Guest Reviews

- Janet (9/5): Lovely relaxing place to stay - Pepa made us feel very welcome. Location near the railway station was ideal. The room was spacious and comfortable. The property has a large garden with mature trees and flowers. Breakfast is excellent, also tea and cakes in the garden in the afternoon (wish I had asked for the recipe of the Tarta de Queso) There is free wi-fi throughout the property, but as the walls are thick coverage is a bit patchy. It's good in the lounge where there is a TV (and in the garden)
- Jennifer (10/5): Great hostess and place - Great hospitality and well maintained property. Pepa, the owner, is so warm hearted, joyful and generous. She let us check in hours before check in time (we intended only to leave our backpacks) and when she learned we missed our train to visit the Cathedral Beach, she gave us a ride, and again another ride the next morning. She made a difference to our walk on the Camino. Highly recommended.
- Sally (10/5): Charming hotel - Beautiful house and garden. Comfortable beds and spacious bedroom. Very quiet and peaceful and everything spotlessly clean. Pepe is such a kind and helpful host. We highly recommend staying here. Nothing it is a beautiful property.
- Erik (10/5): Wonderful host and beautiful, curated country home feel. - The owner and host, Pepa, was a wonderful person. She was very helpful and kind and made me feel very comfortable. The garden and communal spaces are beautiful and very welcoming. She has a curated space and home that is a pleasure to spend time in. The breakfast was one of the best I had while traveling.
- Margaret (4/5): Pretty but not recommended. - It was pretty. Far away from restaurants and center of town. By train station but on other side of bus station. My son and I think we got bit by a Mediterranean brown recluse, found it in my bed. So now we are watching this to see if we need to go to doctor. We are on Camino and this was not a restful stay. Beds are cot like. Not my place to stay. We stayed at apartment 2 days prior and that was a wonderful. Pepa was nice but I would not recommend this place.
- Antonio (10/5): Exceptional -
- Da (10/5): An overnight stop whilst exploring Northern Spain by SLOW trains - Exploring the Northern Spanish coast by SLOW train (Feve), this Hotel is just ideally close to the station. The Hosts were charming and the welcome was both sincere and warm. Walking down into the town for an evening meal, we were entertained by street music and a lot of very excited locals.
- Gabriel (10/5): Spanish Gem - What a stunning historical house, an artist house. Pepe was the nicest warmest host. We were unable to speak spanish but were able to have lovely conversations through our phones, she had all the time in the world for us, making sure we had put on suncream and feeding us with homemade cakes. I will tell everyone about our beautiful experience. 😍 There was nothing I didn't like. Everywhere you looked there was something of interest or beautiful to see.
- James (10/5): ts a rustic old house with a mixture of furnishings which add to the charm but warm and comforting w - Its a rustic old house with a mixture of furnishings which add to the charm but warm and comforting with good breakfasts. Extremely helpful owner. Its on the outskirts of Ribadeo but walking distance to town centre and less than 5 minutes to the train station. Off street parking if required but you can walk around their garden in this very quite neighbourhood of town.
Overall, you felt at home.
