• Megan (10/5): A wonderful stay - The location was perfect for the price. The staff was friendly, the room stayed cold. I will definitely be staying here again next time I'm in town. The only complaints I have are that there were no curtains to block early morning sunrise and did not have a fridge in my room. Other than that, everything else was great.

• Veronica (2/5): Would not recommend due to price and poor quality of stay. The location is awful. - Friendly staff Pretty disappointed. Poor location, very busy street and poor noise cancellation from windows. Rooms and entire establishment was very outdated. Bedding had stains as well as some of the towels. Ventilation was poor in the rooms as well. The outdoor area does not feel safe at night. Would not stay here again and would recommend traveler's to stay somewhere else. Unfortunately this area of Santa Monica is no longer safe regardless if it is considered beach front.

• Randy (3/5): Great staff, but careless attempt at a hotel room. - The staff was welcoming and respectful. The quality of room. It’s simple. Whoever makes decisions on how to make a room welcoming, decided to take plenty of shortcuts. The AC/Heat/Fan was not operational. The lightbulbs that worked, were the cheapest bright white lights, so it felt like a classroom. The bathroom door does not shut, so no privacy with guest. The pillows were the $4 ones you get from Walmart. Apart from that, flooring and walls are thin. The room felt like it was remodeled after the Second World War. When the most charming part of a room is opening the window to look out onto the street, there may just be a cause to make some adjustments. I would recommend whoever owns the spot, to stay a few hours in the room I was in, and ask themselves if they HONESTLY feel like it is worth $300US a night. To be fully honest on my end, I left. I went and stayed somewhere else. The room was so warm and the people above me might as well have been in the room with me. Why didn’t I complain and have room changed? Because you shouldn’t have to at a decent hotel, and who knows what room they would put me in after. That being said, the guy that checked me in was solid. And the woman working as utility clerk that held the door when I was coming in was super kind. Thank you to those two.

• Linda (9/5): Great value, location and staff made for a pleasant stay near the beach - Location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Attractive lobby and a warm, cozy feel overall. Close to good restaurants and just a block to the beach promenade I was moved to a spacious ADA room as I needed grab bars in the shower. Unfortunately, the bed and chairs were uncomfortably low for me. A tradeoff.

Staff was indifferent, common areas dirty and unkempt, sticky dirty carpets in the corridors. My window was blocked by fake greenery that was concealing a central court filled with loud mechanical equipment. Place smelled on cleaning products. Extremely bad noise transmission through walls and from corridor.

• Leigh (10/5): My stay was met with the highest expectations. - The front desk staff - particularly Dianna, were extremely helpful and accommodating. Valet was offered and always prompt. And I felt all my needs were met with a high standard. There was nothing about this property that I considered distasteful.

Beds were comfortable and clean. No fridge in room, shower curtain had black mold on it room 409. AC didn’t work only a fan or open window. Construction on the building across started at like 5am loud drilling etc. street cleaners also came early it was noisy. Water pressure was low, took a hot shower which turned cold at some point and then warm. Valet was slow. Had to wait 10 min-15 min to get my car. Very old building. No ice machine or amenities

• Britt (9/5): I loved this hotel and will definitely stay here again! - The location could not have been better! It was a short walk to the pier, to the mall, and to the Promenade. It was safe at night, too. The room was so comfortable and CLEAN. The deadbolt did not work, but we still felt safe. The tv also did not work, and even though they tried to fix it, they couldn't get it. They offered us a small credit to compensate for the inconvenience, which I though was generous.

• Rokusana (8/5): Tradeoff worth considering: a superb location versus a smaller hotel experience - You choose this hotel for its unbeatable proximity to everything. While the hotel may not be the newest and its facilities are decent rather than exceptional, they are satisfactory enough to enhance your experience. The superb location truly makes this property a worthwhile choice. You pay more here than at some better hotels, but those alternatives aren’t as conveniently located. It’s a tradeoff that everyone must consider. For me, staying at a hotel that’s adequately comfortable and allows you to walk to everything is unmatched. The hotel is situated right on the boulevard, surrounded by numerous stores and restaurants, with a shopping center directly across the street. Plus, it's just a 5-minute walk to the beach or the train station. I would have loved better amenities, but the convenience of walking to countless great cafés, restaurants, and entertainment venues is hard to beat. Everything is just 1 to 5 minutes away. The room and beds are comfortable, so the only downside is the lack of amenities relative to the price. However, you can’t overlook the fact that you get one of the best locations in Santa Monica.

• Bleichman (9/5): I'd stay there again and request a room a bit of a distance from other guests. - I liked that it was walkable to food, entertainment, coffee. I also liked promixity to the beach. I could leave the hotel and be on the boardwalk running within two minutes. The noise from other rooms was pretty loud. The floors seemed pretty dingy and not maintained. The water, when I first went to take a shower, came out brown.

• Tamara (10/5): Very enjoyable and visually beautiful - Beautiful interior design and colours. Comfortable. Great location, on Broadway and close to beach and pier. Lovely staff. Comfortable beds and shower. Generous with complimentary water bottles and coffee. We got a relatively cheaper room and we could hear party in the alley way next to the building until very late at night and then loud neighbours of the hotel room. It kept us up very late at night on Friday and Saturday. But we got a free upgrade for our last night which was much appreciated.

Wifi was included in the price, and there was wifi in the room; yet none of my devices could connect to the internet through the hotel's wifi. Staff was not helpful, they tried to convince me that my laptop and my phone are to blame. Heating was disconnected, and it took me a trip to the lobby to find out how to turn it on; the fan started, but the heating began to work about a half hour later, and it took a while to bring the 66 degrees to above 70. Bathroom sink drained very slowly.

• Alarcon (10/5): - Amazing place to stay! The staff are very friendly and helpful. When I booked, I was a bit concerned because of some bad reviews, but based on my experience, I'm not sure if it was just luck or if some people simply like to complain. The location is excellent on block from the main shopping area and two blocks from Santa Monica Beach. You can also take the hop -on hop- off bus from there, which makes navigating LA much easier. Cheesecake Factory just on block away with a lot of meal options, and right beside the hotel you'll find the best smoothies at Little Hawaii. I truly enjoyed my stay at this lovely hotel!

• leon the road (8/5): hotel ok, lokatie top. - de locatie. vlakbij de pier en een paar honderd meter van het strand. het winkelgebied en veel leuke restaurants op korte loopafstand. de service aan de telefoon was zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. een koelkast werd op verzoek bij aankomst onmiddellijk geïnstalleerd. het personeel bij de entree en bij de receptie straalde niet bepaald een warm welkom uit. een 'goedemorgen' of 'goedenavond' zat er helaas nooit in. aan het voeteneind van de bedden steekt een plank aan beide kanten zodanig uit dat het vrijwel onmogelijk om daar geen schade op te lopen aan beide scheenbenen. auw!

Llegamos temprano y nos dejaron hacer check in antes de la hora, la habitación era tal como las fotos. Llegamos temprano recomiendo para estancias en la zona de Santa Monica Es un hotel muy básico, un lobby y habitaciones, no esperes nada más
