- Andreas (5/5): Great Location - but .....rather disappointing overall - Very good Location as right in the Center of La Cala de Mijas. Good Location - but be aware: Right across the house is a Wholesale Beverage Market. Delivery Traffic and noisy Forklift in the mornings! A couple of meters away: Italian Restaurant. Open Late = noisy. In the surroundings: Bars = open very late and partying People. It is not a quiet, most relaxing area!
As it is advertised with "Parking" it would have been great to get instructions to operating the Parking Space Gate prior to arrival. The Motor for the Gate is not working and the "Work around" seems not the safest way. The Kitchen is NOT well equipped! I would have expected some basics like Salt, Pepper, Sugar. Cling Wrap, Storage Boxes.. Kitchen Paper Roll, Dish Drainer - as there is no Dish Washer. The handle of the fridge is not existant. The exhaust grille of the stove/switch for lights is full of Dirt and Grease!
The House has only two full bath! The third Bath is just a Toilet - and the Lighting is a joke! And: Bring Toilet Paper! As not enough for 4 People for one week is provided.
It would have been very helpful to have instructions how to operate the TV, Netflix (in english) u.a. - if WiFi is working (not always/not for 4 Peopole using it at the same time) you might be able to actually enjoy it.
And: Be skilled in some sort of "craftmanship" as you might be asked to change the Gas Cylinders for the Warm Water supply or the Stove - which is an absolute No-Go in my opinion! Communication with the Host was not as fast/prioritized as I would have expected/am used to with other Hosts.

The Host / Agent HolidaysForU set prospects of upgrading the Property and taking care of/fixing the issues mentioned above - where possible.
Therefore I hope future Guests will be able to enjoy their Stay at La Cala de Mijas without issues and will be able to set a higher rating!
- Michelle (10/5): Amazing, beautiful weather, lovely location and great hosts. - The location of this property is ideal, sandwiched between the town centre and the beach in a traditional Spanish road. The property itself was delightful to stay in, very clean and spacious. Extensive utility area at the back of the property housing a freezer, washing machine and dryer. Very tastefully furnished and communication with the owners was excellent. They were very attentive and ensured that all our needs were met. Would highly recommend this property. The value for money was exceptional. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Had a few issues logging onto the Wifi initially. It was a bit confusing as there appeared to be 2 routers. If the Network and password could be displayed clearly somewhere, that would be useful. This in no way detracted from our holiday, it is just an observation.
