Guest Reviews
- STEVE (10/5): Relaxing peaceful and very enjoyable - Location was excellent Close to amenities but very quiet Water didn't drain away when showering so bath mat and floor very wet
- Linda (9/5): -
- Jenny Robin (9/5): -
- Linda (8/5): - Loved the location & the peace & quiet
- Colin (9/5): Very good - Very much liked the Decor, comfy bed, good location for us. Peaceful mostly, except for people riding dirt bikes next door.
- Paul (9/5): A beautiful, serene retreat. - Location was lovely with easy access to Middleton and Pt Elliott. Views were great and deck and garden area was a bonus. The accommodation is both modern and French inspired. The kitchen facilities were more than adequate and the bathroom clean and spacious with laundry therein. The bed was comfortable and separate from the kitchen/living/dining. Good shower and reliable water temperature. The dishwasher in the kitchen was a bonus. The tap water from the kitchen had an usual taste.
- Michala (9/5): - Great place
- Ashleigh (10/5): The property was really relaxing and peaceful, we also really liked seeing the horses and the good views. - The property was really relaxing and peaceful, we also really liked seeing the horses and the good views.
- Juliana (10/5): Relax and unwind here, highly recommended. - Complimentary bottles of wine were a nice touch. The roo and bathroom were generous in size and very well thought out with tasteful decor. The deck overlooking the paddock was lovely. Not applicable
- Catharine (10/5): Relaxing and luxurious! - Everything- location, seclusion, prettiness, quality of fit out and furnishings to name a few Nothing
- Ian (9/5): - Easy access, quiet and relaxing
- Elizabeth (9/5): Peaceful getaway - Lovely location in a rural setting. Attractive and comfortable accommodation. It was peaceful and quiet. Close to Port Elliot and a good base for exploring the area. Would have liked more communication when there was a problem - that said the issue was solved satisfactorily and it did not spoil our stay.
- Holder (7/5): - We had no hot water on the last day
- Dakota (9/5): -
- Steve (10/5): Had a wedding in Port Elliot. Great place to stay. - Great location. Peaceful, well appointed. A great place to stay.
- Steven (7/5): - V quiet atmosphere. In essence it's a superior quality cabin on a horse property out of Port Elliot. Everything was v clean. Lovely deck with views. Two mins to town. Would recommend. No contact at all from owners. Need flyspray to battle the flies.
- Kelly (10/5): Just what we needed to recharge the soul - A quiet, private cottage with just enough room for 2.
Simple and stylish furniture and everything you would need for basic meal preparation.
VERY comfortable bedding.
A beautiful setting where you could hear nothing but the birds, horses and soak up fresh air.
Easy to get to, close the plenty of activities. We were a bit disappointed that there was no milk, only a coffee pod machine and no tea. As we travel a lot, these things are quite standard and low cost value additions. Also, the towels were dirty (we think from being hung up over the towel rail, not dirty from not being washed) and so we had to wash & dry them.
The step leading to the raised bathroom is unsecured- basically a foot stool. This is a potential hazard, not appropriate for those with mobility issues and should be secured or a proper step installed. At least a photo/note in the description to alert guests.
- Gregory (8/5): A nice long weekend stay - Really nice, out of the way location. Peaceful and quiet. Nice to be near the horses and paddocks. The cabin itself is equipped with some nice touches. I would've liked a little more communication from the host. Just a bit - like a message to hope we enjoy our stay and contact number in case of any issues. Nothing much extra, but it just felt a little too disconnected. Shampoo and conditioner in the shower would be helpful and regular cooking oil/black tea bags would be great.
