hotel – the roof terrace – was closed for renovations, a fact that had not been disclosed anywhere prior to booking. This hotel is a textbook case of false advertising, poor maintenance, and utterly disgraceful management. We left, out of pocket and incredibly frustrated, and spent the rest of our trip regretting ever having booked here.

• Lucas Crantschaninov (4/5): Se posicionam como hotel boutique de luxo, mas fazem das tripas, coração - A localização é excelente. O hotel tem a melhor vista da muralha, do terraço do último piso. O ambiente é bonito e acolhedor. Estão longe de ser um hotel boutique de luxo, como se posicionam. O ambiente comúm do hotel não possui ar-condicionado. O espaço é quente. Muito bonito porém pouco agradável para ocupar-lo. Os quartos são automatizados (luz, tv, ar acondicionado) com comandos de voz, que na prática não funcionam. A cama deveria ser MUUUITO mais comfortável, porém é só OK. O jogo de cama (lençóis, fronha, endredom, cobertor), assim como as toalhas estão feias, manchadas, com aparência de sujas (por mais que estejam recém lavadas), nada dignas de um hotel deste perfil. Não se tomam em conta os cuidados pertinentes em armazenar os utencílios de cozinha. Estes ficam expostos durante dia, tarde, e noite, com a cozinha sem uso, em um clima hospitalar para insetos e animais de todo tipo. Durante a minha estadia, o café não era de boa qualidade, não tinham chocolate (bebida típica em cafés da manhã na Colômbia) nem leite vegetal.
• elena (6/5): Buena ubicacion para Cartagena pero difícil de disfrutar la estancia en este hotel - Lo que más nos gustó fue la ubicación, la cama era cómoda,el aire acondicionado funcionaba bastante bien y el personal muy amable y educado Destacar varias cosas, en la recepción y zona de desayunos hace una temperatura de 30 grados como mínimo da igual la hora que sea y se hace realmente incómodo tomar el desayuno ahí porque los ventiladores que hay en el techo no cumplen su función, la ducha caía el agua a cuentagotas y se hacía muy difícil darte una buena Ducha después de un día de playa porque apenas salía agua en condiciones.

Very nice terrace for relax or to make sport in the morning and very cozy place for breakfast. Very kind and professional stuff. Also made as very nice working place on fresh swimming pool area. We were leaving at 1 pm, hotel organized us delivery of lunch from restaurant we wanted. Real personal care. Despite there was the things, which we had issue on breakfast (be fair: spoiled EU travelers), all what we addressed was immediately taking care of and changed, that it fits to our needs. Food tasty. The manager took personally care about everything we wanted to have differently.

• Katherine (10/5): Marvelous place! - Everything, the installations are modern and súper Ocean, the staff is amazing and very helpfull. The breakfast was incredible and the facilities are like in the pictures. We were received with 2 refreshing drinks and the staff helped us to book a table for dinner in an amazing local restaurant. Without doubt I will return to this restaurant in the future! That I have to go and my stay was too short!
