• Rita (7/5): Perfect for our short stay! Great value, so long as that bathroom gets properly cleaned! - Loved the spot! Wonderful space with incredible ocean views! Mostly great, although the bathroom required a good clean. Management was notified and assured us that the issue would be resolved
• Jessica (9/5): Great place if you're an early riser - Great location, easy check in, lovely apartment. Views from the windows and balcony were stunning and it was a short 15 minute walk along the beach to get to central surfer's paradise. The construction noise in the morning was rather loud (obviously not the host's fault, but worth mentioning) and the window opposite the bed did not have a blind, so the room was filled with light from the early hours.

• Erice & Noel (9/5): I thoroughly enjoyed my stay except for the details as above. - It was on the top floor & I had a view to die for! It had a washing machine, a comfortable bed and all that I needed. The drapes were dirty and were not hung correctly and the settee was dirty surface as well.

• Thomas (2/5): Do not stay here, don’t what I did and just pay a little extra. Outdated place, facilities. The door doesn’t lock proper - The location is ok… The property lost power and then did not have power for multiple days. No air conditioning. The building is loud. Old and outdated.

• Venz (6/5): Heatwave with no air con - Location and view was fantastic. Rita was an excellent host and lovely to talk to. The old man however was extremely rude and abrupt. Was very uncomfortable during the recent heatwave with no airconditioning. Slept poorly because it was so hot. The lift was a sweatbox. You'd have sweat literally dripping off you in the extremely slow lift. I assumed it had air conditioning was otherwise I would' ve stayed elsewhere. I would However stay during winter time purely for the view and location No air conditioning. I feel I was misled

• Erika (5/5): Enjoy the view! - The View, location and the beach across the road. The room was spacious with an impressive 180-degree view, located on the 14th floor. While it was clean, it had a unique retro style that felt out of place. The bathroom's shower area had been renovated, but not very well; it seemed the water leakage had caused the floorboards to warp. Upon entering the room, a strange smell lingered in the air, and your feet would become damp from the ongoing water issue. It was disappointing. The unit had curtains, but not in the kitchen area, where the sunrise would intrude at 5:00 AM. There was no air conditioning, just a ceiling fan, and they had left a winter blanket in case of a chilly breeze. It would be better if they addressed the water problem and installed a proper curtain; otherwise, the room would continue to smell like a wet dog hiding under the bed.
• Michael (5/5): Could be a 10 but in reality it’s a 5 - Amazing view being on the top floor . Quite modern decor . Unfortunately the reception area , the lift and floor 14 hallway was extremely dated, quite scruffy and old. The apartment itself whilst on first appearance seems quite modern it was quickly apparent the decor was superficial . There was a lot of rusty metal, the shower was only warm for about 4 minutes , the ceilings of the apartment were flaking and looked like there had been a leak at some point , the main light switch flickered so could not be put on , the windows were filthy which could be cleaned by the owners to allow taking in the views. The outside furniture looked quirky but was of little use in reality . The windows also were single glazed and of little use against the noise with some permanently shut or had no handle It could be an amazing apartment with regular maintenance

• Helen (8/5): Spacious, excellent views and location in an economy apartment that is well past it's prime. - Really excellent location and very spacious. Low cost and good amenities. Oven had dirty tray left in it, and also microwave was not clean inside. Some of the curtains had missing hooks. It was run down and showed it. We were unable to get the lockbox to open to leave the keys when we checked out - this was stressful as no-one was answering the contact phone We ended up leaving the keys outside under a brick and emailing details later.

Both lounge and bedroom lights flicker so can't be used, mould on bathroom blind, peeling and water marked ceiling in kitchen, the blinds in lounge/dining space are not thermal and are half hanging off their hooks, kitchen window has no curtains or blinds which is opposite the bed so you are awake and hot and sweating as soon as the sun comes up in the morning, this room would be an oven in summer months. Don't expect the hot water to last more than 4 minutes (yes we timed it) the hot water unit is tiny. Listed as having air conditioning and a hot tub, this apartment does not have either. The host did not reply to my message about air-conditioning.

• Paula (9/5): Once inside the unit, we were thrilled by the amazing view from the 14th floor balcony. - Travelling up to Qld from VIC, and having booked the accommodation weeks beforehand, I did not check my emails along the way to see that the code to open the key box at the front door of the building had changed. Fortunately I was able to telephone the owner to advise we could not open the lock box. I was then advised of a changed code number. I then had to telephone the owner a second time to ask which floor number and room number as had not been advised these details. The stress of this arrival would have been averted if the owner had of telephoned me to advise of the code change !!

• Kathleen (1/5): Unclean, unresponsive, and frustrating overall. - None We stayed the night here, and when we arrived at the property, it had already been used and not cleaned. We had no choice but to stay since we needed a place to sleep. We tried calling the property, but they didn’t answer. Later on, they said there was a problem with their system. They didn’t offer a refund, and it’s incredibly frustrating.

