Guest Reviews
- Mairi (5/5): Tried to make this review fair. - Great location with restaurants & walking trails nearby. This 'rustic' cottage had most of things you would expect including some tea, coffee & long life milk (13 months past its best before date!!) . Beds very warm & comfortable, good heating & excellent hot water supply. Great to see kangaroos in the paddock next door. Many of the blinds didn't work, front window not cleaned for a LONG time, both clocks had flat batteries & TV available only by using data from own phone. Don't bring small children as the outside decks are a total safety hazard with no railings, rotten boards & steps to the lower sun deck fallen away in parts.
- Melissa (1/5): Place is terrible worce experience
I have have ever had to go through - I booked this accommodation with a work mate for 3 night stay after I had booked i was told there is no TV at all an that we had to hot spot there TV couldn't even watch normal TV place didn't look anything like the photos to the point I drove straight past it. The place is very old an run down bathroom door doesn't meet the frame so there is a 50ml gap so you can see someone in the shower an I am female my work mate is male so that made me feel very uncomfortable. The bathroom privacy blinds a white an are completely see through so had to shower at night with light off. Our second night stay after a bad day at work we had blown a hydrolic hose an had oil all over us,my room mate arrived home i told him we have no hot water he was going to Ararat for game of golf an dinner he had to have a cold shower i called the lady to explain we have no hot water "She said well im 2.5 hours away " I said "well thats not helping me im going to dinner in Ararat" an explain to her what happened at work I had oil all over me.She Said " well the best I can do is you will have to wait an hour for a guy who is a handy man to look at it an if you need to have a wash to boil the kettle an have a bird bath" i said "oh really " I was in shock an had no words The handy man turned up an 1.5 hours later he tried his best but couldn't fix the issue he said the lady would have to call a plumber i then had a cold shower so I could go for dinner when we came home around 10. "Every thing" the place is that bad shouldn't be available for anyone photos are nothing like the add
- Adam (9/5): - Lovely little house, clean, comfortable and had everything we wanted. Would describe it as very charming. Two little things, lack of wi-fi and the garden being a little under cared for. However, using the mobile to hot spot wasn't an issue, and if you're going to the Grampians to enjoy the back garden of your accommodation, you're probably in the wrong place.

- Dent (8/5): Quaint - Very quiet, the heating was very efficient. The bed was comfy and the shower was hot. Very few power points and the cooktop required a number of steps to turn it on .The elements were slow heating. The lights some had pull cords.
- Nathanial (6/5): -
- Loretta (5/5): Passable -
- Jack (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joanna (1/5): Not great. Felt ripped off for what we paid. - The bed was comfy Hot, no tv, no maps of parks, floor was uneven felt like we were going to fall through, bad smell in bedroom. Way way over priced.
- Kirsten (7/5): Good - Not a modern home, and outside unappealing as advertised, but location good, quiet, roomy comfortable lounge, and good kitchen, a pleasant and relaxing stay A proper door from the main bedroom to the bathroom would be a vast improvement as the current folding door that doubles as the storage cupboard door cannot be closed properly. A very minor mention, some clothes washing liquid for the washing machine would have been handy
- Jeanne (6/5): Quiet spot, bright and airy - It was an airy light filled place. I don't know if it is work in progress or just been left like it but quite muddy out the front. The back yard had been stripped of all plants, getting ready for new owners they say, to put their mark on it, but it didn't look inviting. There was a massive deck there but no seating that I saw, so never went out there. Maybe they could use some of my Revamped Director Chairs ;), :) Water pressure and heat of the shower was excellent. Plastic pot plants everywhere, uuugh. Vertical blinds in the room I uses although they provided privacy, light streamed in so I was awake very early. Shower itself was a bit too small.
- Maurice (10/5): Great stay. - Great location Bathroom needs a little update: Shower cavity is very small. Light above wash basin is a little too low. Doors need to be fixed so they can be properly closed.
- Rémy (8/5): Very good -
- Bernadette (2/5): Very poor -
- Nathanial (4/5): Disappointing -
- Alison (9/5): A very enjoyable stay. - The location and very good and the cottage very comfortable.
- Nahareen (9/5): Superb - It was a comfortable and a cosy place. Phone internet connection was terrible so could not even watch basic TV, other than that nothing major :)
- Ingo (1/5): Value for money is ridiculous. To charge $350 a night is a joke. - The beds are very uncomfortable and the property looks like it is about to be torn down. The only bathroom doesn’t have a door to one side.
- Nicholas (9/5): Superb - Comfortable and clean
- Ann-maree (8/5): It was a short stay, but we enjoyed the overall feel of the house. - Located in a perfect spot got us to explore the Grampians and continue on to the great ocean road. It was very quiet and peaceful
Beds were very comfortable.
Kitchen was extremely well equipped. The door from the first bedroom to the shared bathroom was not good, would not shut properly.
Which meant no privacy for the person staying with is in the second bedroom.
We could not get the TV to work at all.
- Philip (8/5): Very enjoyable short stay - Something a bit different. A lovely 2 bedroomed house with large lounge , large kitchen and shower room, all very clean and well presented. Enjoy the tranquil location and listen to the birds. Easy walk via the caravan park to Dunkeld . The “Sturgeon” is excellent for food and/or drinks.. The property is for sale and attention is needed to the garden areas. However still very rural and enjoyable.
- Joshua (10/5): Cosy stay and perfect after long field days thank you - Perfect location Wifi connection would have been handy
