Guest Reviews
- Rebecca (8/5): Good value for money! - Great location. Easily accessible. Zero air ventilation for the summer heatwave.
- Escape (5/5): Underwhelming. - Modernised accommodation. Had to ask for wifi. Took 24hrs to connect.
No furniture. Not even a side table or table for kettle (tray on floor). Just a bed.
No shower gel.
View of concrete plant.
Good bed let down by 2 terrible pillows.
Fan wd be nice.
- Sofia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Malin (10/5): Cozy place with everything you need! - Easy access to the apartment, clean and fresh
- Simon (8/5): Very good -
- Melha (10/5): Exceptional - The localisation is great if you want to avoid the center of London and yet be close enough to the monuments.
The unit provides the minimum amenities and Will has been the most gracious host.
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stewart (7/5): Will was extremely helpful with checking checking in and out process. Would highly recommend. - Property was extremely clean and close to local tube/train stations. Noise level outside was acceptable so was able to get a good sleep. Bathroom/shower was also very clean and modern. Please be aware there is a shared bathroom at this property. I didn’t read the information (clearly stated that there is a shared bathroom) so that was my fault.
- Julie (9/5): Will stay again - The studio room and separate (shared) bathroom is always spotless and benefits from a terrace which is quite a treat in London! The location is fab and the owner is responsive too. There's not much to dislike! The only thing I would advise people to be clear on is when you are booking to read the information provided, the booking page has photos for both rooms. If you are booking the 'studio' that's the room with the kitchen, sofabed and terrace, if you are booking the 'twin room' then it doesn't have the kitchen in it. It's a shared bathroom and a homestay.
- Mike (6/5): Served its purpose, but not what we expected - Very comfortable bed, warm room, smart TV with streaming services. Next door to a pub, public transport services within 10 min walk. Very clear checkin instructions. Light kept going off in bathroom, which is very annoying when having a shower or doing your business in the toilet. Passage very dim and dark, didn't appear to be a way to make it brighter. Again as mentioned in other comments, this didn't feel clear that we only had a twin room within the apartment, so double and triple check that what you are booking is what you are expecting.
- Eileen (8/5): Very good -
- Charaf (8/5): Very good -
- James (3/5): Poor -
- Angelica (7/5): Nice apartment, didn't realise we'd be sharing - But wonderful host! - Location was excellent - only thing is we didn't realise we would be only staying in one room, rather than having the whole apartment to ourselves. We found out when the owner came home to us cooking! Ooops - The apartment itself is very nice and modern, the room is well sized. We would have maybe felt a little more comfortable if we knew we could use the apartment as if it were our own, as we felt like we were intruding a little because of this mishap. But the host said he was happy for us to continue cooking and to take our time.
- Radosław (10/5): Will and Cristina are very kind people. They took good care of us. Location is great, room is cozy, beds are comfortable - Friendly hosts, comfy beds, nice bathroom, bus stop in front of the entrance, metro station nearby.
- Patrik (8/5): Very good -
- Jonathan (7/5): Good - Great room for the value with friendly hosts.
- Adam (1/5): We didn’t stay longer than 2 minutes. We booked a more suitable place and high-tailed it out of there. - Nothing The room description clearly indicated a private bathroom, and the property description didn’t clearly state that you were renting a spare room in someone’s flat. If it had indicated that I would never have booked this place. The owner denied that the description was misleading and refused to acknowledge their part in the deceptive advertising and false information
- Rafael (8/5): Very good - The window of the room faces the street and is not particularly sound-proof. If you are a light sleeper (like me) you'll need to sleep with earplugs in.
- Craig (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniella (9/5): Superb -
- Jonathan (9/5): Good location, attentive host, comfortable home from home. - Excellent location, a short walking distance to all public transport including a bus stop right outside. Comfortable good sized apartment with a fantastic shower, comfy beds and large balcony area. Nothing.
- James (9/5): Pretty much exactly what we were after. A good base for the week which allowed us to see plenty of the city - Terrace was epic, great location, Will (host) was super helpful and accommodating
- Hans (9/5): I’m looking back at a great stay at the South Chelsea Room - Being the first guest ever was a nice surprise. This apartment is a great place to spend time in London. It’s very comfortable, spacious living room, very clean and it has all the facilities you need for cooking, washing, etc.. All brand new by the way ! The new bathroom has a great shower. There’s also an outdoor terrace with seats which is a nice bonus. And I loved the fact that public transport really is so close. There’s also a small super market nearby and a decent pub where you can eat and drink. The host is very friendly and helpful and does all he can to give you a comfortable stay. I am a light sleeper so the traffic outside did bother me at night.
