My child absolutely loved the rabbits—they were a huge hit! The view is breathtaking. The room was spotless, and the cleanliness was top-notch. All the amenities were provided and worked perfectly. Also, having a parking spot right by the room was very convenient." The sofa didn't have a standard duvet, only a bedspread. Also, there was way too much communication before my arrival. Most of it wasn't really necessary for me, except for the final email with the check-in instructions.

- Jamie (8/5): Beautiful location, overall a lovely place to stay. - Great location. Nice kitchen. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Lots of towels. Checked all the boxes for a nice place to stay. There were little details that could have been better. The shower is small, my tall husband had to crouch to get under the shower head. Only one portion of coffee for a three night stay. The knives were very dull. No salt/pepper of sugar packets, which are typically standard. Dead batteries in the remotes, had to swap with another remote. Nothing major, just inconvenient. And not the properties fault, but the folks staying upstairs were very noisy, kids stomping and jumping, throwing shells off the balcony…so that wasn’t very relaxing.

No paper towel, no salt, pepper, or even basic condiments. WiFi was so bad it wasn't worth using.

Absolutely beautiful private beach and shoreline. Will definitely go back. Hard to reach, sent them a few messages and never heard back. Some of the amenities were kind of minimal (one garbage bag, small amount of coffee and sugar etc.) Cleaning fee fairly high.

This condo was exceptionally clean, up to date on decor, and had everything I needed. It was cozy and warm and the bed was comfortable. Kitchen was well appointed and the view was lovely. Pillows were strange. Two were rock hard and two very soft and squishy. Mattress sagged a bit in the middle. We stayed here earlier in the year and the bed was fine then.

- Andrew (6/5): - The two level suite is very comfortable. The view is great, but it should be understood that this part of Qualicum has virtually no sand, even at low tide, so the view is on to a very stoney beach, beyond the narrow strip of sand which is located right in front of the building and is a long way back from the sea. Unfortunately, the previous guests before us did a very poor job of cleaning the pans and utensils, all of which had removable stains and morsels on them. Also, the coffee machine was still full of their last grounds. Considering the cleaning charge which is levied, it was very disappointing that the cleaner did not inspect or correct this. Our unit did not have a dishwasher, which is really an essential feature if the management is not going to ensure a proper kitchen cleansing process. It appears that leaving dishwashing to guests at pain of a $25 fine, when there is a high cleaning fee already, might encourage guests to do the absolute minimum.

- LOUISE (9/5): Lovely and beautiful beach front Heaven - Beach view and access, at Andrew’s lodge Back grass area . Rabbits for our little fur baby to chase . Has some spices like paprika and garlic powder , sea salt , sunflower oil, black paper, coffee, tea, carnation powder .. blender, King size comfortable bed and pillows. Beach towels, iron ..Quiet. Lovely sunset and sunrise view Bathroom fan was very loud . Please leave extra box of Kleenex and paper towels .

- Dana (10/5): - The location was perfect for our family. We had an ocean view and were able to walk out the patio door, and within a short walk, be at the beach. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook our breakfasts and a few suppers. The unit also came with beach towels and also provided a few laundry pods for us to do our laundry. Mischa checked on us a few times via email to see if we needed anything. It would have been nice to have a communal BBQ for cooking. However, that was a minor inconvenience.

A large group sat at the one in front of our unit until dark (all the others were empty). It didn't feel like we had our own private space to enjoy the beachfront view.

- Molly (4/5): I was very disappointed. So many of the comments talk about the great staff and I saw/heard nobody - The location is great. I have been going to this place for years. I was disappointed with a number of things. I was staying for 3 nights. I was hoping to get some coffee to make in the morning. 1 bag was given. A card is left to dial "0" if you need anything etc. I called all the first evening to see if I could et more coffee, the kettle didn't work and I want to know if I could check out at 11am instead of 10am as I am older and it takes me awhile to get going. For another 2 days I dialed "0" no response no nothing. Called True Key main phone and was given on site manager number. Phoned that for 2 days. No reply,,and then received a call at 9:50am on check out day to say I could check out at 11am. Of course I had already left I was told that the kettles were on back order held up at the boarder. It is a kettle I have seen in Superstore for 20.00.

We were a little nervous as we knew it had changed hands and the only issue was that we hadn’t received instructions by 4pm on how to enter the room. I phoned the number on the email and the person said I had to drive to another town (Parksville) to pick up keys but after being transferred to the manager he said I would receive an email shortly with further instructions. Email arrived at 4.15pm. Everything went perfectly after that. Will use again. Nothing

The set up of having a loft bedroom was very nice. The bathroom and kitchen were very clean. There could have been more amenities. There were no dish towels or washcloths in the kitchen, and there could have been additional blankets for the pullout beds.

- Aude (10/5): Perfect romantic getaway - I booked this accommodation for a getaway to celebrate my partner’s birthday. It’s January so of course the weather was cloudy but we still enjoyed the location which is ideal. The appartement offers a great view of the ocean and we were able to see some porpoises passing by. The place is very cosy, well decorated and confortable. The plus was the very large bathtub. It was perfect! On the morning of our last day 2 roofers came at 9AM to fix the roof. It was very noisy and my partner couldn’t sleep in. I contacted the owner afterwards who apologized and gave me a $50 refund for the inconvenience. A most appreciated gesture.

My only complaint didn’t have to do with the actual unit itself. Both evenings we stayed, we could hear the neighbors watching tv/playing video games at 2am, so perhaps the walls are a bit thin.

Would stay here again for sure! Thanks Svein and Mischa! One thing I would like to let people know is that we were warned the day we got there to lock up belongings at night because of recent thefts at the Shorewater. That night a paddle board was taken off the roof of my sister’s car. It’s sad to see this area we’ve loved for so many years go down hill but what do you do! We’ll still be back but thought it was worth noting.

- Katrina (9/5): Superb - Liked being close to the water. Views were amazing and very private. We Were able to see the Orcas. Not being able to use the fireplace as we could not find the remote. We were a little disappointed that we did seem to have an issue with ants. They were in the bathroom, kitchen and back door area. We did not leave food out and kept everything in the fridge to try and help deter them.
