Guest Reviews
- Lillian (3/5): I am used to a 5 star experience but I got a 3 star - The property is understaffed , cleaning is done every 3 days so that is when towels are changed yet 3star hotels clean every day. I always stay there and have been going there for the last 12 years same apartments but they need to modernise. For 700 dollars per night they can do better. It will also be great to have staff who can speak English. When they clean the rooms they do not hoover. Standards have greatly fallen and not enough staff at the concierge. Right now I give it a 3 star. Modernise the hotel it needs full refurbishment.
Recruit more staff especially English speaking regardless of Nationality.
Clean the rooms every day like other hotels do.
They should undertake a benchmarking study with other hotels so they can learn from similar and copy best practice. E.g. The Store in Oxford

- Emma (10/5): Relaxing Break in beautiful surroundings. - The size and immaculate condition of the apartment. The bed was super comfortable and the bed linen and towels were excellent. Nothing not to like
- Nathan (10/5): great location for our needs, clean tidy, great facilities and very friendly staff - Everyone was so welcoming and couldn't do enough to help, it was clean and perfect for our needs. They even decorated the table with Mumma Mia decorations as we were going to the show as part of our trip. It was such lovely touch. I think adding service charge to a self service buffet is a little cheeky.
- Sandpmom (10/5): Outstanding visit to London! - We visited our niece who was studying abroad in London over Easter and had a wonderful stay at the Marriott Executive Apartments at Canary Wharf. Great location for restaurants and shopping- we were able to get two rooms adjoining, one studio and a two bedroom for our niece’s family. Tremendous kudos and thanks to Aaron, the incredible concierge who helped with transportation and procuring Arsenal tickets! He was such a bright spot in our days! Hotel was well appointed and very clean. Close to all manner of public transportation . Highly recommend!!
- john (3/5): Hilton next time - Bar area was quite nice but it was full of idiots. Beginning to look very dated and worn, and the lifts weren’t working properly.
- Culture07131498493 (10/5): A truly memorable experience. - I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Marriott Canary Wharf, and it was an outstanding experience from beginning to end. The hotel offers a wonderful atmosphere, complemented by a high standard of service that truly enhances the overall stay.
I would especially like to extend my thanks to Miguel and Ricardo, who went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Their professionalism, attentiveness, and warm hospitality made a lasting impression — they are a real credit to the hotel.
A special mention as well for their exceptional dirty martinis, which were easily some of the best I’ve had.
I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning in the future.
- richard (10/5): Great stay - Everything Everything
- Dayfamily5 (10/5): Mother daughter ABBA trip - Mother Daughter ABBA trip -
Lovely stay great location for concert next to tube station.
Friendly staff.
Upgraded 7th floor room which was lovely and appreciated.
Gorgeous breakfast.
- Ian (10/5): -
- Jason (2/5): - I I booked for 5 people and they gave me 2 beds and there was no sofa bed. I asked for an extra bed and they told me it would be $75 extra
- JANINA SZWEDA (9/5): - Bardzo ładny widok na miasto
- Rahman (10/5): -
- Tracy (10/5): Excellent stay at Marriot hotel - The staff treated my friends and I with utmost respect. We were booked on the 12 floor which had a gorgeous view. The apartment was clean, tidy and spacious (for London standards).
We’d definitely return should we have a need in London again! Not a single thing. Everything met our expectations.

- 772shanet (10/5): Excellent hotel - We stayed at the end of august with my family, for a weekend break. The ladies on the front desk were absolutely amazing and so professional in meeting our requirements. The rooms we had were very clean and well positioned overlooking the surrounding area. We all had breakfast over the weekend and every day you had a good choice of food also the staff are amazing in serving you and offering drinks and dietary advice.the hotel is in a great area with good rail links into the city. We parked our car in the multi storey car park opposite the hotel at £24 per day
- Kevin (10/5): Excellent Hotel - The hotel was fantastic! Great location, clean and comfy place to call home!
Divya, on the front desk, went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful!
- Mona (10/5): Great stay - We booked an executive apartment with 2 bedrooms and a kitchen. Only thing missing from the kitchen was a peeler and scissors. Well kitted out incl a dishwasher, oven, fridge and microwave.
- Kavina (7/5): -
- Tehseen (4/5): - Cleanliness was not good at all. Staff is untrained and not helpful.
