- Wendy (1/5): A disappointing mess. - I booked to stay Oct 2025. I do like 5 star but have back packed around the world up to my mid 40’s and love rustic rural. I was shocked by this place. Entering through the two broken down farm gates was more like a scene from Deliverence . Piles of old furniture , corrugated metal and other farm debris. The drive in was terrible rutted. The weeds around the actual cabin doorway were 2 feet high. Large cobwebs obscured the windows. Inside the trim on kitchen cabinets hanging off. Mould on the ceiling . The bed looked like someone had been dancing all over it. No key. Outside was very unkept, an aluminium ladder was how you got down to the fast flowing river ( not good on your own) the property owner sounded lovely when I eventually got hold of him. I decided not to stay as it was so bad . Trying to organise a refund was frustrating going between the property owner/Tiny Away/Booking.com I was looking forward to a nice quiet get away relaxing by the river reading a book but, sorry to say, it was a mess. 😢
