Guest Reviews
- Shweta (9/5): Nice and cozy stay. - Super friendly and accommodating staff.
- aiyana (10/5): - It felt safe, with codes to enter the property. The only thing was that the walls seemed a bit thin but it seems to be an older building so as long you don’t have noisy neighbors, you’d be alright!
- Athena (2/5): Was trying to get away for the weekend - Set up was decent It was so loud . You could hear everything . It smelled of weed very strong . The bed was beyond uncomfortable .
- Dion (10/5): Excellent stay would highly recommend - Great size room and amenities, king beds were extremely comfortable.
Good central location

- David (10/5): My granddaughter and I went to the Orpheum theater your only a half block away what can I say it was one of those amazi - The location is a bit raw but you are safe in and around the audemar Easier access to morning coffee in room perhaps?
- Ricardo (9/5): -
- Cat (4/5): It was just okay; I probably won't stay here in the future - - WiFi was not reliable
- TV channels did not work
-TV internet did not work and the person who came up to help was also at a loss and called for someone else to come help who never arrived.
- Housekeeping tried to randomly enter our room while we were in there, abruptly left upon seeing me, and then never came back (room was still in disarray so I'm not sure if they thought we had checked out for some reason? It was confusing)
- AC/mini split unit remote did not function but the unit itself did; however the remote had a heat function that the unit did not have so overall it was freezing in the room.
- Coffee provided in the lobby in the morning was the cold coffee left out from the day before and upon asking if coffee was going to be brewed, the front desk person looked at my husband blankly
- tsering (10/5): clean, comfortable and convenience. - I like the room setting. little bit of lighting change.

- jeffrey (10/5): Great place to stay. Secure and friendly services. - Great location, friendly host and large spacious unit.
- jeffrey (10/5): - Location and convenience to Crypto Centre.
- Tritia (10/5): Absolutely a great stay, plan to - The comfort of the space, couches, and beds were comfortable. The aesthetics of the home great as well. They were very communicative and its walking distance to quite a few things - for convenience, places to eat and drink and even shop. The place we stayed in was very clean!! Obviously the location isn’t the best to many, but it wasn’t too bad to me - it’s more like because of the location I wouldn’t expect it to be priced as much as it was. In my opinion. What I really didn’t like was the complaint we got from downstairs apparently saying we were making a lot of noise, that it sounded like we’re moving furniture around and arguing. When my kids and I simply spilled Ice on the floor and moved a chair to clean it. Lol.
- Jaylene (10/5): - quiet and calm location
- Roberto (5/5): -
- Aime (2/5): Felt cat-fished and way oversold - Location was close to event Honestly The marketing for this hotel is great because I expected something nice, especially with the whole price tag for a single king bed over $300.
There were fungus gnats flying around the room, black curly hairs on the freshly made bed. The toilet paper roll Fixture easily fell apart off the wall, and there were tiny picture hanger hooks in the bathroom walls that we were supposed to use for our towels…. The photos did not represent the space.
I tried to let the first few things go but it just kept getting worse.
There were no updated features like usb charging ports. My boyfriend causally sat down on the bed in the first 5 minutes and I feared it was about the give out just from the noise alone it made. The window air conditioner needed the curtains moved and placed on top of the unit for any air flow, and between the hallway noise and the event space below our actual rooms that we could hear loudly it was hard to fall asleep, whatever the loud buzzing electrical sound was from next next door didn’t make sense either as there aren’t any loud looking appliances, theres no coffee in the rooms, water, or microwave either. The location has two gates to get in to the lobby and additional parking was 30 bucks overnight on the street over.
I really wanted to like it, it looks cool from the photos and thought it would be worth the extra money to have some style. But it wasn’t worth it. Even for the single night we stayed.

- Katharina (8/5): -
- Albert (7/5): It was okay and did what we needed. But the place was expensive for all the things that needed to be fixed. And it neede - It was very spacious and grand. Loved rooftop terrace. It had so many little things falling apart, like the door handles, shower handles, broken tile outside, not everything was clean.
- ruiz (10/5): -
- Sofía (7/5): Bien para una o dos noches - La habitación en sí. El baño y la limpieza. La zona no está muy buena, está entre medio d runa zona linda y otra bastante fea.
La recepción está bastante venida abajo…
- Juan Carlos (10/5): -
- احمد الرماحي (8/5): - Great and clean hotel with friendly staff. No staff in the reception, you have to text the owner/receptionist Carlos, but he was very helpfull and quick to answer :) The room was spacious and clean with a smart TV. There was no housekeeping any of the days we were there, so trash accumulated in the room. The location did not feel safe after 10 - 11 PM.

- Pallavi Singhee (7/5): -
- hillary (7/5): - I liked some elements, nice room. I didn’t like the $40 cleaning fee. Thought that should have come included in the original stay

Super comfortable beds.

