Guest Reviews
- Jennifer (8/5): We had a lovely stay with very generous hosts. - It was great to have space for all of us and extra bathrooms were a bonus and the pool was well used. The hosts were over and above generous with supplies. Bathrooms are freezing.
- Teena (10/5): Fabulous - Lots of space, nice and flat for my Dad. Comfortable with all comforts needed. Liked everything even though we were there for a sad occasion
- Michelle (8/5): My family had a fantastic stay. We loved the atmosphere that the house gave out. We would definitely stay here if ever - The house accommodated all of us comfortably. The location was perfect. The staff were friendly and on hand immediately for any issues. The amount of activities to use was awesome (games, cards etc). NA
- Leonie (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, really lovely house On surface looked really clean but underneath needs a thorough clean
- Frazer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kim (8/5): Very good -
- Garry (9/5): House meet all our expectations, and town was excellent. - House was comfortable with everything we needed. Lock system on the front door.
- Erin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elizabeth (6/5): Unhygienic - The location, facilities and pool was very good. It wasn’t very clean and generally the place felt dirty and in need of some repair maintenance, eg leaking taps and showers, mould on the ceiling. A live cockroach jumped out of the bed when I pulled back the covers, we found ants in the kitchen from a dead insect, lots of cobwebs and spiders. We have returned back and found bites in our leg. We did complain about some of these issues, but received no compensation.
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Roseanne (8/5): we really enjoyed our stay. too cold to use the pool and bbq, but we hope to go back in summer. - door lock code. a little maintanance. Heater in our bedroom didnt work. it was freezing.
Tap in other couples room dripped. small things that can easily be fixed
- Darryl (8/5): Very good - It was in a great location walking distance to town. It was a quaint little cottage It is in need of a fair bit of repair in a fair few areas
- Jillian (9/5): Gorgeous stay in a lovely part of Tasmania - So much space, close to town, and lovely vibe.
- Kerrieb1000 (9/5): Amazing home in great spot - Beautiful old home in an excellent location. Everything had been thought of, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here
- Di (10/5): Will definitely be back. - What a great accommodation place for a group of 8 women who were in St Helens for a golf tournament. We each had our own beds and there were 3 ensuites plus another bathroom which is always a bonus when there are so many people. The house was well equipped with lots of appliances, toiletries, bbq utensils etc.
- Sally (10/5): Fabulous house - beautifully presented and well equiped. - Lovely house - clean and comfortable and plenty of space for a large family group to enjoy. Also very well fitted out with utensils and games etc . We loved it! Nothing

- Gary (9/5): Superb -
- Hannah (8/5): Great property to stay with friends, love that it’s pet friendly and looking forward to coming back in summer to enjoy t - Gorgeous property, very comfortable, the house was warmed up for us when we arrived, and the big fire place set for use later in the evening. Well equipped kitchen. Very peaceful, the property has a really nice vibe. It would have been great if there was a gate on the front fence, with it being open we weren’t able to let our pups use the front yard/grass area. But really, everything else was fab!
- Suzanne (7/5): Okay - Close to town Facilities were in need for upgrade and had mold on the tiles toilet didn’t flush properly
House was dusty carpets were not vacuumed and dirty cobwebs in rooms
- David (9/5): Up from Hobart for work. Great old house to stay in, very comfortable and user friendly. Cheers Dave -
- Leanne (6/5): 4BR house that has great potential but needs a thorough clean and money spent on it - 4BR house that suited our needs (3 couples). Kitchen was a good size with big fridge. Could walk into town. Unless cleaned thoroughly, could not recommend. Cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. The photo with our "welcome" and the bedroom window are just 2 examples. Cobwebs everywhere inside and out. BBQ dirty so didn't use. The pool filter didn't work. Nearly every vanity leaked, including at least 1 shower in the ensuite we had. The shower curtain also gets pulled in against you because of the exhaust fan, which is unpleasant. Not enough pedestal fans for each bedroom so very hot.
- Haydn (9/5): Superb -
- Angela (8/5): great, would definitely stay again - well equiped, great location needs another 3 seater lounge…heated pool would have been wonderful, maybe some history of the house also…
- Chris (9/5): Superb - A great stay, quite comfortable, albeit a bit large for 4 people. A nice touch with chokies and lollies on arrival fantastic heating. Really in close to town so was easy to get around to take in all the sites.
The site overall apparently being new to the market will undoubtedly improve with upgraded facilities as time goes on. We did have an issue with a toilet that isn't working, not filling properly room 3 which I reported, no response.
Info for the owner, the pool could be an issue as the filter lid wasn't closed and the so the filter was leaking air. We did have a wet day , the front yard was flooded with what appears to be new drainage work recently completed not working as designed. The water was reaching the house and water running underneath may need looking at. A bit expensive overall, but would stay there again.
- Rhonda (9/5): Superb -
- Jacqui (8/5): Very good -
- Whitaker (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful home , fabulous swimming pool and outdoor area, and fantastic location.
- Mark (9/5): Fantastic 2 days in St Helens and surrounds. Thoroughly enjoyable - Great house in a nice position Not much
- Anonymous (10/5): Our holiday was great and this home was the perfect place to stay - The pool was fantastic. The house was spacious and fitted out with everything you need. It was easy to find. The caretaker was a super friendly person. Just a lovely place to stay. There was nothing that we didn’t like, it was perfect