- dhmadm (10/5): Excellent Marriott apartments. - We enjoyed our stay, despite experiencing a disastrous day wherein the water supply to the entire property was disrupted and folks had to be moved en masse. They handled that very well, nevertheless, so one can't blame them for a black-swan event like this.
Apart from that our stay was excellent. We had a fantastic, roomy, well-appointed Apartment and found Mari at Reception warm and highly competent.
Perhaps, they need to have a Toaster in the Apartment and maybe house-keeping (even if cleaning once in 3 days) need to ensure toiletries are well-stocked.
The property is 200 m from the Elizabeth Line going straight to Heathrow and to Bond St so it is very convenient. There is a Waitrose which is a 5 minute walk in the Shopping Mall, nearby.
We would love to return. Be mindful that staying in Canary Wharf is a trade off. It is a spanking new suburb etc but it does take at least 30 minutes door to door to get to Oxford or Bond St.
We did not mind the trade-off and as frequent Marriott patrons we love the reliability and professionalism expected of the brand.
- Eddie020173 (10/5): Excellent Hotel - I was here as part of a large coach party My room (724) was very clean and well presented staff were friendly polite and welcoming the hotel is situated near to the city of london without being too close the hotel is close to the DLR tracks which could be a bit noisy during rush hour so make sure you are not on the track facing rooms I.E east side of the hotel my rom (724) was level and facing the tracks which had a level of noise as the points were outside my room also train passenger could look directly into my room if the net curtain were moved out of the way, Breakfast was excellent with plenty of options for different tastes the only thing was there was no carpark which for a large hotel a bit of a design flaw but it was docklands
- Alain (8/5): Bon endroit - Air climatisée défaillante
Aucune piscine
Oreillées plus fermes souhaitables
Le reste était parfait
- Udhay (6/5): - The hotel is not up to the standard, it’s run down with tired furniture, some of which has deteriorated and mix and match from other room types.
- Michael (10/5): - Phenomenal staff! They really took care of our family during our 8 night stay. In nearly every way they were simply amazing! We easily caught the trains nearby and had an overabundance of food and shopping choices
- omarkB4321BO (10/5): Thank you Xavier - Excellent stay, Xavier was very helpful
The hotel was very clean and the breakfast in particular was excellent.
Room was spacious and clean, polite staff and close to amenities.
Beautiful view of the wharf from our hotel room.
All in all a very pleasant experience
- Aditya (9/5): Superb -
- Rachel (8/5): Comfortable and great location - Very comfortable bed, spacious room, nice toiletries, excellent location for the O2 and other transport connections around Canary Wharf and central. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was tasty There was no coffee machine, only instant coffee, in the room - I would have expected a machine for the price and type of hotel. Breakfast was a little expensive for the style and quality of food - which was tasty, but nothing different, extra delicious or special.
- Piriye (6/5): Pleasant -
- Pino32 (6/5): When Marriott decides to be an IBIS - Pros
Apartment size was good
Nice comfy bed
Good aircon / heating
Staff friendly
Location good being near good transport links and bars and restaurants
Linen, towels of high standard
Good security
Welcome bowl of fruit and bottled water
Nice view on Canary Wharf side
Cons
Very Dated furniture
Kitchen could do with a Nespresso
Bathroom shower never could be adjusted
between freezing cold and scolding hot!
Cleaning only once every 3 days… odd as would expect towels to be changed and toilet paper replaced!
TV wasnt working (but compensated for this)
No USB plugs or European sockets.
No Bonvoy perks
No Bonvoy points for 3rd party bookings (even if booked for longer periods) - no flexibility with this
Bar staff decide to add their own tips to the bill (after being signed)
Moved my business elsewhere
Sad as an avid Marriott fan otherwise but the cons were enough to highlight penny pinching tactics ! Or shall I say penny wise pound foolish… through lost custom… !
- Daniel (9/5): Superb -
- julia13travels (8/5): Nice hotel in Canary Wharf - This is a nice hotel. The location is good if you’re planning to spend lots of time in Canary Wharf. My friend and I came to tour central London, so the location was a bit annoying as it was about 30 minutes on the tube. The hotel itself is nice, definitely a business vibe. My favorite part was definitely the lounge and breakfast - really convenient and good options!
- jessicarA4285IQ (6/5): Tired - We stayed here for 1 night and the best part was definitely the view over Canary Wharf we had from our window. Lovely big windows. The size of the apartment was definitely bigger than we were expecting so that was also a positive. Breakfast was really good and staff throughout the hotel were friendly.
