• Gyula (8/5): Good price/value apartment - Really kind owner, close to public transportation, and near Lidl and Tesco Express. The bathroom has been renovated, and the apartment is near a park. As I understand it, parking is free from Friday 16:30 until Monday 8:30, and on weekdays from 16:30 to 8:30. I parked my rental car on the street during these times and had no issues. I was always able to find a parking space somewhere nearby. The city center is about 30 minutes away by public transportation. Bus 15 is very convenient for getting into the city, and you can enjoy the view from the upper deck of the double-decker bus. Our room was the only room facing north, and it was little cold. I asked the owner about it, and the next night was better. Slippers are mentioned in the facilities, but when I asked for it I was told They don't have it. For me it was strange to use bathroom without slippers.

Badezimmer zur Mitbenutzung mit Durchlauferhitzer in der Dusche; funktioniert nicht optimal. Aber kein Problem! Lage ist nicht optimal, in Bezug auf U-Bahn oder Pubs.

• Daniel (3/5): Terrible, do not risk. - The location. There are numerous things to critique. The staff wasn't nice nor professional. Two homeowners live on the premises in other rooms inside the house. On three separate occasions, the homeowner left his room to come out and specifically give us critiques.. He told me to take our laundry down the street to dry because he didn't want moisture in the house. What's the point of advertising laundry as a utility on the website when you force us to go to the laundromat anyways. We were not allowed to have our door open. There were other guests there so we had to not only rotate showers between ourselves, but then rotate showers with the other guests who are random people we didn't want to associate with. I'm not sure if this is a European thing, but we were only provided one towel for each person, and no towel in the bathroom. So we often forgot to bring our shower towel into the bathroom and had nothing to dry our hands with. If we wanted to wash our towel after usage, again, we had to go to the local laundromat to do so, since he said he didn't want us hanging or drying anything... even though there are windows to let air in. The biggest grievance was that, since the homeowners lived there, there was their dirty laundry in a basket in the hall, their groceries were on the counter and dishes in the sink, their cleaning supplies were scattered everywhere, their shampoo and conditioner were in the bathroom, etc. Instead of having an apartment of your own that was clean and private, you will instead be living in someone else's house while they are there and actively come out to tell you to stop doing whatever you are doing. Instead of privacy, you have to tip-toe around the homeowners looking out of their room peep-hole. This was truly a terrible experience, and very misleading. There were other issues, but frankly, I'm tired and writing this review on my phone. I'm just happy to be rid of this place.

• Herbert (4/5): Eher nicht mehr über Booking.com. - Die Freundlichkeit des Gastgebers sowie die Ruhe des Quartiers. Die Betten waren sehr sauber und bequem. Der Wegbeschrieb war katastrophal. Bei unserer Ankunft trafen wir niemanden an und konnten die Türe nicht öffnen wegen fehlendem Passwort. Auch Booking.com war für uns nicht erreichbar. Nur Dank der tatkräftigen Unterstützung durch die Nachbarn konnten wir das Domizil überhaupt beziehen. Das Elektrische musste vom Gastgeber am zweiten Tag funktionell gemacht werden. Das Bad liess an Sauberkeit zu wünschen übrig und duschen war entweder eiskalt oder brühend heiss möglich. Die Küche haben wir nicht benutzt, da sie total überstellt war mit Nippes und Lebensmitteln.

• Riad (8/5): Bon rapport qualité prix - Le lieu est très bien situé, transports en commun à 5/15min. LIDL et autres supérettes à 300m si vous avez besoin de faire quelques petites courses, snacks et restaurants à proximité. Matelas confortable, j’ai bien dormi malgré quelques bruits du voisinage à travers le mur. Pour les rangements, vous n’aurez que des cintres et pas de placards. L’hôte est très arrangeant et fait des recommandations pour les lieux à visiter. Vous pourrez sortir et entrer librement, veuillez tout de même à rester respectueux en ne faisant pas de bruits pour ne pas déranger les occupants. La température de la douche est assez spéciale à régler

• Dan (4/5): It was fine, but wouldn't recommend. - The location was good. The host was quick in his response. The price was decent. When we arrived the room wasn't ready. The bathroom wasn't clean, the toilet was clogged after the first day. However, this was repaired quite soon. The shower was very bad, either cold or scorching hot. Also the locks on the room were very easily to be removed, so that didn't feel safe. For travelers trying to have a cheap stay close to the centre knowing they’ll only need a place to close their eyes, it’s fine. If you travel alone, keep in mind there are bad locks.