- Lokhandwala (7/5): Hotel and stay was good. But avoid staying anywhere in downtown LA. - Room was very decorated, organized and clean. Had all the amenities as advertised.
- Naeem (6/5): Pleasant -
- Itay (5/5): Passable -
- Amanda (7/5): Good -
- Brenton (4/5): This place could’ve been perfect if it weren’t for the noise and the flies. - The decor was charming and reminded me of Belgium. The staff were incredibly nice, straightforward and very helpful throughout the stay. The air conditioning unit required the window to remain open, which let in a ton of flies. On top of that, street noise was constant, screaming at 3am until 5am, traffic, you name it. The bed was also extremely firm, which might suit some, but it wasn’t comfortable for me.
- Ahmed (7/5): Good - Modify address on google maps. Change it to S Spring st not main st
- Patricia (3/5): no - Bed was comfortable I talked to staff and owner several times regarding my canceled booking through them which was more money. They never canceled it. Were supposed to use my booking.com rate but they canceled THAT reservation and charged me more. Also, a fight outside in the middle of the night. Sounded bad.
- Antonio (8/5): Great location and easy access. We loved it - Spacious and great beds! Nothing really
- Timothy (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable
- Guadalupe (3/5): Poor -
- Claudia (1/5): Bad - nothing unprofessional staff
- Kasandra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jackson (8/5): Was pretty good, about what I was expecting - Easy to get to and convenient. Unique little place. Went to the kings game and it was a short walk to crypto.com arena Wasn’t the nicest area but seemed pretty secure. A couple of gates with codes to get in so not anyone can just walk into the lobby. Also parking is very expensive nearby, but everything is expensive in LA
- Kathleen (10/5): Exceptional - Love the property. The owner is a really cool guy. The building is quiet, great access to many stores, food places etc. to go to.
- Kathleen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Melissa (5/5): Passable - Safety
- Aliyah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emmanuel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sonam (9/5): Superb -
- Kenneth (1/5): It was horrible. I needed 4 different lock codes to get to my room. - 2 blocks away was an amazing restaurant the owner recommended to me. I had dinner there ? every night. Terrible aea / not safe . Drugs use and homelessness just outside the building. People yelling and screaming outside the building all night long. Had to close my windows. No fresh air. Lobby looks like a low end garage sale. Lobby stinks from spoiled food . There's a small restaurant connected to the the lobby. Terrible/ stale oder.
No attendant from 6pm until 10 am the next day. The owner trying to hustle me not to book on web sights and pay him in cash. He wanted me to pay more than what I booked the rooms for . No coffee in the room or in the lobby. This place needs to be shut down.
- Javier (9/5): Superb - Affordable and for the price very nice amenities such as WiFi tv ac microwave
- Vianey (7/5): Good -
- Cristian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rajanikant (5/5): Passable -
- Adriana (9/5): Great secret cool spot in the heart of DTLA - We liked that it did not feel like a hotel. It felt like a home away from home. We loved the unspoken feeling about the place. It was also it the center of downtown so everything was walking distance away. The room we ere given, which was lovely, had a very strong smoke odor. We had to leave the windows open for a while to let the smell out.
- Adriano (1/5): Don’t recommend - The staff opened my door I was completely naked and the lady just stood there looking at me naked I had to tell the lady to leave and close my door I told the owner what happened and he didn’t care he promised a late check out so I reminded him the night before check out and then the he wanted to charged me so I could get a late checkout I definitely don’t recommend The staff opened my door I was completely naked and the lady just stood there looking at me naked I had to tell the lady to leave and close my door I told the owner what happened and he didn’t care he promised a late check out so I reminded him the night before check out and then the he wanted to charged me so I could get a late checkout I definitely don’t recommend
- Anton (8/5): Very good -
- James (5/5): Would not stay here again. - Location. Close to theater but very unsafe area. Room was very dark. No wall mirrors. Very noisy until 2:00am. Lumpy bed.
- Rodney (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lorraine (10/5): We will stay again next trip. - Location was within walking distance of concert we attended. Off-site but very close parking was great. Excellent staff!
- Sandra (1/5): Horrible experience - Our experience at the Audemar Boutique Hotel was nothing short of disappointing and unprofessional. Check-in was scheduled for 3 PM, but after a 3-hour drive from San Diego, we arrived at 3:41 PM only to be informed by the front desk (who happened to be the co-owner) that our room was not ready. The previous guest had checked out late, leaving the room in such a mess that it still needed cleaning. We were told it would take another 30 minutes to prepare the room, so we decided to wait in the lobby. Although the front desk man was polite and apologetic, our patience began to wear thin after waiting for an hour. Finally, at 4:45 PM—nearly two hours after the promised check-in time—we were told the room was ready. The front desk man explained that the delay was due to the previous guest leaving the room in such a terrible state that even clothes had to be removed. He mentioned, “This is what happens when you let your friends stay,” which felt more like an excuse than a professional explanation. As we gathered our luggage, the situation got worse. The front desk man suddenly informed us that the room actually wasn’t ready, as the housekeeper had discovered more mess, including a dirty mini-fridge that needed to be removed. Frustrated by the ongoing delays, I suggested that some sort of compensation was warranted, considering it was now two hours past check-in and my card had already been charged days earlier. The front