Guest Reviews
- Stephen (8/5): I arrived a very worried and stressed man , left very relaxed and as if I could take on the world - Just so close to everything and very peaceful , didn’t hear traffic No wifi
- Corey (1/5): - Host doesn’t reply until after you’ve cancelled your booking after not providing check in details hours past check in time.
- Joraim (10/5): - One of the things that I like about the property is the nice seaside and city view from our room! I love it! Also, the room was tidy and clean! Everything was perfect. Good value for money!
- Sophie (2/5): - Apartment is in a somewhat good location (other then the beach club right next door so you hear music from 11am till 1pm Friday - Sunday. Property does have a slight beach views so that’s great. Good because it has a bed & hot water. A lot of outdated & broken equipment. Bathroom sink is blocked so it only ever so slightly drains. Toilet flush button is dodgy & comes off. The main room light is blown & one of the bed side lights is also blown so very minimal lighting in the room. The outside table is shaky so you can’t place anything on it, also has weird stains. The bed sits on 3 wheels & a biscuit tin making the mattress move while you sleep. Also there’s a window that you can see thru from the bed into the bathroom, it is blocked off but someone has peeled it. On our arrival we went out on the balcony and there was dirty jocks on the grown, so that questions the cleaning standard here.
- Viceconte (9/5): The room is fabulous. Bed is super comfortable and it has everything you need for a week or so. - Loved the room. It’s big and it has everything you need. The gym was under maintenance and it has no pool which is disappointing because it shows a pool in the description on booking.
- Garry (7/5): Was sufficient for what I required - Having a back injury and recent knee surgery I had massive trouble getting down to access the Key pass which was located just above the ground.
A setuo like a Post Office Box at chest level would be a far more acceptable way to access the Lockbox Getting luggage from the adjacent carpark was difficult and 3' trips up and down the lift were required as it is not possible to use a trolley due to not being able to get access from the Lobby directly to that car park

- Joy (3/5): - The beach and the clean room. Alot of things
- Schimanski (7/5): -
- Taira (10/5): - A lot of space, enought things to feel comfortable and beach near by :) If you staying at hot days-AC doesn't work and shower head still leaking water-but all in all everything is perfect

- Amanda (2/5): Slum - Just the location. The proximity to where I wanted to go over the weekend was spot on. I didn't like the aircon/heater not working the mold on the bathroom ceiling the fact the pool.hot tubs and gym were non existent contrary to advertisement, the room was not 100% clean the shower leaked and did not have any proper usable pressure, the toilet leaked and didn't flush properly, they wanted me to clean the rubbish out of the room when I left it was difficult to find the lock box for the key card and the final straw is they only.offered $60 compensation (which i have not heard how infill be given this yet) and a promise that all this will be fixed for future guests.
- Joel (3/5): If I had had Wi-Fi, and the other issues I had were addressed, that would’ve been OK, but overall, I am very disappointe - The location was great. And the price was good compared to actually staying at the hotel, but there were several issues with the room that were never addressed even though I asked several times for them to be addressed. I did not have Wi-Fi in the room, which was highly problematic as that is so important of course and I had planned on doing some work, which I was unable to do. I reached out to the property about this several times and nothing was ever done. There was also a broken light, the showerhead is terrible, and the patio table is broken and was not even usable. None of these things were dressed the whole time I was there, which was highly disappointing. I also reached out and asked for a discount several times and nothing was done
- Madeleine (2/5): Very poor - Location Bathroom facilities - shower was a joke. Bed was very uncomfortable and small.
- Sullivan-hill (7/5): Did the job - The location was good, close to shops and food. There was a small ocean view from the balcony which was nice, there was a couch and extra chairs aswell as a mini fridge and microwave and jug which was useful tv was also a bonus to watch. Overall because we mainly just used the room at night to sleep it did the job we obviously didn’t get house keeping ect as it was a private booking so we had to communicate through booking.com There was only 2 towels for a 3 nights stay so our towels were wet, the a/c didn’t work for us so the room was hot there was a fan but was quite drying to have on all night, the bed was smaller then expected but was just a regular bed, the club cali beach club was extremely loud the hole 3 nights we were there the music was blasting till 1-2am although that’s not at fault to the room but definitely wasn’t pleasant trying to sleep. The water pressure in the room was very bad and could be improved
- Jenny (5/5): Passable - Location Issues with air con , shower was grubby, and noise on the weekend from the club on the roof top below . Bed was a bit weird. No pool or working spas !!
- Blansa (9/5): it was great. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. - I liked the view the room was clean, relaxing balcony The whole key process was very difficult for me.
- Seth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adam (8/5): Good stay just a couple of things that are minor but could easily be fixed. Thank you but the club next door. - Been going to mantra on the view for a few years for work conference. Always feel good service there Dislike the night club beside the building. I know this is out of yours and hotels control but music was loud until 2am. Found a few things that needs to be addressed. The shower head was not really working as the water was running out.
Also the aircon unit wasn’t working. It was blowing out 26 temp air which was hot and couldn’t change the temp at all on the unit.
- Franca (4/5): Disappointing - We like the view Disappointed about no tv ,tv wasn't working
- Tracy (1/5): I would of rather slept in my car than deal with a dodgey organisation like this. - There was nothing to like about this property Damage throughout apartment
It was right next to a night club so the music plays all night you will not sleep.
The staff who handle the bookings take a damage deposit for 300 on a already damaged apartment be careful
They hold your credit card details on file and after returning my deposit retook it after leaving and denied this until i let them know i had called the bank and had statments they claimed they had not checked the property for damage but the apartment had been re let.
The hotel will not provide parking if you book this place it is a air bnb through a dodgey company airtrip not through the hotel even though its advertised on booking.com
I asked for an early check in and they wanted to charge 40 dollars pathectic.
The bed was a queen base with a old double matress so the base was exposed. The TV was cracked and did not work on arrival be careful and look at the other reviews one man got his credit card charged up to 600 dollars after leaving and they claim its the clean and damage check but its not. Beware they keep credit card details after booking and they will keep charging it.
- Durack (8/5): Very good -
- Latisha (5/5): Shower needs fixing, good otherwise - Was not given information to get into apartment, waited nearly an hour and almost had to pay for another accommodation as it was 10.30pm
- Renee (3/5): Disappointing but ok - Location was great as in it was central Although it was central it was right above a huge outdoor niteclub called Cali Beach which plays loud music from lunchtime everyday.
The check in process was absolutely terrible, a third party called Airtrip will send you a link to verify you and require you to pay a $300 bond, the link didn’t work I had to ring their call centre it took ages to get through, at first I thought it was a scam because booking.com doesn’t pre warn you this will be required, eventually I got it sorted to then be finally given the address and name of the hotel after two hours they won’t give this to you till you pay your bond. Then I had to walk to the end of the street to a convenience store and find a lock box among 50 others named A, note that there are two walls of lock boxes and it’s not the first wall it’s the one round the corner but they don’t tell you this. Then when you discover the second wall there were six boxes named A. It’s at the very bottom of the wall. The actual hotel won’t help you with anything because the apartment is owned privately so you will always need to ring the customer service number and sometimes wait times were up to 25 mins.
When I finally got to the room 2.5 hours later it was 8.30pm even though I had arrived into the Gold Coast at 4pm. I just wanted to chill. The tv screen was cracked and showed only half the programme. I messaged the customer service and still have never had a reply regarding this. The shower is a dribble of water. The bed is queen but the mattress is a double and the air con was stuck on 23deg until my friend came over the morning I was leaving and took the cover off and blew out all the dust and cleaned it and then I was actually able to turn it down to 18 deg.
So yeh as you can imagine I was less than impressed. I asked for a late check out of half an hour and got charged $40 for that. I thought they might’ve given it for free given my check in process. They did agree to let me stay till 11am.

