• Susan (10/5): Incredibly wonderful! - First off the communication was great and being greeted at the property by the owner was so personal. Paolo explained everything and showed us on a map of navigating the city. Everything was very walkable….did not get in a car once even to the train station. Paolo provided restaurant recommendations, sites to see and a variety of information regarding Florence. We took it all in! The apartment was clean, comfortable beds, and had lovely amenities. Apartament jest w bardzo starej kamienicy i prowadza do niego strome wąskie schody ale nam to nie przeszkadzalo. Naprzeciwko jest głośny pub dlugo otwarty, ale przy zamkniętych oknach nic nie słychać. Wszystko ok.

The apartment is ample and well equipped, with the host providing everything and anything you could need. The room is really close to the train station, which is an excellent location. That we couldn't stay longer!

The bed was comfy, the kitchen had everything we needed and we loved the location. The restaurant across the road serves great food, but you must book. Thank you Paolo!

• Jane (10/5): Fabulous apartment - I stayed as a solo traveller at Paolo’s place and loved it. I met Paolo at the apartment and he was very courteous and helpful. He gave me a lot of recommendations which were great. The apartment is fantastic - great location close to the train station and centre of town. It was very comfortable and clean and had a great little kitchen area. I felt very safe and loved checking out all of Paolo’s recommendations. When I’m next in Florence I’ll definitely book this apartment again. Thank you Paolo for such an enjoyable stay. Absolutely nothing!
• Andrew (5/5): We should have stayed somewhere else. It is a very old bldg and we probably needed something a lit - 5 minute walk from the train station. Host Paolo was friendly. There is a bar directly across the street where patrons stand outside on the sidewalks and make enough noise to keep you awake all night. In addition - there is NO signage at all - I was looking for a hotel but it was just an unmakred door in the wall. Keep the street address (#16) handy or you will never find this location. Also - nine very steep steps up to the first floor location. difficult to naviget if you are older or unsteady with suitcases. Bathroom is teeny tiny - hardly enough room in the shower to turn and not enough room in front of the toilet to keep knees from hitting the wall.

It has a kitchen area which gave us the option to have breakfast before we went exploring. Paolo was an amazing host, recommending things to do and places to eat. Always on hand to ensure everything was perfect for our stay, particularly when the train strike caused issues with our transportation.

• Carolina (10/5): Very charming, amazing location - Very charming house with a super friendly host that provides wonderful recommendations for places to visit and eat. One should be aware, however, that there's a bar right next door and it's very noisy late at night (for those light sleepers). And would like to warn the host about some leakage of the left side shower faucet (by the hot water side of it), this leakage does not affect the clients in any way.

• Kyle (9/5): A great apartment for couples with an excellent host. - Comfortable apartment within walking distance of Santa Maria Novelo train station and piazza. There is a bar across the street that was a little loud when we stayed on a Friday night.

The facilities, shower/water were more than acceptable and exceeded our needs. The host met us and ensured we were comfortable and gave us good invaluable information. • Oreny (8/5): Very good - Great host, easy communication and set up. Location is also great. Comfy bed. Sound insulation very effective. Bathroom size, especially the toilet area, was very cramped for me (186 cm tall). The water pressure in the shower was also an issue. It's actually a studio with a kitchenette, not a full apartment. There's no couch or sofa to relax on after a long day
• Nancy (10/5): Lovely stay - I liked the location, not far from the train station, its nice inside, theres a bar infront that makes a lot of noice until very late hours, but the hotel provides ear plugs. It didnt bother me the noice. Its clean.
• Sara (10/5): Our favourite place of our two week Italy trip! 10/10 - Our time at this Florence apartment was phenomenal. We had the pleasure of meeting Paolo the first day where he insisted on carrying my fiancee's luggage up the stairs and provided us with input on which local restaurants and attractions would be best for our time frame and budget. He was an absolute gentleman and a great help to us during our stay. He provided new slippers and earplugs for both my fiancee and I to ensure we had a fantastic sleep. The apartment itself is very cute and in a fantastic location, in this location you are close to every attraction and many delicious and affordable restaurants. Our only regret is not spending more time in Paolo's apartment. Overall 10/10!!!
• Ivan (8/5): Old world charm with local flavor…. - We were met at the facility by Paolo after a 10 minute walk from the train station around the piazza Santa Maria Novella and through a working class neighborhood. We were told the building was 500 years old and the walk up to the first floor was a bit tight but very doable. The apartment was clean and with two nice size rooms, efficiency kitchen and small bath was just the right size to relax and get ready to explore the attractions of Florence most of which were only less than 15 walking minutes away. The noise level was minimal even with a late night bar across the street. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the convenience of our lodging was most appreciated. One note, larger body people may find the bathroom somewhat cramped.

Highly recommend. Hard to say because it was such a great spot. The stairs are steep, so if you are elderly or have lots of luggage just know that. It's only on the first floor

Only negative for some people with heavy luggage is the stairs, however this wasn’t a problem for us because my partner was able to carry mine up the stairs.

The place is very clean & keep us warm especially during these few days when Florence is cold with the rain. All is good ! No complaint.

The bathroom being right next to the bedroom isn't very comfortable. Additionally, the heating system operates with some noise, the towels are not fresh, and there is no wardrobe.

• Kirsty (9/5): Excellent. I had a really enjoyable stay in this lovely apartment close to all the sites of Florence - The flat was exactly as per the photos online. It was equipped with all I needed for my 3 week stay, I even cooked at home some evenings. I loved my stay there and always felt safe. The host provided a lovely city map and his recommendations of things to do and places to eat, this was a lovely touch and really useful. I would definitely consider staying there again if I ever go back to Florence. It is in a four hundred year old building within a 10 to 15 minute walk from all the main sites of Florence. It was is in an area where locals live as well as tourists so it felt more real to me. There is a mini market about 5 minutes away, a laundrette and a little shop that sold fresh pasta on the door step. There is also a lovely restaurant , really popular with locals and tourists, across the street as well as a small pub. As you’d expect, being in the historic city centre and being near the pub there was some noise at night, mainly people outside the pub talking not loud music. This didn’t really disturb me as I live in a city and am used to some noise. If you are a light sleeper you may want to take some earplugs. I loved it all, and would stay there again.
• Marco (10/5): Excellent - Very cute apartment, well equiped and great location to visit Florencia. Short distance to the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, Galeria Uffizi and 5min walk to the train station. Paolo is a great host, welcomed us on arrival, shared some best places to see and walks to do, map and travel guides available in the apartment. Thank you again Paolo! Useful info: although the Tourist Tax (5.50€ x person x day) is included in the total price to pay (booking details), Booking didn't charge us the tax. Paid directly to the host on arrival.
• Nancy (10/5): A friendly oasis in this busy city. - Really wonderful old building that has been renovated for comfort and convenience. Our host had walking tours on a map which we used and also we ate at the restaurant across the street which he recommended We booked this because it was so close to the train station and other great sites. We were met on arrival as planned. He had so many little extras that make a pleasant stay. You have to climb a flight of stairs to the room. AC worked well. Really glad we booked it and would stay again. This is a large place for a city stay. .I noticed an odor, but this is an old building!!! Also be careful coming out of the door as you are right on the sidewalk.

He gave us a quick apartment tour and left us to it. His apartment is really well located and maintained, a short walk from most of the main sights and from the train station.
