- Cheryl (7/5): Beautiful Spacious Comfortable Apartment for a Family. Just like Home. - The location of the apartment was close to "The David" but away from noisy crowds. Plenty of wine bars, eateries and grocery stores nearby within a 10 minute walk. The bus stop is just around the corner. I chose this location to be close to my daughter's dorm, to cook my own meals and to also have easy access to the bus line. The apartment was very spacious, bright, clean and had all the amenities to cook full meals. The A/C worked great! each room had an A/C unit to keep cool during the hot summer nights. I was there in July. The unit also had a washer and dryer that came in handy during the summer months (you can get quite hot and sweaty walking around during the day). I was doing laundry at least 2 times per week. The apartment is on the first level so there is no need to drag your luggage up any stairs. The TV was a nice size smart TV. I was able to log into my media accounts and stay up to date with world and local news from my hometown, no need for cable. Many of the hotels in Italy have not updated their TV's to log into your own Netflix, Hulu or YouTube accounts, this was a plus. The spaciousness of the apartment was big enough for 6 to 8 people easily. Everything in the unit looks just like the photos. I actually stayed another 2 weeks. There was one bad situation that kept me from scoring this unit wonderful. There was a bug infestation in one of the bathrooms. This was unpleasant. There were sewer flies coming up through the pipes in one of the three bathrooms. I reported this to the management but I received no resolution to remedy the situation so I took matters into my own hands. I closed off that bathroom to the rest of the unit. I covered the drains with towels. When the problem still persisted I purchased a can of flying insect killer and a vape insect mosquito killer that plugged into the wall. Every two days I would have to spray around the bottom of the bathroom door to keep the flies from coming into the living area. That seemed to do the trick, however, I believe the management should have taken action to solve this problem themselves.
The entrance to the building was a bit dark.
The bathrooms were small with a "tiny toilet". The toilet is not suited for voluptuous rumps :/ but it gets the job done.
Some nice hooks in the bathrooms would be nice to hold your towel since there is no counter space. The positive side is that there are cubbyholes to hold things such as your shower accessories and soaps.
A quick guide to all of the appliances would be nice to have (washer/dryer, stove and oven).
The bedrooms could use a wastebasket to keep from always going into the bathroom or kitchen to throw trash away.
