- Diego (9/5): - The place, the piece, the silence and the view of the whole city. The cabin (the below bed) was broken differently just when one of my daughters (10 years old) sat down.
- Guest (9/5): -
- Fabio (8/5): - The owners were very helpful. They helped us organize all our transportation to and from the airport and for the next day when we wanted to plan a day trip. Even if was really early in the morning or late in the evening. Their help was essential!

- Indranil (5/5): Passable - Location overlooking the city amid the hills was peaceful and relaxing. The staff that look after the place, Milena and Ovidio, warm, welcoming, helpful and overall were excellent Facilities are limited, really the place could do with some investment and sprucing up. Mosquito nets would have been helpful
- Perrine (10/5): Exceptional -
(8/5): A peaceful escape (but stock up!) - A clean and spacious room
A light and clean bathroom
Excellent hot water shower :)
Fruit trees and flowers around
Birds flying and chirping around
A small kitchen with a gas stove and some necessities
A refreshing pool
Lovely breakfast outside
Big veranda with hammocks
Fresh air and hiking trails nearby
Beautiful view of Pereira The place is far from the city, and it was problematic to get a taxi there.
There are only two restaurants (walking distance) with overpriced food. No shops around. So, stock up before coming here.
The roads in some places were poor, and the taxi drivers were visibly distressed.
It was impossible to get a taxi from the finca to the airport (luckily, the finca manager can organise it for you).
- Mario (9/5): Superb -
- Samuel (9/5): Nice and peaceful stay - Amazing view over the city of pereira and the hills.
Really nice and helpful staff.
Fair value.
- Sam (10/5): perfect escape from the city - amazing place, out of the city, quiet, the hosts are very friendly and the breakfast was fresh and tasty. they have water and beer to buy on site. overall I loved it, if I come back to pereira I would stay here again you need to be let out of the property, would be nice to have a key to open the big door just to not feel like I’m bothering, but every time I needed to leave it was easy
- Robert (10/5): Fantastic boutique hotel overlooking the city - This boutique hotel sits high on a hill overlooking the city and has magnificent views in all directions. The rooms are large, clean, and well furnished. There is hot water and the breakfasts are outstanding. Ovidio, the owner, is extremely kind and accommodating. We speak very little Spanish and he speaks no English but we made it work with Google Translate and WhatsApp. We are birders and the variety of birds here is amazing. The road up to the hotel is very steep and windy and we were glad we didn’t have to drive it ourselves. Ovidio can arrange tours. If you come request either room 3 or 4, both of which share a lovely covered veranda with hammocks. The only problem is that you are far from services, however there is a decent restaurant a 15 minute walk away and they also deliver.
- Hugo (10/5): Exceptional - This hotel is amazing, the view is just incredible and the place very quiet
Don Ovidio was super nice and caring, everything was perfect ! Even the breakfast was delicious, we 100% enjoyed our stay.
Thanks a lot :)
- Rumen (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing view towards valley of Pereira. The staf is very kind and helpful. Decent breakfast :)
- Lorena (3/5): I wouldn’t follow by the rating they have because It is not accurate - Friendly stuff amazing view Very expensive for what it offers, location is difficult to get to in a normal taxi, quite far from the city, rooms smelled like sewage, taps leaking, old bathroom and toilets, beds were smelly (like they didn’t change the sheets).
- Danny (10/5): A lovely place with great host. - The owners were great and always pleasant and willing to help. The location and facilities are beautiful. The flowers and landscaping are amazing. Having a car would be a big plus if you are going to do a long stay since it’s remotely located above the city conveniences. The description said there was a restaurant but there wasn’t one. The nearest one is about a 15 minuet walk away on a very steep road. I didn’t have a car so that made it hard. The nearer store is far away and there are no taxis going by on the road. No credit card payment so bring pesos.
- Jeffrey (10/5): Exceptional - The attention from Mr. Ovidio and the workers was spectacular. Very kind and open to help you in everything. The place is beautiful, lots of colorful birds, you have a view of the city and the Andes mountains
- Armando (10/5): Excellent and staff very professional and personable - The location and the view of the city of Pereira.
- Richard (6/5): A lovely secluded place, but not ideal if you wish to see or explore. Prices for tours are more that advertised but stil - Beautiful surroundings Location is not perfect or ideal for food, attractions and town
- Sonia (10/5): Paradise on top of hill! - Beautiful scenery and ambiance!
- Sanjay (8/5): Very good -
- Thierry (10/5): Beautiful - Super kind and friendly staff - it felt like home!
- Katherine (10/5): 10 nights for this family of 5, with amazing views and delicious food. - ROOM- Plenty of space for us to put away all our items in the closet and 3 bed side tables. The large shower had great water pressure and temperature was easily adjusted. We shared the balcony with one other room. My kids LOVED the hammocks and spent a good deal of time in them when we were at the hotel.
CLEANLINESS- Always had fresh towels, sheets and blankets were changed every 2days. The staff quickly came to our rescue, cleaning the bed and sanitizing the whole room when my 3year old woke up with "travelers tummy" one morning. They even offered to wash some of our personal items which I gratefully accepted.
BREAKFAST- Delicious! We typically ordered fruit, coffee, hot chocolate, eggs, cheese and bread. They were happy to change things up for my kids and as we wanted to try different things. Much of the fruit (papaya, mango, pineapple, bananas, oranges) and orange juice came from their trees. I love hot sauce on my eggs and upon the request, I'm pretty sure they went out and bought picante just for me.
