• Franzi_F (3/5): Unfortunately, disappointing overall and not easily fixable in total during our stay. - The apartment is very spacious and located in a quiet area. A Mercadona supermarket as well as smaller grocery shops are just around the corner. The metro station is about a 5-minute walk away, and it’s roughly 15 minutes to the Sagrada Familia along a nice pedestrian street with plenty of shops and restaurants. Overall: The apartment has potential and includes some modernized elements, but overall the stay did not meet our expectations for the price. Location & Courtyard: The courtyard looks inviting in the photos, but in reality it is a narrow air shaft with strong cooking smells from surrounding apartments from early morning to late at night. This makes it difficult to sit outside or ventilate the bedrooms. Laundry noise can be heard late in the evening, and there are visible signs of dampness and mold from water occasionally running down from above. Bedrooms: Two of the three bedrooms face the courtyard and are much darker than shown in the pictures. Without proper blackout blinds, the artificial courtyard light shines in all night — we had to hang towels over the windows. Fresh air is also difficult due to the persistent odors. Air Flow: Knowingly there is no air conditioning and with the ongoing smell we were glad not to be there during the peak summer heat. Bathroom: The bathroom has been modernized and the shower pressure is very good, but the finishing is poor with residue left on the tiles. Ventilation relies on a very small air duct, and the toilet seat is loose and falls back every time while sitting. Kitchen: Basically equipped but worn and only superficially cleaned. One coffee machine still had old coffee grounds, the extractor hood and area under the sink were dirty, ceiling trim is missing, and a power socket is loose. The washing machine outside in the courtyard also appears poorly maintained. An open gap above the courtyard door raises concerns about pests. We therefore avoided cooking or using the kitchen much. Living Room: Spacious but very simply furnished. The sofa blanket had stains and the cushions were not freshly fluffed — cleaning overall seemed superficial. Photos vs. Reality: Several photos, especially of the courtyard, bathroom, and single bedroom and the overall cleanliness do not reflect the current condition of the apartment.
