• Julie (8/5): We’d definitely stay again for an overnighter - Loved the decor and central location We had issues getting in instructions to entry we found fine but key pad said card entry( we obviously didn’t have a room card then ) but once we were shown to touch the keypad firmly it lit up to put code in, this wasn’t obvious and we had to find someone to help us get in.
• James (8/5): This is a very nice apartment, well locacted and in a quiet side street. - Great location, within walking distance to shops and restaurents and the marina for trips to the Great Barrier Reef. etc. There was a small but nice swimming pool as well as underground free parking. Our host were very helpful and all enquiries were answered very quicly. This is a small and relatively well equipped apartment. Little storage place for clothing (one wardrobe, no drawers apart from small bedside tables). In the kitchen tea and coffee was provide as well as cleaning equipment For those staying for more than a few days it would have been nice to have some basic condiments, (salt pepper), cooking oil and kitchen toweling provided.

• Sabrina (10/5): A modern, comfortable apartment that’s perfect for exploring Port Douglas - Excellent location surrounded by bars and restaurants in Port Douglas. Also a short walk from the marina where most of the Barrier Reef tours start from Nothing to note, we had a great stay!

We will definitely come back. Nothing in particular, there is no elevator in the building but it was not a problem for us.

• susan (10/5): Lovely Apartment - Very clean, bright and nicely decorated apartment. Everything you would need included. Very comfortable bed and good strong shower. Great communication from owners and easy to use door codes. Despite the restaurant being directly under the apartment we heard no noise at all. There really wasn't anything we didn't like.

Spotlessly clean, well laid out, great patio area and everything in the kitchen that you need. Clear and friendly instructions for check-in, and help during your stay if you need it. There is parking under the building and a lovely cafe downstairs.

The location was perfect right on Macrossan Street for easy access to everything, while the apartment itself is tucked away on Grant Street, a much quieter side street. The apartment had everything we needed, was beautifully decorated, and spotlessly clean. We loved the Nespresso machine, and having free parking in the garage was a huge bonus. We also spent an hour by the pool and it was nice and quiet; the adults-only setting makes it especially peaceful and perfect for relaxing. The pool was cooled, which was a great bonus, though we ended up spending the afternoon at the beach, just a five-minute walk from the apartment. I would definitely book here again if we come back in the future. Nothing, we enjoyed stay.

• Bridget (10/5): Perfect location, perfect apartment. - This apartment was perfect and in an ideal position for everything in the harbour, just a few minutes walk from the seafront with excellent shopping & restaurants. It was very well equipped, spotlessly clean, stylish and the bed was very comfortable. We couldn't fault it. The pool looked lovely but we didn't use it as we weren't there long enough. We stayed 2 nights and I wished we could have stayed longer. Lovely! Would strongly recommend. Could not fault it.
• Matthew (8/5): Lovely retreat - Relaxed, easy check in, nice room. Comfortable bed. Couldn't work out how to turn the fan on only without the light also coming on, I don't think the remote for the fan was working.
• Serena (9/5): Great location at a great price!! - Access either through the main street or Cafe on the side street, which is the entrance we used. Instructions were very easy. Communication with the hosts were fantastic. Location is great, on the high side and quiet. Price was bang on the money. Being local to Cairns, we have stayed at several different places in Port Douglas. This would have to be my favourite so far.

• Jennifer (10/5): Paradise in Port - It was in the heart of Port Douglas Lots of eating places and entertainment that can be reached in a short walk. Parking underneath. We were very impressed when we entered the apartment. It was very inviting, lots of space and a balcony. Would stay there again. We liked everything about the place.

• Ewa (10/5): Casa Papaya is a nicely decorated, well equipped and perfectly located apartment. - The apartment is new, has a really nice interior and is well equipped. The central location in Port Douglas is perfect for morning coffee, evening walks or Great Barrier Reef trip. There is also a convenient car parking available. If I am back in Port Douglas, I would definietely book again.
• Paul (9/5): Well located and comfortable place to stay for a short break in Port Douglas. - Casa Papaya is well located to enjoy most of Port Douglas’s features including access to the centre of town, restaurants and the departure point for excursions. Without being described as opulent, the apartment was modern, clean and comfortable with good facilities. The cafe in the building was a great spot for breakfast. Needs some minor repairs to the bathroom mirror and a new comfortable bed is probably needed.

Apartment is comfortable, with a decent sized bathroom, equipped kitchen and a nice balcony. It would be great if they could add some fly screens to the balcony door and windows.

Great car park and cafe downstairs. No milk provided for tea/ coffee so had to venture out to get some first thing in morning. This was easy enough with cafe downstairs but would be more convenient for most guests to have some in fridge. Other than that minor detail it was a lovely stay and would go back again.

Right in the heart of Port Douglas, so you are everywhere within minutes, but also quite. Perfect mix! The Jacuzzi Bathtub is great after another day of adventures.
