Guest Reviews
- Rodney (4/5): Convenient but the property needed some attention - Location was close to main attractions and shopping but still felt away from the hustle and bustle of the city Inadequate amount of linen, only 2 duvets for 5 people, 1 towel per person and no spares, only 1.5 rolls of toilet paper, no tea/coffee/milk/sugar at the property, tv didn’t work on arrival, pool was actually down near the main house, which looked uninhabited but infact had someone come and go frequently making it unappealing to use, poorly maintained gardens and bbq area. I really expected a higher standard especially for the price
- Pamela (1/5): Bad - Totally disgusting rusted dirtiest place I have been in the beds were uncomfortable Everything I was not game to eat on even the plates 😞😞😞
- Beverley (1/5): Dirty - The beds were lovely and the hot water endless The rodent droppings on the kitchen bench and cupboards and the lack of any decent cloth to wipe this mess up. The filthy floors, window sills and skirting boards. The lack of a mat at the door to wipe your shoes of mud and debris from the ‘paddock’ parking. The lack of consumables-tea, coffee, milk etc that the price of property would indicate-offered. The fact that the TV had substandard picture. I could go on…….but you get the picture. Attempted to negotiate redress-to no avail, just put off until gave up. Hoping that this review seriously affects their business-cause they don’t deserve to have occupancy! Only took photos as we left-of sweeping’s (notice the dust-not been swept properly in ages) and broken chairs!
- Aiden (10/5): Exceptional - The host is amazing!
Went above and beyond for our needs.
- Mark (2/5): Location Great, But That Is It - Location is excellent. In a rural setting however only a 10 minute drive from central Coomera and Dreamworld.
Shower has been renovated.
Allowed our dog. On arrival it appeared the property and buildings were in disrepair. While on a rural property, the immediate outside area (courtyard and surrounding the house) were not kept with weeds and overgrown grass. We were worried about letting our dog outside in case of snakes.
We were located in the ‘barn’, however there was another bigger property located near by which had open doors and appeared deserted.
Once in the property we were shocked how dirty the place was. To name a few issues.
* dust and dirt on the beds.
* mould on the curtains.
* stains all over the couches.
* a dental flosser found under one of the cushions.
* our dog was found on one occasion eating chewing gum which we assumed he found in the house.
* the main bedroom is located in the loft. We were unable to sleep in this location due to the heat. There were portable air-conditioners however they provided no relief, and the air-condition units down stairs did nothing for up stairs.
* the BBQ hotplate had mould on it.
Some other general issues
* we were told to take the rubbish up the driveway to the main bins. There were no garbage bags to use.
* being a privately owned home we would have expected utensils like a can opener being available.
* there was a pool advertised, when we eventually found it we were worried to use it noting the uncleanliness of the rest of the property.
- Maryrose (6/5): VERY PLEASANT! - FIRSTLY, WE DID NOT MEET THE HOSTS. THE PROPERTY IS NOT QUITE AS PRETTY IN REAL LIFE AS IT WAS IN THE PICTURE. WE WERE PRETTY LAY BACK AND THE PROPERTY WAS OK. THE NEIGHBOURS WERE VERY HELPFUL AND NICE TO CHAT WITH. IT WAS A SPACIOUS PROPERTY. I LIKED THE RURAL ASPECT OF IT. ALSO PARKING WAS GREAT. THE TWO NEW BATHROOMS WERE VERY NICE. IT WAS A BIT TRICKY WITH THE TV, WITH REGARDS TO THE KEY, THAT WAS A LITTLE TRICKY AS I HAD DIFFICULTY IN PHONING THE BOOKINGS.COM, BUT EVENTUALLY EVERYTHING WORKED OUT WELL.
WE HAD A NICE STAY AND IT WAS LOVELY TO BE ABLE TO TAKE MY LITTLE DOG. THIS WAS FANTASTIC.
THE PLACE NEEDS TO BE SPRAYED FOR COCKIES!
IT WAS A COMFORTABLE PROPERTY - NOT CELUBRIOUS, BUT COMFORTABLE.
DID ANYONE FIND A THIN GOLD BANGLE? BELIEVE I LOST IT THERE?? MANY THANKS IT WAS A NICE STAY. THERE WERE COCKY DROPPINGS ON THE BENCH IN THE KITCHEN - MIGHT NEED A PEST MAN TO COME IN.
- Harbord (6/5): Comfortable quiet location only downfall was a not working television, besides that would stay there - The only bad thing was the TV didn't work at all
- Amy (4/5): Unfortunately unforgettable but for the wrong reasons - The upstairs bed was incredibly comfortable. The fact that there are two bathrooms ended up being fantastic with four people staying in the house. Falling asleep and waking up to the birds outside was beautiful, the location to the theme parks and all other stores you might need was fantastic. It is a very relaxing area to be in so highly rate that! I hate to leave any kind of bad review, i usually can find the good in everything. But this stay was far from what we were expecting. Unfortunately we arrived to a very run down old building, which would have been fine but the cleanliness wasnt up to par once we came in. There was old leaves, broken toys and rubbish all over the courtyard. The walls and benches were dirty and theres weird dripping coming off the walls. We were tired so decided to shower and climb into bed but learned the lesson that because the showers dont have doors that if you leave anything on the ground it will all end up soaked. Climbed into bed and had the worst nights sleep, the three beds down stairs were so hard that the following day we had to go out and purchase mattress toppers so that we could get a good night's sleep (note, we gave them to family that we were visiting and didn't leave behind so you might need to purchase your own aswell) the remote to one rooms air-conditioner doesn't work so had some pretty hot nights. Some buttons on TV remote don't work so was a nightmare to get to the right channels, the dishwasher doesn't actually wash the dishes properly so had to hand wash everything. The bedrooms downstairs have a very weird smell to them, as do the two bathrooms. If you are relaxing outside while someone is having a shower or flushes the toilet you can smell sewerage backup which is really unpleasant. The camp stove makes a 5 minute dinner take 30 minutes. The couches are incredibly uncomfortable and have grose stains all over them, the place is quiet alot darker than the photos lead you to believe. Theres no pool in sight like it says in the listing. The curtains upstairs have been cut along the bottom with scissors which left long strings dangling off, when we had the window open the curtains blew and tangled onto everything on the side table pulling it off which resulted in breaking the bedside lamp and a cup.
- Julia (8/5): Rural holiday - Bird song and friendly bird life were a treat. Rural setting was lovely. Close to amenities. Plenty of space and room for family. Hedge trimming from 7:30am for hours disturbed the peace. Would have appreciated a heads up. Owners were apologetic. Camp stove didn't work well.
