- Louise (3/5): Incredibly disappointing, dirty and unkept we would like at least 50% refund. - The whole house was dirty, things broken not at all clean, not enough glasses no tea or coffee as stated, they wanted $260 to turn on the gas to heat the pool yet it states its free. Could not use the BBQ, tables outside extremely dirty as were all the windows. Curtains knotted up as that were moldy, only an air conditioner in the kitchen, whole house hot. Had to was any plate, glass cutlery or pan that we used. Fat in the stove, the smoke detector missing, found it on the microwave and only one that should have been up in the kitchen. Extremally uncomfortable couches, pool gate broken and not child safe.
- Martina (7/5): our stay was fun & family orientated, had all the comforts needed for a great long weekend. - the space throughout the home was great, with the outdoor giving us more space for the kids. the front room with the fireplace gave us adults warm and fun game nights while kids were sleep down the other end.
The heated pool was a hit, but the pizza oven was the winner as the kids ate while watching tv outside all rugged up after coming out of the pool, no complains and no social media, just family time and smiles. (‾◡◝) i would have preferred to not have to go to the shops and grab toilet paper (no spare roll in the carbons)
coffee pods (note on the wall said pods in pantry but none) and some pantry staples.
- Rhonda (4/5): Great potential but cleanliness, maintenance and having some able to attend to issues is needed - Location, size of pool Photos and description of property not entirely accurate. That owner’s had not addressed issues raised in previous reviews. Lack of cleanliness. Not value for money.
- David (3/5): Significantly below expectations - Good location, safe and quiet
Spacious house with pool We recently stayed at the property, expecting a five-star experience as advertised. Unfortunately, it was far from that.
After a long 9-hour drive, we arrived to find the place in a terrible state. There were spiders, both dead and alive, in every room, and pet hair covered the floors. My wife had to vacuum, and we both spent time getting rid of the spiders before we could even think about sleeping.
The cleanliness issues continued. The sofa had stains, and dust was everywhere—in the corners, on side tables, the dining table, inside wardrobes, and even in the outdoor sitting area.
The main bedroom’s bed was uncomfortable; it squeaked with every movement, and the mattress was so soft and poor quality that we could feel every spring.
We also found dirty wine glasses on a bookcase, with leftover wine growing mold - they are still there!
The windows were filthy, blocking what should have been nice views.
In the kids’ room, chairs had screws sticking out, making them unsafe to use, and the sliding wardrobe was a messy pile of old dirty toys.
The outdoor entertainment area was dirty and unusable - all chairs and table.
To add to our disappointment, the cost for “gas heating” was surprisingly high, especially since we saw a solar pump working on and off.
For a place advertised as a “five-star experience,” it was disappointing and not worth the high price. This was supposed to be a special family holiday, and while the property has potential—it’s spacious, with a big pool, in a good location, safe and quiet—the lack of cleanliness and maintenance ruined our stay.
I hope the owners look into these issues quickly to prevent future guests from having such a disappointing experience.