The biggest downside for us was how tired the apartment looked. It looked to have not been decorated in a long time, with ugly carpets/furniture. The bathroom was quite disappointing with a very cramped shower, along with a bath covered by a dingy shower curtain. The bed was huge which was great - but this was spoiled a bit by tiny pillows. 3 pillows fit the width of the bed which meant during the night you constantly found yourself falling into the gap - I don’t think pillows the right width for the bed is a big ask? We didn’t make use of the kitchen so I cannot comment on the amenities.
Overall I don’t think we would stay again, you can definitely get more for your money somewhere else like the Novotel for example.
- Glen (10/5): Excellent staff and apartment very well appointed and clean! - Very good selection and staff very attentive. Children not being supervised by parents and touching buffet items and then putting them back!
- To (9/5): Great accommodation with great location and amazing staff, especially Charlie who was welcoming and informative - The size of the apartment was outstanding and the location was perfect for us The tv wasn’t working but assured that they was going to be mended for the next people in there
- Tom (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tom (9/5): Superb -
- Dawn (5/5): Disappointing - Convenient location. Staff did not deliver any milk for tea and coffee in room until we checked out. I asked for 5/6 times and it never arrived. Shame when it’s an expensive stay.
- Tom (9/5): Superb -
- Heather (8/5): Great night in Docklands - Great location, friendly staff. Booked an apartment for 3 and there was only 1 bed. I ended up having to pay additional £50 for Z bed which wasn’t very comfortable.
- David (6/5): - Run down - materials in room were worn
- Samantha (7/5): Good but probably wouldn’t stay again. Wasn’t a cheap stay so expect to have the room cleaned /serviced every day, - Location and suite size. We had an executive apartment but the room was not cleaned or serviced during our stay as this is only done every 3 days (we only found this out when we checked in). We only stayed for 3 nights so ran out of items and clean towels. Had to constantly request bin changes, new towels and tissues.
- Anil (10/5): Exceptional -
- G7268WQak (10/5): A lovely stay - The apartment is an absolute delight to stay at, with the scenic views and lounge sofas, as well as the space and dining area, everything was great! They left us a sweet surprise, which meant a lot, unfortunate it was prosecco as we don’t drink alcohol! Either way, they were at my door whenever we requested something via the app as well as speedy IRD service, the food will be another reason I will be back. Thank you to the team for making our stay a pleasant experience.
- Kary (10/5): - Wonderful staff! Property older but maintained mostly would not rate five star hotel but comfortable enough. Staff make up for it along with location and shopping etc.
- Ketan (6/5): Prime location with great accessibility to central London - The location was great The Apartment hotel is pretty old and needs a upgrade
- Julien (8/5): Very good -
- Holly (9/5): Superb - Aaron on your front desk / concierge is absolutely fantastic and was wonderful to my family throughout our stay from check in to check out. He was kind, courteous and particularly wonderful with our young son and made him feel very special. Thank you Aaron for your attentiveness and for going the extra mile to make our stay that much better.
Also appreciated that we were able to check in early and given a quayside view room which we had requested before check in. It's the little things like this that elevate a stay from ok to great. Only criticisms:
-no milk packets in kitchenette for tea and coffee
-basin in bathroom had rusty drain ring which would benefit from changing
-only one bathrobe for three guests
- Verney (9/5): Superb - Staff alway happy to help. Clean and always well presented. Nothing to worry about.
- ljfoody (4/5): DO NOT STAY IF YOU’RE A REWARD MEMBER! - The only reason we stayed here was in order to retain my husband’s platinum status with Marriott. As these are Marriott apartments you don’t get the rewards you would do with a stay in the hotels. It’s such a contradiction of terms, you check in and the woman’s opening line is thank you for being a loyal Marriott bonvoy member, then she leads with you know you don’t get any of your normal perks you normally do with a stay; no lounge access, no breakfast and your stay is not counted towards your points / your nights are not counted either, we then queried could we stay in the hotel as an alternative and she was not bothered in helping provide an alternative at all! The accommodation is very tired and if you stay in the 1 bed the view is deplorable you hear the fans all night + the DLR and we were on the 11th floor. There is a major trip safety issue when entering the bathroom as the tiles are an inch above the hallway level.
Do not stay here as there are far better alternatives for far less!