desk man said he would need to call his partner to authorize a discount, and that’s when things really went downhill. The so-called “owner” arrived with an extremely rude and dismissive attitude. Instead of apologizing, he questioned why we even wanted a discount. When I explained that we’d been waiting for over an hour past check-in and that the room was still not ready, he responded by saying he was already “losing money” because I had booked the room through Booking.com. How was this my problem? Things escalated when he suggested he could refund the entire amount and have us leave. Where exactly was I supposed to go? I had an event across the street and had already wasted valuable time waiting in their lobby. I had no time to find another hotel. I simply asked for a fair resolution, but his lack of accountability and unwillingness to accept even the smallest amount of responsibility was astounding. Honestly, if he had approached us with a bit of courtesy or a simple apology, I would have accepted a small gesture—something as minor as a $10 discount. By this point, it became clear that the owner cared more about his bottom line than offering basic customer service. Begrudgingly, we went up to our room only to find that it still wasn’t properly cleaned. The housekeeper was still mopping, and they had to remove the filthy mini-fridge that was left in such a state that for the rest of the night, we dealt with a swarm of gnats. The room was clearly in terrible condition, and having worked in the hotel industry myself, I know that if it takes over an hour to clean a room, it must have been in a horrendous state. This entire experience was a masterclass in poor management, unprofessionalism, and terrible customer service. The lack of accountability from the ownership was shocking. I would strongly advise against staying at the Audemar Boutique Hotel—this level of incompetence simply isn’t worth it. Honestly, even a Motel 6 would have provided a better experience, and they at least “leave the light on
- Nicolette (10/5): The staff was very friendly. Even offered to let me use their charger for the night. Since I I left mine in the car. - It was a really cute place to stay at. I really dislike street parking
- Wesley (7/5): A decent room for rent if you are there for a single night - The room had a decent size and it had a proper shower cabin which many places in the US don’t have. The owner was nice to give us some tips on where to eat and where to go. It didn’t really feel like a hotel. It felt more like I was renting a room without any form of service which you could expect from a hotel at the given price point. For example: we had to park our car somewhere but there is almost no help offered to take care of this (eventually I found a decent parking space using ParkHero one block away; 24/7 in-out and guaranteed parking spot). We had a room for 4 days and it wasn’t cleaned once. When we entered the room and checked for bed bugs around the bed, we found two pairs of panties from previous guests. Communication with the owners is done using messaging (WhatsApp for example) and it’s rarely the case someone is behind the counter of the hotel. To enter the hotel and your room, you use 4-digit codes. The room had airconditioning which is nice, although it would be good if they would fix the holes in the wall around it. It sounds like windows are opened when you are trying to sleep! Also the beds are comfortable to sleep in if you are alone. Otherwise you feel every single movement of your significant other :-).
- Theo (10/5): Pleasant stay - The place had 2 carparks near it, which meant we had choice! It was also close to a lot of cool bars. The owner was very friendly and came with me to check out the room, make sure everything was ok and give instructions on how to lock and unlock everything. The place had very comfy beds, tasteful furniture & decor, and was clean. Couldn't hear much, if anything, of the outside. No complaints! None I could think of directly related to the apartment. There were unhoused folks nearby, but that seems to occur in a lot of LA. Plus the entrance to the apartment had a security guard.
- Luis (3/5): A place to avoid - Staff was kind during my check-in. It was a bad experience. People sleeping in the next room was partying all night until 4.20am with loud music, I tried to contact reception but just got an answer on the next morning. There is nobody in the reception during the night.
I found a scarab in the bathroom and a small spider in the room.
The air conditioning is noisy and against the bed. If we close the curtain it covers the air conditioning, so we can't have the air conditioning on with the curtain closed to avoid sunlight.
The waterfall shower has no pressure enough.
- Gregory (8/5): Very good -
- Sagba (8/5): Very good - Nice decor comfy beds friendly staff Coffee facilities would have been nice :) very thin walls so u can hear people walking past your room
- Rebecca (4/5): Disappointing -
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sabine (3/5): Poor -
- Robert (10/5): Id stay again, 8/10 overall. - Employees were helpful. I liked having the security gates at the front entrance, codes provided for late night use. AC worked nicely, plenty to watch on TV. Beds are comfy and the Puerto Rican restaurant downstairs smelled delicious. Food options within a few blocks, Cafe across the street and a liquor store next door. Website listed parking available and there is none onsite, overnight parking is available for $20 on either side of the roads across from the hotel. Wood floors in the hallway makes your shoes squeak as you walk by rooms, while it wouldnt be too bad there's a small gap under the doors where light and noise let's itself in.
- Alex (1/5): Horrible - Horrible Horrible employees
- Gabriela (1/5): Bad -
- Lydia (10/5): Cute comfy clean concise ! - Awesome easy access central location to DTLA clean! Coffee place across the street that’s totally chill,
Everyone made everything seamlessly easy to enter and exit :) minus me dropping my glass water bottle inside the foyer as I opened the last door to exit the property … The lamp by the bed was missing its knob or something I couldn’t turn it on so our evening was dimly lit but i only came to sleep anyway so it wasn’t a bother
- Noelia (8/5): Very good -
