Guest Reviews
- Edward (6/5): It was clean and spacious but quite far from everything. I probably wouldn't stay again. - The location was clean and spacious. No laundry machine available, but there was a kitchen. The location was much farther from Vancouver and the mountains than I expected. The traffic is considerable and I would have just paid a little more to be elsewhere closer to the city rather than tackle it.
There was also major renovations happening on the property during my entire stay.
- Ray (10/5): Perfect! - Property was perfect, very clean and had everything we needed for our short stay.
- Danil (6/5): Pleasant - The king bed in the master bedroom was huge, but squeaky (and it is by construction, I doubt it is possible to do something with it). The apartment was cosy and clean. We had the towels and bedding ready and waiting for us. The living room is nice. Overall good. But there were many small details that left us not completely satisfied. There definitely was AC-unit somewhere in the house, but we couldn't find the controls for that. So it was a bit cold for us most of the time. BTW we didn't see any heater in the apartment. The host asks to leave your shoes outside, where insects or animals could do whatever they want with your shoes. The kitchen was equipped, but not "ready" for cooking. Electricity scheme only allows one appliance to work at a time (kettle, toaster, microwave). If you forgot this rule - you will have to do something for the next several hours until the host would be able to reset the breaker.
The house itself is in a nice an quiet district, for the exception of a railway not too far with trains going in the night with all the bells and whistles.
The nearest cafe is 2 km away, nearest restaurant - 5-7 km away, as well as a decent grocery store. Getting to Vancouver city center or to the Northern shore is 30-40 minutes of driving at least.
We were choosing an apartment to have separate beds for our teenager kids. The description here said there's a sofa-bed, but we checked it, those are just sofas, no beds. So one of our kids was sleeping on the mattress put on the floor.
There's a wardrobe new the entrance, but there are no hangers or hooks to put your raincoat or hat on. The same about the wardrobes in the bedrooms.
The TV was installed, but still had the transportation film on it. It looked weird.
And yeah - rules and notices everywhere...
- Mike (5/5): Adequate bolt hole for the night. - Good location for the Cruise Canada depot. Very clean. Ricky was very responsive to correspondence. Very sparsely equipped. No washing machine or dryer. Beds were rock hard. Many notices instructing you not to do this that and the other which didn’t make you feel welcome.
- Aurel (9/5): Superb -
- Bill (8/5): All in all, we had a very nice stay and for the price, it was great value. - Property was extremely neat and tidy. Beds were super comfy… kitchen and living area were very nice as well. When we returned on our second evening, ready for bed, there was a loud party going on upstairs. A couple of knocks on the wall and they shut it right down… so it wasn’t a huge deal, but we were a bit uncomfortable about it.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Crystal (10/5): Great spot! - Affordable, private, comfortable We only stayed one night