The only reason we stayed is we needed the microwave to sterilise our baby’s equipment and the location is very convenient from LHR, however there are far superior locations in London and far better cheaper options to stay that are far more luxurious/ competitively priced.
- Hastings1980 (10/5): Fabulous - We booked a family room in the hotel but got moved to these apartments, which was a fabulous surprise and very happily received. Beds were amazingly comfortable, bathrooms clean and well equipped and it was silent, we couldn't hear a thing outside and slept really well.
Staff were all lovely and helpful, when they asked why we were visiting and I explained it was my daughters birthday and we were going to see Abba they delivered some cupcakes to the room which was a kind gesture.
Breakfast was fantastic it was a brilliant experience.
Perfect location for Abba as you can jump on the DLR which is about a 30 second walk away, go direct to Pudding Mill Lane in around 8 minutes.
Would absolutely recommend this place 👌
- Andrew (8/5): Comfortable and great value - Executive apartments offered great space, with separate lounge/ kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and hallway. For the money we will definitely return. Great location for concerts or events at The O2 The apartments were slightly out dated
- Oksanen (9/5): Superb - Location was great. Breakfast good, especially omelette chef was great. Rooms were big and comfy. Gym and sauna were not operational. One room was on the corner where the noice from train track was audible and bothering throughout the night
- Claudia (10/5): - Fantastic location, great accomodation
- O9357JKhassanz (10/5): Excellent - Excellent service room food all very good special thank to shilpa samksha Yusuf. They helps a lot very frindly. Very much comfatable stay. Location was good. Comfatable to stay with fmly also. Thank you everyone. Smooth check in check out very helpful. Thank. You
- Jo (10/5): Excellent stay - would recommend - Amazing friendly welcome. Well equipped apartment. Loved having 2 bathrooms. Excellent breakfast (paid extra but worth it) Nothing
- Houriye (9/5): Would stay there again, if you don’t know the area it wasn’t well signed up. Good location though - Good location, clean and well facilitated with very friendly staff Reception was in an odd location.
Toilets didn’t flush well.
Slow book in and checking out
- Amadou (8/5): Enjoyed it -
- neilmD1168ZY (6/5): Average - Lovely hotel in perfect location. Just a shame about the staff as it was almost like they were reading a script no personal interaction with us just bland atmosphere and dynamic. The hotel was clean and food was average but honestly staff need to be more upbeat
- rkerr30 (8/5): Great hotel in a great location - Great hotel, in a nice central location in Canary Wharf. Nice room size (exec suite) and big bed! Sometimes hotel rooms are tiny but this was plenty of space for the two of us. Standard check out time is midday which is later than most hotels and a huge plus! Lovely service at the Gin and Tea bar within the hotel too. Would stay again.
- dipak121 (10/5): Perfect Appartment for families, a bit away from the real action, but well connected ! - The first thing is the location. Even though it’s a bit far from the Heathrow airport, approx 45 minutes away but the area,I.e.Canary Wharf is ideal for both- business executive as well as family fun & convenience.
The Marriott property is perfectly managed by the staff and amenities are well maintained. However vegetation food options is very limited and a concern if you do not not want to use the well arranged kitchen. Otherwise a great stay
- michellemU6172SL (4/5): Poor - We stayed here for a long weekend the food and room were fantastic but the staff were little to desire no customer service more interested in being in there phones some were quite rude ruined our whole experience
- Namz. (10/5): Exceptional -
- 79tsn (10/5): Amazing Hotel - Amazing customer service and the breakfast buffet was delicious wide array of food even a chef made omelette section all for a reasonable price staff there were very hospitable and will come here again. This is right next to Canary Wharf station and shopping mall so perfect area
- Sara-jane (8/5): Very good - the suite was very lovely, and we had a great view my business emails were hacked whilst staying at the hotel.
it has caused great inconvenience to myself as emails were being sent impersonating myself to every single person i have ever emailed and a lot of recipients have also been hacked following these bogus emails.
Please increase your wifi security to guests.
- Darren (2/5): Not Really Five Stars - I have stayed in this hotel many times over the years and I have to say I am finally fed up. This hotel sells itself as a 5 star hotel. It isn’t. It is dated and in urgent need of renovation. I stayed in one of the apartments on the 11th floor with my family. There is nothing special about this hotel and I would actually say it is closer to a 3 start hotel. The lobby is impressive, but that is it.