• Rob (8/5): Prima plek als je geen al te hoge eisen stelt. - Twee kamers in de verhuur, op eerste etage, eigenaar woont beneden. Eigenaar is erg vriendelijk. Met een code kun je de woning in. Gezamenlijke douche/toilet. Keuken op begane grond, hier hebben wij geen gebruik van gemaakt. Kan ik niks over zeggen Kamer was schoon , Bed was prima, douche met gebruiks aanwijzing. Afstand naar metro dikke tien minuten lopen. Lidl op 300 meter.
• Harry (8/5): ‘THE’ comfiest bed! - Lovely comfy bed. Was peaceful in the dead of night. TV has plenty of channels choice. Spacious room with hangers for clothes. A couple of loud conversations woke me, but soon fell back to sleep again.

• Neill (10/5): Comfy clean quiet room with a gracious host - I would book again! - Quiet, comfortable and clean room and facilities in a nice quiet neighborhood an easy walk from Limehouse station. Friendly, polite, well-organised hosts who were very flexible regarding check-in, communicated well, and generally made me feel very welcome during my stay. The shower could maybe be a bit easier to use but it is nice and clean, hot, and it works! No problems!
• Gabrielle (9/5): Un séjour très agréable, au calme, dans une maison d'hôtes bien accueillante !! - C'était la première fois que je dormais en dehors du centre touristique de Londres, je ne savais donc pas trop à quoi m'attendre - et j'ai trouvé une maison d'hôtes très agréable, très accessible avec le bus 5 tout près ou Limehouse Station à 10 minutes à pied, et des très chouettes balades au bout de la rue (Canal Walk, les Docks, les pubs des Docks...)... La maison est vraiment accueillante et la décoration est très chouette. La cuisine est parfaitement équipée. Notre chambre était très confortable et calme, avec des informations touristiques bien utiles ! Et notre hôte était très à l'écoute. Vraiment je recommande Limehouse Guest House. La lumière passait sous les rideaux, mais ça ne nous a pas empêchés de bien dormir. Éventuellement, un mode d'emploi de la douche serait utile =) Vraiment rien de très important...

• Chinfa (2/5): A very dishonest host - No We stayed at Limehouse Guest House in London from May 20 to 22. Actually, We searched on Booking.com for Twin rooms with two beds and booked two rooms in Taiwan. However, the booking system showed two rooms for 2 people in total, instead of two rooms for 4 people. We discovered this issue before our trip and reported it to Booking.com. They told us it wouldn’t be a problem. During the 12 days prior to our stay in London, and the following 11 days of travel in Germany, several hosts noticed the same issue. However, after we explained the situation and showed the booking details, they all agreed that there seemed to be a problem with the Chinese version of Booking.com's system. However, the host in London was different. When I tried to explain the situation to him, he rudely refused to listen, saying he didn’t understand Chinese, and shouted at us to leave and said we couldn't stay. Later, we asked Booking.com to mediate. The host demanded an additional £40. However, when I checked the price difference between one and two guests at the Same Twin room, it was only £10 different per room. So even if our booking was incorrect, the most he should have charged was £20 extra, not £40. What made it worse was that after we paid the extra £40, the host refused to provide an invoice or receipt. I suspect this was to evade taxes. Although Booking.com said they were willing to reimburse the extra cost during the case was happened. However, without a receipt, they couldn't do so. Therefore, I will be reporting this issue to the UK tourism authorities. One bad apple shouldn’t be allowed to ruin London’s tourism reputation.

Owners' contents are still everywhere in every part of the house. Half eaten chicken in a box left on the kitchen side the next morning from the night before. We didn't feel comfortable, although the owner was very nice, it just felt awkward. I would not say this was value for money

Unfortunately, the doorbell was broken and the host's phone was on silent. So we had to wait for about an hour in the cold until we could check in.

Felt very safe in the area.

Also, the property is close to 2 Tesco expresses, Lidl, Limehouse station, and Victoria park. This was very useful! It was very clean and well equipped with free WiFi, towels, a lock for the room door, and a homey feeling. Overall, it had great connections to public transport so it was very easy to get around. Thank you to the owner :). At No fault to the owner, there was very loud music coming from a neighbours house at 3.00am which caused me and my friend to wake up, unable to sleep. This can’t be controlled but it was a bit annoying! (This is why we didn’t rate the house 10/10. If this didn’t happen, he would definitely be a 10/10 property and it’s very good value for the money you’re paying!)