VIEW/LOCATION- A local friend made several comments about not needing to take us to other planned spots because the view from our hotel was better. It is quiet and peaceful though you will occasionally hear music from passing vehicles or the trotting of a passing horse. We took the difficult path up the mountain once upon arriving- would not recommend. haha. The other path is easy and an enjoyable way to greet locals with a joyful ¡buenas! each day. It would have taken the same amount of time if not more to navigate through the city each day to get to our daily destination. More things we liked, since I ran out of room:
The STAFF were amazing. Ovidio made sure we had everything we needed and more. Graciously opened the gate for us at all hours of the day and night. They checked on us in the middle of the day when my 3yr old was unwell to bring her an electrolyte drink and see if we wanted lunch- bringing her toast upon request. They helped us order from the restaurant down the way and Ovidio gave us a small tour of their property, gushing over his fruit trees and pulling oranges for everyone to enjoy. The resident dog, Toby, guided us on a hike further up the mountain; disappearing occasionally only to be met with joyful squeals from my children when he suddenly returned.
We know very little Spanish and the staff knows very little English, but they were happy to use translation apps, communicate with a friend of ours from the area and use as many gestures as needed. Kindness and care were felt the entire time and it was an awesome experience. We were glad we spent all 10 nights here and would definitely return.
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional - Beautifully get away in the hills around pereira. Awesome view from the pool and the hammock on our balcony. Lots of hiking opportunities. Yummy breakfast. Super friendly staff.
- Gustavo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Héctor (9/5): Superb -
- Mohammad (10/5): Home away from home. - Location: a little outside of the city, located just shy of the mountain top. The view from anywhere at the hotel is breathtaking. The service was as spectacular as the view. Breakfast is made to your preference and is as homey as it gets. 10/10 recommended! (The only thing is there is no A/C but a small price to pay. Do consider you’ll be mountainside and it is notably cooler)
- Esteban (10/5): Exceptional -
- Oscar (10/5): Great hosts with awesome views, - Mr. Ovidio and family made us feel at home. They were very attentative of our needs. The road to the place was not paved, but not a big deal.
- Ligia (10/5): Perfect finca with an amazing Host - The property was gourgeous , the pool had an amazing view and the room was huge with an amazing view . But the thing we loved the most was the host Ovidiu !! A really friendly and amazing person that made us feel at home . We could easily stay a week . 100% recommend ! -
- Pauline (9/5): Superb - Amazing views over Pereira and beyond. Clean and comfortable. Substantial and delicious breakfast. Beautiful grounds with lots of birds, flowers and fruit trees. Lovely terrace and infinity pool with incredible view. Ovidio was very welcoming and helpful, ordering both a taxi to the airport and food for delivery for us. A great stay! Nothing
- Robin (10/5): Best value and facilities and location ever. - Everything. Nothing.
- Heyde (8/5): Very good - The hotel is beautiful, the location provided a great view. Delicious breakfast. We didn’t have hot water for few days bc the heater broke and the person that fixed it was very busy.
- John (7/5): Nice place but organisation/communication could be better - Nice people, good breakfast, great views. Room was fine. Didn't realise when I booked but the place is hard to get to, you really need a transfer, can't take a normal taxi/Uber. Electricity was off when I arrived. Make sure you eat dinner elsewhere! They told me dinner was possible, but it was actually just delivery and the food was bad – took over an hour to arrive and was cold and hard.
- Andrea (10/5): I will return - Pool
Views
Staff I liked everything
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful stay in a beautiful property with the best views , hosts were amazing and very helpful. Thank you to you both
- Shaila (10/5): It was a wonderful experience. Every detail was exceptional! - The view was incredible and the accommodations were clean and comfortable. The hot tub and pool were very relaxing. Additionally, the owners were very kind and hospitable. We had a wonderful stay.
- Alma (10/5): Perfect getaway for nature lovers - The place is beautiful, the view is breathtaking. The staff is very friendly and accomodating, and the room was very clean and cared for.
We spent a short time there but we hope we can go back one day The access is a little difficult but Ovidio will provide the phone number for a taxi service who know their way around and will take you to and from the hotel for a reasonable price
- Gareth (8/5): Very good - Comfy room, amazing view, great staff The road up to it was quite rough, steep and narrow. I didn't have a key for the front gate so had to ask someone from the house every time I wanted to go out and call them to get back in.
- Simon (10/5): The best place in peireira - Everything is incredible from the staff to the facilities. I loved the attention and kindness as well as the view and tranquility. Highly recommend
- Alex (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gordon (9/5): Perfect for me. - Location, close to city and nature. Excellent staff. Clean.
- Binger (8/5): Very good -
- César (8/5): Very good -
- Sarah (9/5): Superb - Very friendly and accommodating, we arrived very late in the night and the owner helped us to get dinner delivered from a nearby restaurant and provided additional food / drink from his kitchen.
Beautiful relaxing location away from the city but still close, nice swimming pool, great view above Pereira, street a little rough to get there but doable (important to follow instructions and not google map) Would have loved to stay longer than just one night. Suggest to eat dinner before getting up there if you arrive late. Our shower was only cold, not sure if that was mentionned in description, but not a big deal.
- Alice (7/5): Lovely gardens and views - The garden is fabulous and the views are amazing. The man running the place was very nice. Breakfast was very good It is hard to get to and the taxi charge 50,000 to get there. He agreed to take me to the thermals at st Vincent the next day for 85,000 and this became 200,000 the next day . This may have been a misunderstanding, although transport from Santa Rosa just down the road is a lot cheaper. There was no readily available drinking water which I found unusual. The jacuzzi was out of service and the pool wasn't maintained so we didn't stay on which we had been thinking of doing. Would have needed water for that also.