- katie23Wakefield (2/5): Overall underwhelmed, very dated and not welcoming for a loyal Marriott brand business traveler. Wont stay again. - After travelling for 16 hours came to the room with no water beyond that from the tap and no milk so couldn’t even make a drink. No room service available either. It’s a good space but the bathroom light isn’t situated well being behind the bathroom door. However it is very dated furnishing and felt like I was in a 1990s living room. Not what I expected for. 5 star hotel for business. I have stayed in the adjoining Marriott hotel c50 nights this year and the change isn’t better. Also no access to the lounge as a titanium member and further only receive one night credit for 3 nights stay . Not worth it and won’t stay again.
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gnanasekar (8/5): Very good -
- chan10836 (4/5): Do not stay unless you can deal with mold - Absolutely dreadful. The Executive apartments are in desperate need of renovation and refurbishment. For those of us who live in clean, remodeled, homes, it is a disappointment.
There was mold all over the bathroom, the crevices of the apartment were caked with dirt, the refrigerator stunk and was haphazardly schlepped into the corner area, it was just so awful. To have spent so much money and stay somewhere for 8 days being absolutely grossed out, was just a terrible experience. Also like to add that on night 1, when I explained the conditions to the Manager Mel; he replied “well it is what it is”. Another manager Hassan helped us towards the end of the stay but at that point we were already leaving.
This hotel looks lovely on the outside and has a great Location but you couldn’t pay me to stay there again.
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- John (8/5): Very good -
- 385sallyv (10/5): Girls night out in Canary Wharf, apartment with fabulous view! - Overnight stay with the girls. Friendly staff who offered us complimentary bottled water on arrival and allowed us to store our bags till check in. Great coffee from the machine at reception which we were grateful of. The apartment was lovely, clean modern with all necessities, just bring milk! We were on the 12th floor with fabulous views! Only downside was there wasn’t a full length mirror with 5 girls getting ready for a night out! Picked this hotel due to the location suiting us, definitely would stay here again if going out in Canary Wharf.
- Charles (7/5): Good -
- Castraveler916 (8/5): Two couples who stayed for a week. - Went to London with another couple for a week and stayed in a two bedroom/two bath unit. It was an affordable, convenient, and nice alternative to book this as opposed to two separate hotel rooms. As others have already said, it is very close to two Underground stations (Elizabeth and Jubilee lines) and the Dockside Light Railway (DLR). The staff were nice. The rooms were clean and spacious. Bedrooms and bathrooms were located at opposite sides of the unit to allow privacy with a kitchen and living room in between. The hotel is well insulated and dead quiet to outside noise, even though DLR trains run right next to the location. If you stay there, know that it will take anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes to get to the major tourist locations (Westminster Abbey, etc). There are two grocery stores (M&S Foods and Whiterose) in the Canary Wharf retail area if you want to cook your own food during your stay. There also includes many stores and eating options in the same area.
The only reason I did not give it a 5 star rating is due to minor issues. First one was the hair dryer that was provided. It had a very weak air flow, even on a high setting. Although the kitchen included a dishwasher, there was no detergent for the machine provided. Seems a bit much to expect guests to buy a whole package of detergent at a store when they will only use it a couple of times during a visit. While the kitchen did have a pot and some frying pans to cook with, there was no spatula or tongs to cook with (ladle, large spoon and a couple of other kitchen utensils were available along with pans for the oven). Also, no napkins or paper towels were provided. There was a microwave and an oven, but being from America, we weren’t able to figure out how to use the European style oven. While it was nice to have laundry facilities available at no cost, the machines don’t have much capacity compared to laundry machines in the US, but maybe that is just a European thing. Rooms were serviced once every three days and no free breakfast/snacks for Bonvoy members. Overall, I would stay there again and do recommend it.
- Saad (1/5): disgusting! - Worst stay and service ever. I ordered some washing up liquid and the staff walked into my apartment AND opened the door to my bedroom without knocking!! we left early given the disgusting and disrespectful behaviour. They failed to respond adequately!
- Louize (9/5): Great place, friendly and efficient staff - Great staff who were incredibly friendly and efficient. There was an issue with our room that was dealt with quickly and efficiently and out stag was fabulous. nothing
- Richard (6/5): Average - not applicable. No breakfast taken The booking in was poor. Started booking with first person at reception who couldn't find the booking, Her computer 'went' down so was told to go to another receptionist but had to start at the back of the queue again.