- Katie (9/5): Superb - The location was amazing, very peaceful. Cabin was stunning Glass door didn't have a blind. Even though there was no one around, still felt bit exposed. Would have preferred tv in lounge room but was nice of night time to snuggle up in bed
- Suzie141 (9/5): Chic cottage in rural Port Elliot - Comfortable cottage near Port Elliott. Very tastfully furnished and decorated and a good roomy bathroom. Good attention to detail loved the chandeliers and has a nice deck with bbq surrounded by grass aond overlooking the horses in the paddock beyond
- Janie (8/5): Very good -
- Margaret (8/5): Lovely stay in a perfect location - The property was in a great location. Quiet and just outside Port Elliot. The bird life was so relaxing to watch. My only question is why was there just 2 red wine glasses and 2 mugs. A couple more of each would have allowed a more efficient use of the dishwasher. Otherwise the property was well supplied.
- Chloe (9/5): Superb -
- Tony (9/5): Superb - Nice facility on the edge of town on a horse property. Quite self contained and everything was there waiting for us when we arrived, even through we did not see the owner. Very peaceful location and easy to get into town. Microwave on top of fridge was a bit difficult to use due to height.
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deborah (10/5): Extremely peaceful & accommodation was excellent -
- Helen (9/5): Feels like Europe with the sea in the distance and horses to greet us home - Every thing
- Betty (9/5): Satusfied - The quietness and remote position away from traffic noise. Room was well fitted out and had everything we needed for our stay. Nothing
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jeanette (9/5): Superb - Super cute and a quiet environment. Loved that it had all the amenities we needed… such as washing machine, dryer The shower leaked slightly into the bathroom space. The squiggly supplied helped to remedy this
- Paul (7/5): Good - No towels,
The BBQ was filthy and the place could have done with a general clean
- Mark (8/5): peaceful and relaxing -
- Caroline (9/5): We loved our stay and would recommend to friends - This is a gorgeous cottage in the country, with an easy drive to Port Elliott & Middleton. We loved the French provincial feel & clever use of space. The shower screens we’re not cleaned properly, needed a little more attention to bathroom clean
- Judy (9/5): Our stay was relaxing, comfortable and revitalising. - This cottage is located on a rural property near Port Elliot. It is self-contained and has been furnished with care to provide everything you could want. We spent two nights here, exploring the local attractions and having a tour of the Murray. The property is conveniently located to explore all the surrounding tourist spots. We loved it here.
- Jennifer (9/5): Excellent - Very clean, comfortable, quiet accommodation. Would be good to have a screen door on the entrance door,to be able to leave door open without the flies coming in.
- Zannatuj (9/5): Superb -
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional - The property was lovely we really enjoyed our stay. It was clean and very comfortable.
- Harold (8/5): An excellent stay in a property that could easily be improved. - Excellent quiet rural location, well-appointed cottage with covered deck area. We really enjoyed our stay not withstanding our comments below. This property should rate a lot higher but was let down by a number of housekeeping and maintenance issues. Dirty windows, cobwebs externally and inside, bird droppings on outside chair cover made it unusable and some inside lights not working. The step up to the bathroom was a bit crude and very uncomfortable.
- Ashleigh (10/5): Exceptional - Everything. We like how peaceful it was, all of the details like the chandelier made it special and romantic. And seeing the horses in the field was amazing.
- Noel (10/5): Fantastic views and really quiet we could have been in Tuscany - Fantastic location and facilities Nothing everything was done to an extremely high standard
- Kevin (8/5): Very good - Great location quiet and peaceful Step into bathroom could be a bit wider
- George (9/5): Very good thanks. Plenty of room, quiet, picturesque - Not applicable Either venetian blinds or curtains to cover the see through glass of the front door.
- Janine (9/5): Superb -
- Harrison (9/5): Thank you for a great stay! - Excellent property, well-maintained and in a private and secluded area. Tranquility and peace across the weekend and we enjoyed a very relaxing stay! A few spiderwebs, but otherwise very clean property and well-presented!
- Peter (7/5): Good - We liked the cleanliness and the location was good. We didn't like having just concrete on the floor. It would have been more homely with floor covering, and we didn't like not being able to watch TV from the couch.
- Catherine (9/5): Relaxing & comfortable cottage. - Lovely cottage in a quiet location but close to visit local attractions. Spacious & comfortable.
- David (9/5): Superb -
