Guest Reviews
- Dave (1/5): Avoid - Nothing as it was cancelled with less than 24 hours notice.
Avoid at all cost I didn't like the fact when I tried to contact them they kept hanging up.
I was then told with less than 24 hours notice via a message there was an electrical problem and to cancel the booking and book another apartment with the host at a cost of £250.
I searched the apartment and it was available on booking .com for £146.00
This to me looks like a scam.
I would avoid at all cost.
Luckily we found somewhere else to stay.
- Michaela (1/5): Regret booking - Nothing as I didn’t get to see the property as they cancelled on the day of our trip That we got cancelled on on the day of travel
- Cathy (2/5): Very poor -
- Alexandra (5/5): Unfortunately, we couldn’t stay at this apartment due to electricity issues. - Unfortunately, we cannot note any positive points about this accommodation since we could stay here due to electricity issues. We stayed in an alternative accommodation near Croke Park by the same host. The positives about that accommodation are: modern furnishing, cleanliness, nice check-in contact person and communication. The apartment was about 30 mins by foot from the centre and had public transport options. Regarding the apartment near croke park, the negative aspects were the noisy street outside, the light in the hallway didn’t turn off at night and there were smart toilets, so the plumbing was a bit weird. The communication was a bit rocky after the first day of our stay.
- Amanda (10/5): Exceptional - Good location, clean and cosy place
- Smc123 (2/5): Poor Stay - The location was great as it was close to the city. I learned from a local shopkeeper, who has lived in the area her entire life, that this isn't the best neighborhood. Unfortunately, my experience in the apartment wasn't great either. The place was quite dirty; the carpets hadn't been vacuumed in some time, and there were crumbs on the sofa from the previous guests. The apartment was also very dusty. To make matters worse, the WiFi was not working, and there was no hot water when I tried to take a shower. Overall, I was disappointed with the cleanliness and amenities.
- Jenny (5/5): Helpful, responsive host, good location & facilities, a bit tired & grubby - needs some love! - Location excellent. Fairly central/short walk from most places and there are two decent supermarkets on your doorstep, plus plenty of restaurants/take aways etc. Good facilities in the apartment such as washing machine, laundry capsules, washing up liquid, cooking oil, kitchen roll, cooking facilities etc. Plenty of space and beds/bedding clean. Felt very safe with the number of doors you have to use the fob to get through up to the apartment and the availability of parking right underneath the apartment was really handy. Host was responsive and helpful. The TV didn't work. We think it would have done if we'd taken our own Firestick but we didn't as it didn't say this was required in the information. It is generally quite tired and outdated. Marks on the carpets, lumpy/broken sofas, the bathroom didn't feel especially clean and it was hard to control the temperature on the shower. Some more utensils in the kitchen would have helped e.g. wooden spoons for cooking and there were no tea towels. One of the windows in the living space didn't open/shut properly (it was permanently open a crack letting cold air in) and I couldn't get the window in the children's bedroom to close properly either which would have felt unsafe if they were any bigger and able to reach it. There is a funny smell in the corridors outside the apartment.
- Chris (8/5): Very good, very comfortable, close to town. I would stay there again - Great location, nice appartment Not a lot really, couple of windows didn’t close which the host informed me about, bedroom carpets could do with a decent clean but it wasn’t a major concern
- Zakhele (9/5): Superb -
- Rajat (6/5): Pleasant - Good location. Big apartment No hot water, difficulty to get keys to the apartment and parking initially.
- Alejandro (9/5): Superb -
- De (5/5): Passable - Location is good The bathroom needs a renovation
- Franklin (2/5): A real disappointment - Liked location and size of apartment. The sheets were clean. The apartment was exceptionally dirty. The windows were broken, unable to be closed which caused the appartment to be extremely cold and the heating would not come on, the only way to warqm up was to get into bed. The furniture was dated and filthy. The bathroom was dreadful and had areas of mildrew as did our bedroom. The second bedroom had very stained carpet and in a drawer was half finished crisps and a broken lipstick. The furniture spelt unpleasant. The decor was outdated . The mirror in the bathroom was above eye level. The television didnt work and neither did the wifi. The storage heaters didnt work except the one in the hall.