• Raghu (1/5): Horrible experience - Only the view was good Had a terrible experience with the owner. When we first went, there was candle wax stain on the bed and when asked her to change it, she said she will try to get someone that day or they will come the next day. Which was ridiculous?! But fortunately Jen came and changed it. Secondly, the hot shower does not work. It only goes on for 3-5 mins max. When asked about this to the owner she said “If you are looking for long showers, this is not the place for you” The lights in the toilet went off and we had to use our phone torchlights to shower. We decided to vacate and stay elsewhere. She said she will transfer 200Aud and told us not to leave a review. However, until today no refund was transferred. The place is run down and not taken care of well. Not worth it at all!

• Esther (4/5): Disappointing - The views were great from the top floor. Ample covered parking We found the apartment to be lacking unfortunately. For example, the bathroom light didn’t work so we had to shower in the dark. Another lamp also wasn’t working. The plug sparked when I tried to plug my phone charger in. The bathroom window couldn’t be sealed shut so the door was banging all night in the wind. There was no body wash left in the bottle, it had been diluted with water. We were given 1 & a half used toilet rolls for 3 night stay. There were no chopping knives. A washing machine but no detergent. The cleanliness was not up to standard- stained cushions, dirty shelves & plates. In addition to this we messaged the host & her friend who was covering whilst the host was away- the friend never got back us and the host replied on our day of check out. If we had really needed something, this is unacceptable communication levels. Perhaps if it were only one or two of the above issues, it wouldn’t have impacted our stay but in view of all of them, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Serious improvements need to be made

• Viola (1/5): A big NO!!! - Couldn't even go inside, the place was decrepit, it stunk even from the carpark. To be fair, the apartment might have been ok but I'll never know.

• Ian (7/5): Great views but unit is tired. - Views amazing It was an unfortunate start where the room was not ready until an hour later after official check-in. I was not prepared to call the cleaner by the owner and felt that was not my job to do so. You do get what you pay for. Being inexpensive means you are paying for a unit that has had afresh slap of paint which really doesn't take away how tired the unit is and probably needs more work to it. Having said that and keeping in mind of the low cost and amazing beach front views, you get to settle in for an enjoyable time.
• Wahyu (8/5): Despite some bad experiences, I still wanna come back to this place for next vacation. - 1. Strategic location. 2. Spectacular view around 3. Feeling secured with strict limited access for public. You need to have a key to tap the main door open and use the elevator. 4. Basic needs were provided 5. Value for money (good price) 1. The front desk people are not really helpful. You deal with the one responsible of THE APARTMENT (not the building ), which is Bella who is in vacation but really easy to reach by phone. 2. Old elevator. Running so slowly. I was skeptic when I found out that my apartment is on 14th floor (which is SO great talking about spectacular view that compete the Sky Deck Observation 😃), and yeah it’s out of order on my checking out day (skinny solo traveller dragging her luggage down from 14 floor to the lobby, could you get the big picture???). I complain to the front desk, first they said they couldn’t do anything else but just call a technician to fix it. I called Bella who asked my suggestion what she might do (in these case just an understanding that I might stay longer until the elevator fixed). I just was tried to relax, don’t when but then 2 hours before my check out, it worked again! Pff 😓!

• Sarah-jane (2/5): Bad - Location This property was dirty Firstly ,Building surrounds where dirty and un kept, apartment was very limited in comfort , felt like I was in a backpackers ,,shower curtain was disgusting , there was old shampoo and products in the shower , television had a big black lines through the centre of vision , toilet was half broken and hanging on its last legs , bathroom door the same half broken -the indoor fan had dust all over it and there was no airconditioning and switch to fan was broken - if it was an elderly couple of people sensitive to heat they wouldn’t have coped - outdoor furniture on balcony wast even suitable -the toaster was just disgusting with food and filth on it ,,internet did not work - but was offered .. ? … overall this apartment was definately not worth the $300 I paid , I could of got something for that price with way more to offer . I know it’s Christmas but would have gladly spent more on something - instead of walking away feeling dirty and very disappointed with what was offered - I feel ripped off and would like some kind of retribution .

• Pb (10/5): Best in class studio apartment in the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia - This may possibly be the single best studio apartment option not just in the Gold Coast but maybe in all of Australia. Views to die for, sunny, airy, and with all the amenities and fitments you'd expect. Great location, right on the beach. Great value for money too at its price. The owners give detailed instructions to access the apartment. I wouldn't stay anywhere else on the GC.
• Amanda_xo (10/5): Exceptional - Open the door to an amazing 180 degree view!! I watched the sunset and then next day, sunrise over a couple of hours. Better then watching TV! Just mesmerising. Typical of many dated Surfers Paradise buildings in much need of repair and/or renovation. However, the location, floor level and North East facing makes up for it.
