I would recommend this property to anyone for a short getaway. It is suitable for a family of 2 adults and 2 children. The hosts were welcoming and accommodating.

Would book again. The only thing if I had to be extremely picky is not having a high chair. However, you can always bring your own.

Gorgeous garden. Everything was super well tended and beautiful to arrive to and to stay there. Our host was lovely to communicate with. Altogether, it gave us the much-needed little getaway and gave us a chance to reset. Thank you for your excellent service. I felt proud to be able to show this little gem and Avalon to our overseas guest. There was one minor problem - a frog disturbing our sleep just outside the bedroom window!

• Blossom Lewis (9/5): Peaceful weekend getaway - The cottage was the perfect weekend getaway, located in the quiet residential area of Avalon, it was a really peaceful stay. The cottage was very clean and tidy, with everything you needed. It was only a short walk to the town, which had lots of shops and restaurants. Gary & Jenny were great hosts, easy to reach and really welcoming on arrival. The bed could have been a little softer, but I guess that is personal preference! Thank you so much for our stay.

• Nina (9/5): - Gorgeous little beach house, gorgeous location. Clean, had all we needed. Home owners were lovely. We were there (mum & young daughter) mainly due to my little one being Home & Away obsessed, so much of our time was spent in Palm Beach. Avalon/Palm Beach are my idea of paradise. Id stay here again in a heartbeat Bed was very hard, usually I like a firmish bed but this bed was way too firm for me. The walk in shower is huge, a large rainhead shower would be a better fit for the size of the cubicle, but thats me being nitpicky.

• Miller (10/5): High Class Quality Accommodation - This is an amazing very high quality accommodation in a quality setting. Very peaceful and the hosts were incredible when we arrived. If style and class are your requirements then this is it.

Kitchen had cooking options and utensils. There was a selection of teas, coffee, hot chocolate and even Milo! Cottage was tidy and well thought out. It was a bit tricky to navigate heavy suitcase down the path. Much easier with carry bags.

It felt like a home away from home nestled amongst a picturesque garden. Location was perfect and a short walk to shops, cafes and beach. I will definitely be returning. The hosts were lovely and so welcoming.

(and Toby!) - The location is amazing, heaps of cafes and food around nearby, also not too far into the Sydney City and to Taronga Zoo.The size of the house was great, lots of room and the kitchen was a great size to cook and prepare dinners and lunches. The house was very clean and nicely presented, from when we first arrived we were given a warm welcome which made us feel safe. cannot wait to stay again. Thank you Gary and Jenny for the best little trip away!
