Guest Reviews
- Mieke (10/5): Exceptional - Super! Delicious breakfast. Super friendly owner and sons! Walking distance to the pyramids
- Hugo (9/5): We felt really welcomed and taken care of! - The guest house is very well located if your intention is to stay near the pyramids. The owner Sayah and his son Mohamed took very good care of us, and helped us arrange everything in our trip in Egypt. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast, made by Sayah is very complete, diverse, and delicious, and it easily fills you up until mid afternoon! Definitely recommend! The acoustic isolation of the window could be better, but nothing some ear plugs can’t fix
- Siddarth (8/5): Very good - 1) super clean. Value for money
2) Run by a very nice and loving family.
3) very tasty breakfast
4) possible to book room facing the pedestrian ally. Like everywhere in Egypt, you can hear morning prayer in the room but given the price of the place, this is totally acceptable
- S (10/5): Great and very welcoming host. Overall great stay and beautiful experience. -
- Karen (9/5): Excellent - The owners (father and son) helped me to go to the Pyramids organizing a tour against the clock. And they were extremely kind.
The view of the Pyramids from my bedroom.
- Lizelle (7/5): Very friendly host. Puts in a lot of effort- very good breakfast. Location is next to a big road but inside it was great -
- Mohamed (9/5): "A Wonderful and Authentic Cairo Guest House Experience" - I would undoubtedly say that I had a very nice and pleasant stay at the Pyramids Road Guest House in Cairo. The host and his family members were incredibly friendly, helpful, and hospitable. The cleanliness of the place and the overall atmosphere were wonderful. It's clear that these people work hard to keep their guests satisfied.
Additionally, I organized a tour to the pyramids using their service, and it was quite nice. The owner's tips were invaluable in avoiding hidden stress and unseen inconveniences that can arise during such trips. Without hesitation, I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to experience a true and authentic guest house stay.
Lastly, the breakfast at the guest house was a delightful spread of both local and familiar flavours. Each morning, we enjoyed perfectly cooked omelet eggs, accompanied by a hearty serving of traditional Egyptian beans "foul". The fresh salad added a crisp and refreshing touch, while the falafel provided a deliciously savoury element. The assortment of cheeses, coupled with freshly baked bread, offered a comforting and satisfying start to the day.
And of course, no breakfast would be complete without the authentic Egyptian "kushari tea," a rich and aromatic beverage that perfectly complemented the meal. It was a truly delightful and memorable breakfast experience. My only suggestion would be to toss in some Egyptian sweets or desserts—because who doesn't want to start their day with a little extra happiness? I might have missed it due to the tons of positive things ; - )
- Nikolas (10/5): Warm, friendly and welcoming! - I had a great stay at pyramids road guest house. It’s run by a family all who went above and beyond to make sure I had a great time. Very hospitable and welcoming. The tour guides are fantastic, very knowledgeable and will give you space to explore for yourself if you want to. The food that was provided was excellent. Would definitely recommend!
- El (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was very good and the staff were very helpful and friendly, I do recommend for who need place near the pyramids and safe.
Overall Everything were very good. Nothing
- Shahbaz (9/5): Superb - The location The owner didn't let my brother ( Ramadan ) enter my room to spend some time together,. otherwise the owner was good
- Evangelos (9/5): Superb -
- Dmitrii (9/5): Superb - Nice place, not really far from the pyramids. Clean and cozy room. The owner is hospitable, helped us with everything, even gave us some buns which helped us not to die at long layover in airport :) Soundproof in room was not the best. We were lucky enough to stay in the day of someone's wedding and we had to sleep while listening loud music from outside
- Moustafa (1/5): Bad -
- Junaid (10/5): Exceptional - Location was good and in the price I paid, it was value for money.
Above all the the host and his entire family was really good in their hopitality and providing support in arranging a tour to Faium dessert and wadi Hitan. Also as its a family home, I was happy to be told about some rules upfront to avoid any issues during the such as alcohol not allowed in their premise There is not much to dislike.
