- Ysée (5/5): Accueil décevant mais chambre RAS - Le petit déjeuner était bon. La chambre était propre. Ménage de la chambre fait tous les jours (changements des serviettes tous les 3 jours). Arrivés avec le ferry, nous avions demandé un taxi en amont. On nous a dit que quelqu’un nous attendrait mais non. Lorsqu’on l’a dit à l’hôtesse elle a ri. Nous avons payé la chambre en euros (espèces - c’est plus cher si vous payez en carte). Ils n’avaient pas le change (800 escudos / 8€). J’ai dû réclamer 4 fois dans les jours qui ont suivi - ce qui est assez désagréable. Le dimanche, personne ne nous avait prévenu que l’hôtel était fermé pendant quelques heures. Nous voulions retourner dans la chambre pour prendre nos maillots de bain mais impossible. Nous avons attendu 45 minutes que quelqu’un revienne (impossible de les joindre par téléphone). Pas d’excuses quand on lui a dit. La chambre était bien mais sous la douche il faut attendre 7/8 minutes l’arrivée de l’eau chaude. Perte d’eau impressionnante… Lorsque nous sommes partis, il n’y avait personne à l’accueil (alors qu’ils savaient à quelle heure on partait). Nous avons donné la clé à la cuisinière… accueil à revoir…

- Francois (10/5): A very good stay in a pleasant hotel - The staff is very welcoming and friendly. Rooms were clean and breakfast was very good. The hotel is located very close to the village centre and the little harbour. Ponta do Sol is a very good hub for hikers. The environment around the hotel is still "work in progress". We think it will be much better in a few months when road works and construction sites are more advanced. But this does not affect the hotel itself, which remains calm and welcoming.

Ayant envoyé la veille un message via booking confirmant notre arrivée, j’ai reçu le matin même un message m’informant que nous n’avions pas les chambres pourtant réservées et confirmées. On me proposait heureusement une solution dans un autre hôtel, le Miranda, où nous avons été bien logés. Je me suis rendu au Sol Point Art dès notre arrivée à Ponta do Sol, où nous avons, avec le réceptionniste, modifié les dates puis annulé sans frais notre réservation dans cet hôtel.

- Joanna (7/5): Der Aufenthalt war insgesamt angenehm, aber der Preis ist leider im Verhältnis zur Qualität zu hoch. - Sehr freundlicher Besitzer und insgesamt ein ausgesprochen netter Service. Das Frühstück war sehr gut – frisch zubereitete Omeletts und Eier sowie lokale Produkte. Der Meerblick war kaum wahrnehmbar, da die Fenster mit einem ungewöhnlichen Glas versehen sind. Das erste Zimmer, das wir bekommen haben, war leider nicht zufriedenstellend. Positiv war jedoch, dass der Zimmerwechsel sehr schnell und ohne unnötige Diskussionen erfolgte.

- catherine (1/5): dommage d'avoir - personnel malhonnête nous avons été contraints de quitter l'établissement une nuit plus tôt pour un changement d'horaire de notre avion et nous avons eu l'engagement du personnel de nous rembourser les deux chambres réservées pour la nuit en question et depuis ils refusent de respecter leur engagement de plus il est mantionné une piscine qui en réalité est un bassin dans un sous sol sombre et très peu engageant pas de climatisiation dans les chambres mais un ventilateur très bruyant

Lieve mensen aan de balie en in de keuken. Omgeving: dit blijft droog en rondom bouwprojecten in opkomst. Uitzicht zee maar eerst moet je door n stuk afgegraven braak liggend stuk grond. Kan t hotel niks aan doen.

This is a modern property with sea view, a nice terrace, and good restaurant for breakfast. friendly owners, whom I met at breakfast. The property is located 5 minutes away from the very nice village square and church and from the path from Punta del Sol to Cruzinha. Rooms are very spacious, well furnished, mine had a wonderful balcony. I could watch the star sky and hear the waves crushing the rocky coast. Yet, I had to open the door to the balcony and all windows to be able to sleep. There is no air condition. This is really missing. Also, the path to the property still leads, in parts, over a dark construction site. Not dangerous, but be aware that the cobbled path is limited. This will probably change soon.
- Marion (10/5): Exceptional - Very well run place, generous to a fault. We had asked for twin beds but they didn’t have any room with twin beds so they gave us a complimentary second room. Even though the suite I had booked was very big and could have easily accommodated a second bed. On our second night, we went to the restaurant. We were told they hadn’t opened yet as they had been doing some renovations but they kindly offered to cook a meal especially for us. Not only was it greatly appreciated as after hiking all the way the Cruzinha, I could not have walked any further, but the meal was excellent. Everything was great.