- Angela (8/5): Spacious, good location. - Spacious, very good location as its right next to the tube /DLR stations with easy access to shopping, etc. The apartment was actually bigger than I pictured - slightly dated decor, but everything was working well. No complaints, except that I wish there was a full length mirror in the room. Delighted that the Manager emailed us to touch base before we arrived. Operations staff had a minor dose of arrogance in them which I've never experienced before at Marriott Hotels. There was also a hold made on my card which wad not something I'd experienced before in other Marriotts.
- J3372QQjosephr (10/5): Amazing stay amazing place - What a amazing stay all the staff was friendly the food and service was amazing.
Great lactation from the second I walked in it was great service
I will definitely be back again Karen Amelia Peter naveen made sure everything was perfect for me over my stay the breakfast was amazing lovely views.
I can’t wait for my next stay!
- irishbohemian (10/5): The Executive Apartments here are brilliant. Great hotel, highly recommend it - I stayed for 3 weeks at one of the Executive Apartments in February-March 2023 on the 10th floor and I was really delighted with my stay here. This hotel is a curious combination of (1) hotel, (2) short-term apartments, and (3) long-term apartments -- all within the same building. Somehow, that combination actually works really well here. Floors 1 to 8 are for hotel guests. Floors 9 to 12 are the Executive Apartments -- basically apartments (including fully equipped kitchen) or someone staying a few days to a few weeks. Floors 13 to 32 are the long-term rental apartments. The great thing about the Executive Apartments is that the rooms are among the largest -- on a price to size basis -- which I have ever seen in any London hotel. If you've been a frequent traveller to London over the years like myself, you know how difficult it is to find a room with a decent size (without paying a fortune). So I was very pleasantly surprised to find myself in such a spacious room. The Executive Apartments have access to all the same benefits as the other hotel guests (in-room dining, gym, etc.). Superb view from my Executive Apartment on the southeast corner. Even though I was directly above the DLR tracks, the room was silent as the windows are so well-insulated. Usually I find London hotel rooms freezing cold in February, but that wasn't a problem whatsoever as the heating system worked perfectly and (unlike at so many other hotels) the thermostat is actually easy to use. The room quality was outstanding and made for a very comfortable stay, including all amenities with its own kitchen for cooking meals at home including oven/dishwasher/microwave/refrigerator, iron/board for ironing my clothes, even free laundry facilities down the hall (which starts to come in handy if you're staying more than a week at the hotel like I did). Good sized gym for morning workouts, and a business centre for printing documents. Also appreciated the 7th floor executive lounge for a business meeting with tea and snacks and a great sunset view. The restaurant in the hotel ("Manhattan Grill") has very good food, with impeccable service from friendly Andrea. Lobby bar has tasty snacks and cocktails with good vibes. I used in-room dining on several nights: the quality and service was excellent. If you are doing any kind of business in Canary Wharf, you can't have a more convenient hotel than this place. It was so nice waking up and strolling in just minutes to meetings. Also, with the Elizabeth Line now completed, this hotel was very convenient for accessing the rest of London: the Canary Wharf station ("Crossrail Place") is just a 3 minute walk from the hotel, and I was consistently able to get into the centre every time in about 20 minutes (including time waiting for the train). I want to especially thank Viktorija, Ishrat, Santosh and Ibrahim at the front desk for their great help with various issues and needs I had during my stay. I highly recommend this hotel and I am personally looking forward very much to my next stay here.
- Clodagh (7/5): Good - Great location. Spacious apartment with comfortable beds. Overall, it was a good stay, but a few annoying things we found that would be easily rectified. There were too few cups and glasses for the number of people it accommodates. The sofa also needs recovering/repairing. No plug in the sink is ok, but a washing up bowl would be a good compromise. Returned back on a sat evening at 11.30pm, I expected to be able to get a drink, but the bar was closed. It was a bit disappointing for a Saturday night closed before 11.30pm even though they advertised the bar open until midnight. There was no offer to buy a drink and take up to the room either just a flat "bar closed" from the staff.
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- SmartTravellerAsia (10/5): Very good business hotel. Excellent staff. - Good business hotel especially if meetings in Canary Warf, Excel or on the Elisabeth/Jubilee line
Pros
Very good front office staff - Mr Walid in particular was excellent. Some of the best Mariott/BonVoy service i have seen.