- Anonymous (4/5): Good location, not worth the price for not being able to use shower, tv and door kept locking me out. - What I liked about the property was the view and the location of the unit. The location made it easy for us to walk to locations and not worry about transport. The property was knocked around a lot and when using the card to unlock the door multiple times it didn’t work and had to keep pressing card and jiggling handle to unlock. The other issues were the shower head wasn’t useful and pretty much only provided a small amount of pressure that wasn’t enough to actually stand underneath, another thing was the tv remote batteries were dead and couldn’t use tv. The last thing was there is a security deposit of $300 for if anything gets broken and and had to pay 7 days before stay which I did, while I was there they ended up taking another $300 out again for security deposit because the 7 days of holding the other $300 was up which ended up making me $600 out of pocket for my weekend away as the first $300 would take a couple business days to come back into my account.
- Sabrina (3/5): Average - It was a great location When we arrived there was still a towel in the bathroom from the previous people.
We told the owners and they only gave us 1 extra towel the next day. And didn’t even take the towel that had been used (lipstick stains all over it)
- Brendan (7/5): Convenient for purpose - Comfy and clean Difficult process to book, staff very rigid and inflexible
- Jessica (2/5): Would not stay there again. Find literally anywhere else to stay. - The code worked to collect the keys. The location was good. The keycard was hidden at the bottom lock box in a nearby shop (difficult to access when quite pregnant), it was also stuck and i needed shopkeeper to help with a knife. I was there 2 weeks, no cleaning or refuse collection. No clean sheets or towels provided. Paint peeling from roof and walls. The shower provided a measly dribble. Toilet seat loose. Clearly this has not been maintained. Every weekend there is a loud party going on outside the window making weekend sleep unattainable. After i returned the key as requested, I was harassed by the owner to return it, threatening to charge me for the keycard. I had numerous calls and emails despite having done what was requested of me and informing them of such. It left me extremely frustrated and I would avoid at all costs.
- Talia (7/5): It was great - Very close to everything all in easy walking distance No parking and the shower head needs urgent replacing
- Mike (3/5): Poor - Key access is difficult and needs a picture to explain where in the maze of key boxes this one is located.
Door lock needs attention.
- Phoebe (7/5): Location and room were perfect for our reasoning in visiting GoldCoast - location was perfect for our needs, could hear as people were in the hallways
- Aayushman (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jeremy (6/5): Not bad of a place, use as a last resort budget option if you can. - I liked the amount of towels and pillows provided. The door wouldn’t work a couple times. Including on the first day when I entered, customer service was very poor throughout the trip and prior to the trip. Took a long time to get back to me and half my queries weren’t answered and ignored.
- Michael (10/5): I would love to come back again sometime - I didn’t have the breakfast I walked around and ate out for breakfast. Great location I enjoyed my stay so there wasn’t anything I didn’t like
- Amrusha (10/5): Would stay again - Bed was super comfy.
It’s located at a very convenient distance from all the fun things like shopping, restaurants and the beach.
It was overall clean, had all the kitchen supplies.
Wifi also worked well for me.
At first I’d issues with superhogg: (deposit for damage, untidy etc which they refund in the end)
my card kept declining and whole process felt like a brag. But the host was very helpful and in the end it all worked out. Shower head can be changed.
- Nastajia (8/5): Very good -
- Melanie (4/5): Disappointing - Location is good, right in the heart of Surfers No spare sheets & bedding for the sofa bed
- Jeremiah (8/5): Very good -
