Guest Reviews
- Shawn (10/5): Unforgettable experience in a truly unique environment with unparalleled access to white sand, the clearest turquoise wa - Casa Tinti is a very unique and special place that steals the heart. The location is exquisite. At this pricepoint, it’s incredible to open the doors of your room and walk onto the fine white sand beach into the clearest turquoise waters you’ve ever seen. The meals are very reasonably priced-ask for the “cazuela de mariscos” (seafood stew) with coconut rice, it was our favorite meal. You may be tempted to never leave Casa Tinti, but you MUST (with no exception) go on an unforgettable excursion to the lagoons and mangroves of Tintipan with Esteban, the delightful caretaker who has the nicest smile. These excursions by boat are VERY reasonably priced and often private. Snorkeling to see the exquisite colored coral formations on the mangrove roots was the highlight of my entire trip to Colombia. Esteban has an underwater case for your phone that you can use for a small fee to take photos. The night swimming tour to see the bioluminescent plankton was also a lot of fun. Just do it! Casa Tinti is someone’s home that they have generously opened to guests. You need to be a bit more proactive as a guest - ask about the tours (there isn’t a lot of info unless you ask), don’t be shy to hunt someone down when you want a cocktail. This is all part of the laissez faire, relaxed vibe of a very special corner of paradise. I absolutely plan to return to Casa Tinti, as soon as possible.
- Anthony (10/5): Highly recommended. - Food was great. They even made special meals for my vegetarian girlfriend (I requested in advance). The tours were more than worth it. Snorkeling with the phytoplankton was great and so was snorkeling in the lake during the daytime. Everyone was very kind and very helpful.

- PILAR (9/5): - Buen desayuno y variado Necesita mosquiteras
- Emily (10/5): - it was sooo amazing, the water is pristine, the whole place is beautiful, it‘s a family owned casa, they cooked delicious food three times a day. i felt like i was in heaven!!!
- Czerewin (10/5): Perfect stay with the best beach on the island - We changed hotels after one night and found this place on Booking – our only regret is that we didn’t come here right away. The owner welcomed us warmly, explained the history of the house, and made us feel truly at home. We had the whole hotel to ourselves, so the beach felt almost private. Everything was perfect: cleanliness, hospitality, and the stunning sea literally right in front of the house. The food was amazing – especially the arepas de huevo, absolutely delicious! We felt so relaxed and comfortable here. Honestly, if we ever return to this island, we will come back only to this place. We’re convinced that the best beach on the island is right in front of this house. That we didn’t come there earlier

- Tobi (10/5): Great ! - Beautiful beachfront property. Had a great time . Yes , there are private boats that dock nearby and play music between 10am-3pm ( mostly during the weekends ) but it makes the whole experience more fun . N/A
- Emil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alison (1/5): Not worth it - The tiny squashed in beach would have nice if it wasn’t for the racket made by party boats The flies, the awful noise of party boats, the balcony which was not private at all - everyone walking across it including the owner and staff all the time - we cut short our stay and left after a day
- Thierry (5/5): we were disappointed by the quality - the staff was friendly and accomadating very noisy between 11 am to 3 pm
because of the public beach right next to the hotel
- Juan (10/5): Peaceful and beautiful days in paradise! - I found the location and its surroundings spectacular The accommodation was spacious and very comfortable, including a lovely balcony with an amazing sea view. The food was delicious with a variety of local food available. Staff were welcoming and accommodating. I really enjoyed the beach area in front of the hotel and the water activities available. Gracias, Olga and company for looking after me! I hope to come back with my entire family soon!
- Anders (10/5): Exceptional - an amazing and magical little hotel. felt like home away from home. Very friendly staff and great food and drinks cooked freshly every day. we had most beautiful sea-view and the water was and beach was perfect. one of the best places we stayed on our trip.
Have 4 very friendly and beautiful dogs. we missed them the minute we left no hot water
water pressure
but was not a problem.
- Dion (10/5): Warm, friendly, beautiful and inviting. - Everything about Casa Tinti boutique hotel was fantastic and exceeded our expectations.
The host and staff were very friendly and welcoming and treated us extremely well.
The hotel is in a beatiufil location with an amazing atmosphere for dining (lunch, breakfast and dinner).
The food was excellent and accomadated my partner and her gluten allergies.
And their dogs are also friendly and occasionally joined us for swims right off the hotel door step.
Highly recommend and this place and will definitely return, next time I am back in colombia! Have nothing negative to say.
- Danilo (10/5): A stunningly beautiful place with the loveliest staff - A total gem of a place. Doña Olga and her lovely staff made us feel incredibly welcome and were always there for anything you needed or wanted. The food was delicious, fresh, hot and ready always. Beautiful waters teeming with life, thousands of tropical fish, calm waves, truly a special place
- Jenny (9/5): Superb -
- Patricio (9/5): A relaxing surreal place to come with as a couple of by yourself to escape the everyday bustle. - The seclusion, the water, the privacy, the staff, the FOOD, relaxing atmosphere. This is a place to go if you want to get away from life for a few days. Nothing really; one minor suggestion, maybe have coffee machines in the room or have a coffee station before breakfast for early risers if possible. I saw a magnificent sunrise and it would have been nice to sip coffee while watching that, But that's it. Nothing bad at all
- Katy (3/5): Beautiful location, unfortunately ruined by noisy tourist boats and disappointing hotel facilities. - The location was absolutely beautiful, outside of the hours when the boats were there. We were very unfortunate to be there at the same time as dozens of noisy tourist boats. These would pull up at 10/11am every day and leave at about 3pm. The boats made our days incredibly unpleasant - do not underestimate how loud and disruptive these are! This was combined with a lot of very rude, sometimes aggressive tourists from the boats harassing the hotel staff. We were in a ground floor room so felt we had very little privacy or peace and couldn’t relax for most of the day.
The hotel facilities are also very basic for the price we paid. This was by far the most expensive accommodation we stayed at on our trip to Colombia, and this was not reflected in the facilities or service provided. Some things to improve the room facilities would be bedside lamps, proper storage space for clothing and bags, and general additional details and decoration to make the room feel more comfortable. Our room also had a window that only had a very thin blind, which you could see through from outside at night if the lights were on. We were also expecting lots of activities to be on offer at the hotel, but the only thing offered to us was the plankton tour. It felt as though any other activity was an inconvenience to the hotel - these should be actively offered to guests on arrival rather than making us enquire about them.
- Anthony (9/5): Perfect place for an island escape - Amazing location, friendly owners, and generous with use of kayak / snorkels! Def recommend staying here and doing the night adventure to the bioluminescent lagoon Hard to complain. But keep in mind that due to the remoteness of the place, there aren’t the best food options. Casa Tinit makes up for it with delicious mango ice pops but we were in Caribbean for a week prior so we were tired of all the fried foods.
- Bruno (10/5): Exceptional -