Very good executive lounge - descent food and the ladies doing the service are excellent. They really take customer service seriously and it makes for a great wow experience.
Good steakhouse restaurant - although would be good to have more healthy dishes (eg different types grilled vegetables, non fried side dishes)
Very good breakfast buffet
Next to tube stations so very well located
Easy to come with tube from Heathrow - it’s a 1 1/2 hour with no traffic ride by taxi but 1 hour by tube. Highly recommend taking the tube.
Cons/areas for improvement
- I had serious internet speed issues - once I complained they try to fix though across the hotel
- my phone and tv was not working but to their credit they tried to fix after
- elysia (8/5): - Very nice, spacious and comfortable room. They did have an issue with hot water but out of their control.
Close to the new Elizabeth line which was very convenient.
- Jackie (9/5): Superb - excellent location, very clean and cosy, fabulous staff, very reasonably priced, speedy check in, —-
- Julia (8/5): Very good -
- Stephen (6/5): Pleasant - location room wasn’t ready on arrival
- Simon (9/5): A great apartment for a stay in Canary Wharf - very well appointed, big and spacious with lots of facilities nothing
- John (8/5): Very good unless you want to eat or drink after 9 - Hotel is well located in Canary Wharf Close to shops and restaurants. Hotel was clean and room was big with kitchen area and with friendly staff. But no food available in the hotel after 9:30pm. no room service, No mini bar, no shop in hotel. There was tea and coffee in room but no milk if any type.
- Shawn (8/5): 2nd Class Guest Services - The front desk staff was friendly, but the benefits of prepaying vs. booking direct via Hotels.com are evident. As a Marriott rewards member I did not receive the increased level of service and hospitality I am accustomed to receiving.
- Keith (10/5): - Great service, apartment was very clean additional small bed for a young child was easily accommodated.
- Darren (10/5): Great family choice - For a family trip to London this was a great choice. Good service and room was very spacious with great views. A bit tired in decor but still very functional and we would stay again. Clean and ideal for 5 with a spare bed. We are fussy but this is recommended
- Sukhjinder (8/5): - Great
- Kim (8/5): Nice sized apartment - Nice size 2 bedroom apartment for a family or 2 couples. Beds very comfortable. Rooms need updating but overall nice stay. Close to Canary Wharf.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Really loved this hotels central location. Every major restaurant is within walking distance. Some less the 2 mins walk. Beautiful relaxing location. Great for business or a relaxing weekend. The staff were super friendly and attentive to our needs.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice family break - We stayed in two room apartments which was perfect size for us a family.
Overall we enjoyed our stay here although we found the rooms could be cleaner. Considering current times it was very important to us to have clean rooms, we bought our own wipes to be extra clean. When we cleaned the chairs and tables we found dirt on the wipes, this was done as soon as we arrived in the room.
It wasn’t a massive deal as we were always going to take extra cleaning precautions and maybe the room was not occupied for a while hence the dirt.
Staff were polite, breakfast was good. Nice eating places around the local area too.
- Harvinder (10/5): - It was wonderful thank you so much
- NM (2/5): - I’ve been a Marriott club owner for more than 18 years , I have never had such bad experience at any other Marriott we stayed at.
First , room was not ready when we arrived at 6 PM !! exhausted after a long flight from Los Angeles. Staff has been very slow to respond to any requests. We are accommodated into a small room until ours is ready. We were then moved to the room at night finally being able to get some sleep. Upon walking into the room I saw what looked like a dead fly on the nightstand next to our bed, I ignored it since we were dead tired. On Christmas eve, I start noticing many more of these bugs (flies) around the room and called the front desk who sends the security and said ok we will move you tomorrow since it is Christmas Eve. We were disgusted and upset and it totally ruined our vacation. The manager second morning contacted us and he offered to dry clean our clothes and bags, I agreed however he said because of the holidays we have to do it on two stages, I reluctantly agreed. However, this manager left on vacation and came another lady who tried to make us pay for the 2nd load of dry-cleaning service. I was outraged, however she then agreed to have the dry cleaning done. At the end of the stay they offered no apology for ruining our vacation. I will never be returning to this place and I’m writing to you here to investigate what happened.
- Neil (8/5): Disappointed - With such a late check-in time of 3.00pm it was incredibly disappointing to not have a room until around 4:30!
Perhaps that why the room was not overly clean. In particular the bathroom with long black hairs on the floor.