- Sebastian (10/5): As a home: Friendly, trustworthy and very good conversation. - I am a man from Chile who came to Egypt alone. When I arrived at the airport I had a bad experience and I thought that my stay in Cairo would be bad. But I arrived at the hostel, and I was welcomed like a member of the family. They were very respectful in offering to take me to incredible places near Cairo. many of these I would not have been able to know on my own. I also had the freedom of a tour service with another company in Spanish and there was no problem with that. Every other day I took service with the hostel and I was able to ask him about all the topics and concerns about ancient Cairo, the Egyptians, culture, religion, etc. We talked a lot and they were very kind in explaining and showing me their world. I have a lot of confidence in his human quality and I recommend him for future travelers. many thanks for everything! I hope to return to Egypt with you soon.
The breakfasts were amazing !!!
Good bathroom and clean. -
- Mladen (10/5): 👍 - A perfect place with the best view of pyramids, near enough yet far away. Clean and comfortable, with many shops around. Good WiFi connection too. For me all was good, the only thing that can be of use of others is that the place is near the high traffic road.
- Moh (9/5): Superb -
- Wanders (1/5): Bad -

- Francesca (9/5): Superb - My recent stay at the 3-star homestay guesthouse was a simple and pleasant experience.
Homely Atmosphere: The guesthouse had a warm and homely atmosphere. The hosts were friendly and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. It felt like staying with friends or family. They fetched me from the aiport in the middle of the night.
Clean and Cozy Rooms: While the accommodations were basic, my room was clean and cozy. It had all the essential amenities for a comfortable stay, and the bed was comfortable enough for a good night's sleep.
Affordable: The affordability of this guesthouse is a definite plus. It's a great option for budget-conscious travelers who want a clean and safe place to rest without breaking the bank.
Local Charm: This guesthouse served and excellent local breakfast from their roof top with a view of the Giza pyramids.
Personalized Service and breakfast: One of the standout features was the personalized service. The hosts were helpful in providing local tips, arranging transportation, and ensuring my needs were met. We used the services of this guest house for the whole stay for trips and tours and our wonderful driver and guide Rahmy took us to places on locals would know and set up all our trips and tours including Nile Cruise and camels ride.
While this homestay guesthouse may not offer the luxury and amenities of a higher-rated hotel, it offers excellent value for the budget traveler. It's a good choice for those looking for a comfortable and authentic local experience without any frills. Nothing!
- Susan (9/5): Excellent location, lots of local shops nearby, great hosts! - The room and bathroom were clean. The AC worked great and they had hot water. (I didn’t have hot water in my Luxor hotel). They were very welcoming and they spoke great English. I had their WhatsApp so asking them questions or letting them know when I was arriving was easy. I didn’t love that I had to ask to get out the entrance. Usually someone was around but it’s locked both ways. Very minor inconvenience.
- Ahmed (10/5): Exceptional - Courteous and hospitable, the place was very clean and the homemade breakfast was great.
- Thomas (10/5): Fantastic stay in Giza! - We felt welcome from the moment we arrived. Sayah speaks very good French and he and his family made sure we had everything we needed. The room was very clean and tidy with good AC. We loved having breakfast with a view over the pyramids every morning. Nothing much. Just make sure you have all the information you need to find the guesthouse when you arrive as there is no sign on the street
- Hooshyar (10/5): Exceptional - The location was perfect just cost 5le to reach to Tahrir square and 10 min walk to Pyramids
Hosts were awesome and I should mention breakfast was perfect.

- Hussain (10/5): The personal attention made this value for money hotel and hotel excellent experience - Basic value for money. Family based property owner. They went beyond out of their way to make us comfortable from breakfast to transport, touring, changing of dollars. Vert close to local shops eat outs and mosques. Bed little soft but that’s personal choice.
- Julia (10/5): Exceptional - The location is near, and the hosted family are very kind and super helpful like having a family in Egypt, the room was clean, the breakfast was so good and the view of the Pyramids from the room was amazing.
