Guest Reviews
- Connolly (10/5): - Everything about the house.
- Eoin (10/5): - Beautiful house in a beautiful town. Very helpful and friendly host.
- Eriks (6/5): A charming and well-located house, but not suitable for winter or cold-weather stays due to insufficient heating and dam - The house has a very authentic Andalusian feel and a lot of character. The location is excellent, right in the heart of a beautiful and lively village, which made it easy to explore the area and feel part of local life. The house is clearly not designed for comfortable stays in cold weather. Although heaters are provided, they only warm the air right next to them and do not heat the rooms properly. The house felt quite damp, and some evenings it was cold enough that the whole family had to sit under one blanket to stay warm.
- Shirley (8/5): A true home in the heart of Canillas - We had a wonderful stay at Mikko’s house in Canillas. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The village is charming, the people were welcoming, and it was the perfect base for exploring Andalusia. Mikko also sent us great tips and clear information beforehand, which made everything even easier and more enjoyable. We especially appreciated how clean and well prepared everything was. Highly recommended! If I had to mention one small point for improvement, it would be the bathroom. Some of the mosaic tiles in the shower had a bit of mold and a few things were slightly loose. But overall, this didn’t affect our stay at all. The house was clean, well-prepared, and we truly enjoyed our time there.
- Christian (7/5): It was an authentic stay in a small village in the mountain. - I love the view from the terrace. It was an authentic stay in a small village in the mountain. The description said the apartment has a pool. That's wrong. The village has a public pool. But for the money I paid okay.
- Karina (8/5): Very good -
- Pauline (9/5): Superb -
- Karen (6/5): We didn’t spend much time in the house… - The roof terrace.
- Stephen (9/5): Spectacular village and stylish accommodation in a memorable location. Rare opportunity - JUST GO! - Village location and vibe is great.
I'm guessing that this is someone's own holiday home and they have great style.
Glad they are willing to share it.
It is a special place.
Roof terrace will be wonderful in Summer.
Great shower.
Washing machine a bonus.
Very welcoming locals. Fabulous local walks.
Would love to have a Ferrari up the hill into the village- it is a spectacular road.
OR even better a fast road bike down it.
We both missed the village life after a few days in the 5* golf resort that we moved on to. There were warnings about the steepness of the internal stairs but a few tiles were already cracked.
I suspect from recent guests moving their bags in.
There was noise in the mornings from the builders opposite - this became a funny part of our holiday because their early starts encouraged us out of the house.
A swearing Spanish builder doesn't need much translation and made us smile.
That's being picky.
I'm sure that these minor issues will be resolved because you just don't put this much love into a place and then let it deteriorate. The building work is well on and likely to be finished soon.
- Gracjana (9/5): A very charming small house :) - Honestly the photos don't really show how cute this home is. It's quite narrow, but not small or claustrophobic. There's a kitchen on the ground floor at the entry (very well equipped), a room with the washing machine near the stairs. On the main floor there are two bedrooms with separate doors connected by a narrow corridor and a small (but comfortable) dining room. The bathroom there is also very small, but surprisingly comfortable. Each bedroom has another staircase that connects to the amazing rooftop terrace. One of them also connects to a very nice living room area with a comfortable couch, chairs and a mini fridge. It's a little bit complicated, so it's hard to show on pictures. But it's perfectly comfortable for one couple or two couples comfortable with each other (because of the need to go through one bedroom to enter the living room art the top). There wasn't any major thing we didn't like, everything was great. The bathroom could use an extra bin, there just wasn't any. And - of course - there are lots of high stairs. They were surprisingly comfortable, but it is something one has to keep in mind, as going from the rooftop to the kitchen - means going three floors down ;)
