Guest Reviews
- Petrut (5/5): Passable - There are good and bad factors about this property and if it’s really worth the money overall. It’s nice, location is great and actually close to a lot of the main landmarks and being only around less than 15 minutes away from the Rialto Bridge. However, I would say that is overall the only positive aspect for this property. The check-in was definitely disappointing and quite stressful, having to call multiple times the agency since we had to pay city tax however, it took one person out of six others in order to actually get it sorted when it wasn’t our problem that they provided us with a link that makes us make a transaction of the whole payment of well over 600 euros. The house wasn’t the cleanest and the kitchen was dirty, and the sofa bed was actually uncomfortable and looking by it, I don’t think they really actually take care of the sofa bed or even clean the part of it where you sleep which really threw me off. The shower is really slippery and not properly cleaned as well which again was disappointing. Overall, it was a 50/50 experience and more negatives than positives. Personally, for that amount of money, I would’ve preferred to go somewhere else with better facilities.
- Nicola (3/5): Worst check in experience ever - The location is very good but we had the worst check-in ever: a mix of information not provided, or provided wrong. They use multiple communication channels, managed by different people, adding confusion to confusion. The apartment needs maintenance: 30 years old washing machine not working properly, dishwasher not working, TV remote not working, kitchen hood not working, some light bulbs not working, and toilet's faucet aerators to be cleaned. In the kitchen we found a electricity socket left open with exposed wires.
Finally, we were provided small, paper thin towels. Cheap and useless.
- Elena (7/5): It was the most nervous check-in in my life. - The apartment is not new, but spacious, beautiful and with a special atmosphere of a historical building. It is located not very far from the train station (15 minutes on foot). It is equipped with everything necessary for life. Despite the spectacular apartment, the impressions were not good.
1. It was the most nervous check-in in my life. On the eve of arrival, we were sent a registration form to fill out (not the simplest form, but we are already used to it. Be ready to take pictures of your passport inside it and take selfies). At the end of the registration process, the bill had to be paid. To our surprise, the invoice was issued for the full amount, although we paid through booking.com everything except the city tax. We wrote to the owner 4 times during the day, but they never answered us. As a result, after a phone call (they do not use WhatsApp or other messengers), they sent us a correct invoice after another 2 hours. And only after that (and right up to the time of arrival, although we asked if possible to let us in an hour or two earlier if the apartment is ready) We have received instructions on how to get the key. That is, until the last moment, we were not sure that, despite the almost full payment, we would be able to settle.
2. There are a lot of dishes (frying pans, knives), but almost all of them are too old to use.
3. they left one roll of toilet paper for 4 days, but that's a small thing.
- 1234 (9/5): Spacious apartment - Location was excellent and a good supermarket close by with lots of fresh food and vegetables.
Very comfortable and spacious for 2 couples,
Big kitchen
I recommend staying here I felt like the rules were telling me off before I got started but i understand some guests need it made very clear. But with expectations of your guests you need to make sure you have things working for the guest. Fan , tv, cracked toilet seat, more light bulbs working
These little things did not impact our stay, it was very comfortable, I liked that I could close the door to the kitchen and not wake the others. Quite spacious
- Nadiia (6/5): I really need air conditioning and more careful cleaning. - good place, nice apartment. no air conditioning in August at +30 is very catastrophic. The fan did not work, it was very hot at night with the windows closed, and very noisy with the window open, these were 2 painful nights. The sleeping places were very old, creaky, there was a dirty sheet with blood on the bed in the bedroom.
- Jeffrey (5/5): I think it'd be a decent stay in the winter but in the summer it is sweltering. - The location was fairly good, not too noisy but also not too far from the city center and food. It also had some nice decor and made us feel very much in Italy. It was extremely hot and stuff even with all the windows open. A single fan was provided which also wasn't very powerful and. The bed is decent but the sofa bed was not very comfortable.
- Aida (5/5): Very far from center - No AC or fan not enough on this very hot weather. Only 1 fan for 4 people.
- Sarah (7/5): Good - Very helpful with helping us get in the apartment! Great location, next to a cafe and a bakery! Also San Toma vaparetto station very near which was nice! No air so we had to leave the windows open. The first night I got 17 mosquito bites on my face, which you can imagine was not pleasant! Window screens would be a plus and even a fan or two would go a long way.
- Marziyeh (7/5): It was a good experience but can get better. - Nice and cozy place. It’s clean and the decoration is exceptional. Good location. Veryyyy annoying check-in process. Make sure you have good internet access and plenty of free time before your arrival at the property for an online check-in.
- Amin (9/5): Superb - Would I stay there? Yes! It's a great place inside city but it's not a super crowded neighborhood. The place is clean, prepared with proper equipment. You feel like home there. My only suggestion is to make the check in easier. We got an email at 11 am the day we wanted to check in saying we have to upload a bunch of documents. And if you don't have your laptop and internet connection, it would be a bumpy start. We tried to upload the documents when we were in the train but somehow because of technical issues it didn't work out. Long story short we and the property, which its staff was friendly, went through a 30 mins check in process on the phone and at the end it worked.
- Alessandro (8/5): Long weekend in Venice - The location is superb, and the building has its.charm.
The flat is in good condition apart from a few things that might need repair.
Pretty spacious and clean it's a good choice for a weekend in Venice.
The help centre of casa da suite is very responsive and helpful. The flat was in good condition but few things saw better times. The kitchen is big and fully working but was missing a few things like salt oil and dishwasher tabs.
The second bed is a sofabed and it's not super comfy.
The booking process is a bit convoluted and happens on an external website.
They took €100 deposit more than two weeks ago and it hasn't been reversed yet.
