• Fernando (1/5): Mouse in the apartment - There was mouse in the apartment!! The mouse was running around the kitchen!! It’s insane, with a serious health hazard for me, my wife, and my daughter!! I complained to the owner because I believe they should have refunded the entire stay, as we had to live with mice!!! It took us a day to find new accommodation, and they only agreed to refund from the day we left. I am still waiting for the refund for the unused nights, and it has already been more than a week since we left, when the refund should have been issued instantly.

• Svitlana (10/5): Exceptional - We were very pleased with our stay at these apartments. They are located in a charming, atmospheric historic building with a fireplace, which adds a cozy and welcoming touch. At the same time, the apartments are modernly furnished and equipped with all the necessary contemporary amenities. You can truly feel that the place is arranged with care and love for the guests — every detail is thoughtfully considered to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The check-in process is remote, which is very convenient and saves time. The location is excellent — within walking distance to both the train and bus stations. There's also a nearby bus stop with direct service to the airport, as well as supermarkets and lovely restaurants in the area. Highly recommended! -

• Csanád (6/5): Pleasant - The apartment was spacious, the facilities were good, check-in and check-out went smoothly on site. The online check-in process did not really work well: verification/check-in was needed to be completed on their own website. However, booking.com removed the links sent in the chat (understandably, as it indeed looked a bit suspicious). I think this procedure should be dropped in favor of standard booking.com functions. The apartment itself is okay, though the floor is extremely uneven and the paint is missing from the ceiling at some point making a slightly uncomfortable feeling. However, the worst part is definitely the location. It is a very unfriendly part of the city. I felt uncomfortable and out-of-humor every time I had to approach or leave the house.

• Michie (10/5): Coziest Rental Ever! - It was very roomy, breathable, super clean, classy, fresh, perfect area close to Hamilton GO station. Easy access and close to restaurants as well. Perfect stay! One of the lamps in the bedroom did not work, and the wifi was slow

• Lauren (5/5): Convenient and good value but not as advertised. - staff kind and easy to deal with--gave refund that we deserved and asked any questions I had quickly and politely; well equipped kitchen, cute decor, high walkability and near amenities and restaurants. my major complaint is that it was listed as non-smoking but the room requires a deep clean of walls/replacement of carpet and curtains from previous smoke damage. Property denied any smoke damage but I used to work at a motel and I am well aware of what smoke damage smells like and looks like. We had to check out early because of this -- but management did give us a refund for the nights we did not stay.

• Sara (8/5): Just what I needed for my stay- comfortable, accessible and simple. - There was onsite parking and a full kitchen. The apartment has windows in all rooms so there was natural light and air. Communication through the host site was easy and when I was not able to access the codes to enter upon arrival, I was able to talk with John on the phone and via text, in real time which was welcomed and helpful. The bedroom was over the entryway to the building so I could hear folks coming and going.

• Jeff (2/5): Very poor - Location was perfect The booking process was a major headache,you could hear every noise in the whole building(bad echos) and the sheets on the pullout couch gave us a horrible rash
• Jordan (8/5): Good location. Nice place. A bit noisy. Too many check-in requirements and communications. - Convenient location if you need to travel via Hamilton GO Centre. The place is quite nice and has all the amenities required for a short or long-term stay. The place is quite noisy due to being an old house converted to multiple rooms. There is a bar across the street and it can get quite loud on weekends when people are outside. The host provides earplugs for a reason. I found the check-in process to be the most inconvenient part of this booking. I received messages and notifications from both Booking.com and the host and had to provide additional information, including my credit card information on two separate occasions, to the host. You also have to use their app/website to get your check-in information and door codes, which are only provided at the exact time of your check-in.

• Danae (9/5): Superb - The whole ambiance was just beautiful and just what we needed. The apartment is beautiful and close to restaurants and stores. The plug in the bathroom didn't work.

• B (10/5): Exceptional - The high ceilings have clean it was how comfortable the bed was and how beautiful the design/layout was... Couldn't ask for more ! I wish the bedroom would have had a door or some sort of a screen or something so that you couldn't see right into the living room but besides that I don't have anything I can think of to complain about

While not under the owner's control, other renters were slightly problematic: Strong smell of marijuana from one unit, potential sex work was happening in another unit.

• Yuliya (3/5): Ok for a last minute booking, but I wouldn't stay here again. - -The location was good -The building exterior is beautiful as is the old fireplace in the unit. -Most parts of the apartment were clean. -Ear plugs provided was a nice touch though we didn't end up needing them. -Big. We were three adults and it was a lot of space. -The mattress was too soft and it was the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on. This alone would make me want to never stay here again. -100 dollar deposit with a third party website felt sketchy. -Tiny bathroom sink, uncomfortable to use. -No tea or coffee. -You have to throw your garbage in the big bins at the back of the building which the host didn't explain properly despite messaging me way too much about other things. They didn't respond when I messaged for clarification until way after check out but luckily I ran into the cleaner in the hallway. -While most of the apartment was clean a lot of the furniture was in very rough shape and the living room rug had bits of old food on it. - 4 pm check-in/10 am checkout times are not standard and unreasonable in my opinion. Cleaner knocked on the door at 9:45 to remind us that checkout was at 10.

• Gordon (8/5): A very affordable stay in a spacious old character apartment in the heart of old Hamilton. - I was in town for a conference and hotel space was limited and very expensive. This apartment was more affordable, more spacious, just as close, and in a really interesting old neighbourhood of Hamilton. I felt like I got to know the city a bit just living there. The host's instructions for parking and the door passwords were clear and very detailed, and he seemed to respond day or night to any queries (like did it have an iron, yes). The apartment could use a bit more TLC here and there, but not in a way that detracted from my stay at all. I really enjoyed walking the neighbourhood and viewing grand old homes built in the 1860s. The old place if of course shy on electrical outlets. I suggested some multi-plugs for some outlets, and perhaps an extension cord. One window is missing a screen. And the place (at least my apartment of 3C was not as bright and air brushed as the photos, but it did meet my expectations.