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Mr (1/5): Worst apartment, we have stayed in - Nothing apart from location Tv didn't work. The apartment was old and dirty . carpets very dirty no curtains on the main balcony in the living room .sofa chair broken . shower head and taps are terrible to use. it's definitely not worth it. We will never stay there again very, very disappointed, a waste of money
- Gavin (10/5): Exceptional - Underground Parking included at reasonable price
Ease of communication with host
- Séverine (5/5): Passable - The flat was well situated and spacious. There was a nice loggia from which we could see the place and have sun in the afternoon. There were a lots of shops and restaurants in the area, as well as the Jameson Distillery nearby. The equipment was basic and particularly old-fashioned. The guest had not sent any details to get into the appartment and we needed to wait a long time to be able to get inside. This was particularly annoying. The appartment was not clean at all when we entered it.
- Marek (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location 👍👍👍
- Clancy (5/5): Nice decks and good location across from famous Coblestone pub with live music. - The apartment had nice decks and a famous pub across the street. Nice sleeping space for a group. It was a bit like being on the Amazing Race but we were able to locate the key box and the door. This is the case for most air b n bs in Europe the key box is often a bit hard to locate as there are many apartment buildings with similar looking lock boxes surrounding them.
- Shane (1/5): Bad - This property never arranged to give us a key there were 4 people who had nowhere to stay a disgrace we called the number provided several times and they would not answer
- Rithik (7/5): Good -
- Chibeze (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lizette (5/5): Underwhelmed - Location I had to ask for instructions to get to the property. The wifi and tv did not work and after we had asked the host, the reply was not helpful. Dirt on the carpet behind the couches. Left over groceries from previous guests. Dirty pots in the kitchen. Some of the windows can not close at all and that results being very noisy at night.
- Amanda (6/5): It was ok - Location was good with services nearby. 15 - 20 minute walk to Temple bar/ main city area. Nice balcony area. Next door to a popular pub with music. Furnishings and decor were old and dirty, floor had not been vacuumed. No information left about services in the area or the apartment, for example location of supermarkets, public transport options and internet codes. TV did not work
- Yu (9/5): Good - as advertised. Clean. Lift is provided Hot water for shower ran out quickly
- Law (8/5): Very good - Very spacious, large apartment. Nice and clean good location When we got there at 11pm we had to retrieve a key from a keysafe on a bike stand. Scrambling on the floor trying to get the key wasn't great there must be a better system than that
- Marilyn (8/5): Weather was brilliant. Better communication would be better. - Not Having a human to meet and hand over keys. Having to find a key box in a busy car park on the floor was a silly idea. At 73 I struggled to get down to it. Difficult to find too from small photos given.
- Lynne (5/5): Passable - Property was close to Jamison and a few places. While I appreciate host accommodating parking for us; checking in was a bit challenging finding the keys in an open lock box on the square connected to a bike rack. Kitchen appeared clean however carpeting and floors very dirty. Spilled items on carpet in bunk room. I looked for a vacuum and only vacuum was a small wand that did not appear to work. Bathroom was a bit rough.
- Stephen (7/5): Good - Great location
- Josephine (6/5): Pleasant -
- Rachel (5/5): Comfortable clean pleasant stay. - View from kitchen sink,
Location was good
Comfortable beds
Clean apartment. Property could do with some small maintenance, ie picture could be hung on the walls instead on on the floor, window didn’t close in the one bedroom.(pic)
Fire alarm hanging off the ceiling (pic)
Bathroom mirror too high,
No tv channels
- Nick (9/5): Perfect spot for a city break - Excellent location, lots of bars, shops, cafes nearby. Walkable distance to city centre attractions.
- Conor (7/5): Good -
- Louise (7/5): Convenient , reasonably priced accomodation in Dublin - Large flat . Convenient although a short a walk to the Dart . Good pricing . Parking under building arranged by host when we request led parking . Needed written check in details to refer back to as video of check in was sent . Needed curtains / blinds on glass doors leading to Balcony in lounge room as Busy Street traffic noise . cold air ,people being able to see into lounge area where we were seated. Lounge was too big for the space . Suggest moving dining table to where the lounge is and visa versa as TV was too far away from lounge . Black out curtains needed in main bedroom to block out street light etc .
