Kirsten (10/5): - We had an amazing experience! The location was fantastic, the little farm animals were so cute, the bed was the best hotel bed we had ever slept in, the overall styling of the train was perfect and it was incredibly clean. Nothing, it was an amazing stay!

Lovely linen and towels and decorations that were classy and luxe. Loved the concept and a great location. The welcome bottle of wine, coffee machine with pods, beautiful decor and friendly communication with Ash and Kirsty were all top notch. We, 5 ladies in our 50’s, loved our stay at The Station. We also loved all the animals! Very cute! The two compartments with single beds were really tiny. Really only suited to kids I feel. Two adults sharing would be eye to eye about 25cm apart and could not stand at the same time. Also there’s zero space for clothes/luggage. One of our party of 5 chose to sleep on the lounge rather than in the twin compartments-too claustrophobic. Perfect for kids though. This was the only negative though.
John (10/5): Unique railway carriage stay in heart of Hunter Valley - Amazing railway carriage conversion into luxury accommodation. Waking up to the kangaroos outside our window was an added bonus. We stayed in The Franklin which could not have been more comfortable with an extremely well equipped kitchen. Nothing.
Katie (10/5): - We had an amazing stay here. The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure everything was smooth and comfortable. We had booked a tour on the day we arrived, and they very kindly gave us a lift from the accommodation, which we really appreciated. The accommodation itself was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. You can tell a lot of thought and care has gone into the space and its setup. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again and would highly recommend it to others.

Sheridan (9/5): Nice alternative to the bigger hotel groups - Loved my little caboose. It was close to the wedding I went to and different from all the suggested hotels that I have stayed at before. I couldn’t work out how to put heating on and it got down to 9 degrees. I am sure it was me not them !
Hana (9/5): Would recommend to anyone wanting an unique experience in the Hunter Valley. - Stunning location and accomodation. Truly a magical experience and a testament to human ingenuity! My only complaint was that there was some mouse droppings on the floor in the morning. It is the country, so things like this are expected.

The train was perfectly appointed, decorated and located for our girls trip to the Hunter. Our host Ash was so accommodating and made us feel right at home.

The “Penney” was beautifully appointed and equipped with everything we needed. We also loved the convenient location. The outside courtyard was basic and didnt reflect the decor and comfort of the interior of the cabin.

Buela (8/5): Overall, we had an amazing stay and really appreciated the local ingredients and the quiet, relaxing atmosphere. Highly - We had a wonderful stay and truly loved the peaceful surroundings and lovely animals. Everything was almost too perfect, and we can’t wait to return with family and friends to try the bigger trains! Just a few minor suggestions: the kitchen and shower faucets seem to be leaking, the kitchen faucet placement made dishwashing a bit splashy, and we weren’t able to adjust the air conditioner temperature as the remote didn’t seem to work properly. It would also be great if the kitchen windows could be opened for better ventilation while cooking.

Hui (9/5): Unique accommodation experience, great location, happy stay! - It's a unique experience, property is clean and nicely presented, kitchen and lounge is spacious, bathrooms are in good condition. Property is fully air-conditioned. Location is excellent, close to wineries, garden and major attractions. Host Ash is very nice, she replied enquiries very quickly. Room is relevantly small as the room was converted by a train carriage, we knew this before we come, so this did not brother us. The only thing we did not like was the bathroom did not have ventilation at all, no exhaust fan and windows cannot be opened.

The restoration of the carriages are admirable, with original details and modern amenities. Very well done! Made for a memorable stay for my family! All other guests were envious of our adorable accommodation in the converted trains. The trains had everything and more as far as facilities with beautiful linen as well as very high level of cleanliness making it a great treat with the feel of home away from home. We are actually planning a second stay so Well done to The Station !! N/A

Katharine (9/5): Unique experience in an historic, converted rail carriage - Such a unique experience staying in a beautifully converted historic railway carriage. Our carriage had 2 bedrooms which allowed us to spread out a little more. Due to the wet weather we were unable to make use of the lovely little outdoor deck area which looked very inviting. The kitchenette had everything we needed for a short stay. Ash was very helpful and responsive with suggestions for places to eat, including connecting us with a driver to take us on some winery tours! Perhaps a small welcome treat (cheese and crackers? or wine? or chocolates?) would have been a nice little welcome touch. Some general information in the carriage about things to see and do in the area would also have been helpful.

Lucy (10/5): - The carriage accommodation has so much character and charm with elements of luxury (beautiful soaps and linen!). It was very clean and had a modern kitchen and bathroom. It's a 5-10 minute drive from plenty of wineries and some cafes. I would love to come back in the future. Would highly recommend!

The location is great, as it’s just far enough off the beaten track to be surrounded by nature but close to town/restaurants/wineries. Ash was very welcoming & communicative which was great. The train carriages have been refurbished to such a high standard! From the bedding & window furnishings, to the cabinetry & hardware down to the fluffy towels and toiletries. everything’s has been thoughtfully restored & designed to ensure guests feel comfortable and secluded. I have already recommended The Station to friends and family. Everything was perfect

Tracy (9/5): Beautiful accomodation nestled in the bush - The Queen Mary is beautifully decorated and the bedrooms were spacious for our family of 4. We loved being out in the bush with no sounds of cars passing and only hearing the birds and wildlife at night. The outdoor seating area was a lovely bonus and very private. A breakfast option would have been lovely but not a big deal as there are many cafes and restaurants a very short drive away.

Nice walk around with cute animals. Nice coffee capsules provided with fresh milk! Kitchen appliances are provided. Although there is no TV but Wi-FI is available. The door is a bit noisy to open/close.
