• Olzhas B. (10/5): - I have a previous experience of staying here several years ago. This time everything was good as last time. Male bathroom was very dirty first couple days: cigarette ashes in the shower room, dirty mirror, broken toilet flush and full toilet bin. But everything was cleaned and fixed after I told reception. So, rest of the week everything was fine. Thank you for that.

• Mite (8/5): Good value for the price. - Room was big, comfortable and clean. There is staff 24/7, so if you need anything they are very helpful. You can prepare tea and coffee in the room because it has everything you need. Good location with 10 minutes walking away from the city center. Showers were in pretty bad condition. Mold at the floor, curtains instead of doors, with one door leading to the showers and toilets, without lock. There werent lockers in the room and there wasnt AC in the room so I don't recommend going there during summer.

• Frank (9/5): - Freundliche Aufnahme, stabiles wlan, bequemes Bett, sauber und gepflegt, tägliche Reinigung, Pantryküche, saubere moderne Duschen, moderne WC, super location, direkt in der City über dem Basar. Wichtig bei Anreise beachten Busterminal und Bahnhof sind jeweils 4km vom Hostel entfernt. Bus ist NUR cashless, man braucht eine Magnetkarte, gibts nur in der Post Gerne sofort wieder. Eigentlich alles gut, aber die Gäste und Personal nutzen der Vorraum derMänner Dusche als Raucherecke. Da im Land fast alle rauchen, war beim duschen immer jemand mit Kippe neben mir. Ist geschmackssache.

• Nora (9/5): - It's a convenient hostel, very clean and comfortable, with friendly and helpful staff. No one speaks English, but communication with Google Translate works well. The female dorm is spacious with individual beds, and ladies have their own shower room and toilet. A hairdryer is in the bathroom, and towels are provided. There's a fridge, a few plates and cutlery in the hallway, and dorm rooms are provided with a kettle and cups. The shower/toilet room gives off a bad odour, but I find that is the usual case in hostels here, possibly due to old sewage or drainage systems. There's a long hallway, not really a place for socialising, as the tables for dining are inside the dorm rooms.

• Marco (4/5): - Staff qui parle peu anglais mais qui essaie toujours d'aider malgré l'air nonchalant qu'ils donnent. Bon emplacement Chambres spacieuses et relativement confortables, avec un inconvénient vue que la fumée peut parfois entrer étant donné qu'il est autorisé de fumer dans les toilettes en commun (fou!) et le couloir. Cet endroit pourrait être très bien, mais le fait d'autoriser de fumer dans les toilettes en commun (beaucoup des clients le font et je présume aussi le staff) est une aberration!!! Cela ruine tout, car la fumée se diffuse dans les couloirs et parfois même les chambres, ce qui rend le lieu pas du tout agréable. C'est dégoûtant en plus d'être mauvais pour la santé. On entend un peu le bruit de la route.

• Naoki (9/5): 街の散策に便利な立地 - ・一度場所が分かれば非常に便利な立地にある ・部屋を変えてほしいとお願いしたらすぐに対応してくれた柔軟さがあった ・スタッフが丁寧で臨機応変に対応してくれた ・ベッドに仕切りはないものの一人あたりの空間が広く快適だった ・下に夜遅くまで営業しているスーパーがあり便利だった ・街の中心部にあるため移動が楽だった ・クレカ決済可能 ・最初に入り口が分かりにくかった。自動ドアは手動で開閉する場合がある ・電気が全体で2つしかなく共有せざるを得なかった ・ロッカーは小さいながらあるものの、鍵がついてなかったり機能してなかった
• Mei (9/5): - 位置很好，房间超大，空调舒适，干净卫生 公共卫生间里的淋浴间不是门是拉帘，不能关门上锁，里面也没有挂钩挂脱下的衣服，挂钩在淋浴间的外面，距离淋浴间有一定的距离。之所以在意这个细节，是因为第一天晚上没敢淋浴。下午回来进女卫生间的时候，一个男人正在女卫生间里脱衣服进去淋浴，吓得我立刻退了出来。告诉了旅店的店员，他只是说知道了。晚饭后刷牙时，一个男人又再次进了女卫生间，我立刻进行了制止，让他出来，指给他看女卫生间的牌子，不确定他是不是之前进女卫生间的那个男人。当我把这件事再次告诉店员时，很奇怪店员坚决说不可能，我说卫生间门口上方有监控摄像头，你去看监控好了。当天晚上我没敢淋浴，好怕正在淋浴的时候会有男人进来。还好第二天之后没再发生这种吓人的事情。
• Andreas (8/5): - The rooms are very big and there are no bunk beds. Each bed has a nightstand and a little cupboard. A kettle and tea are available in the room. Showers and bathrooms are relatively clean. A small kitchen with a fridge is located in the hallway. It's only a 10 minutes walk to the town hall and philharmonic hall. No complaints.

I told them that this is not our fault and the hostel should find another place for us and at the end, they directed us to another place which was terrible. • Janne (10/5): Exceptional - It was super clean, the staff was friendly and gave me a room all to myself. There was a lock on the door which was great! Really safe, big and nice hostel! Location is also very good! Nothing!
• Tony (8/5): It gets the job done. - The hostel is on the second floor of a mall. The rooms are large, toilets are clean and the kitchen is very small. There’s no stove just a microwave. There’s no common area to talk to the other travelers. The staff don’t speak much English and don’t really engage with you.

• Jack (6/5): Pleasant - Staff were very friendly and helped organise a trip out to Lake Göygöl. The rooms were very spacious. The mattresses were not at all comfortable. There were no communal spaces.
• Rohana (9/5): It's a centrally located with value for money. - The hostel is located close to Ganja Mall (walking distance) in the centre of the city. It has good staff members (Kanan, Farid & Parmin - I hope spellings are correct). Rooms are spacious with wi-fi. It is better to have a fully equipped kitchen in a room not in the passage way.

• Tabea (10/5): Beautiful place. - The staff is really friendly and very helpfull with any questions I had. I really liked this place and extended my stay. The room is beautiful and very clean. The city Ganja is interesting, there is a lot to see. The location of the hostel is very central.
• Elsa (7/5): Good - Clean. Friendly and accommodating staff (doesn't speak much English). Big room, with big dinning table. Good location. The kitchen is rather small but access to fridge and microwave. The mattress was painfully uncomfortable - the springs poked right on your body.
• Atul (5/5): Except the bed/ matress, everything is very good. - Rooms are really large and linens and towels are absolutely clean. Staff is cooperative...but are helpless. The matress on the bed is the worst i have ever found in any hostel. There is no cushion at all....only springs. The springs compact as soon as you sleep or sit on the bed. It was very bad sleep. However it will be unjust on my part if i do not mention that on my insistance, the staff couln't or didn't help me resolve my real issue, but were kind enough to refund me 50% of my money due to poor quality of beds.

• Mariana (7/5): Good - 1. the staff was helpful and friendly (I had a problem in the dorm that I was in my first night and they moved me to a private room with no extra charge); 2. the facilities were clean; 3. well located; 1. the beds are super umconfortable, I could feel every single spring of the mattress; 2. there are no locks and no individual lights; 3. in the dorm you don’t get a key only for you, so the bedroom stays pretty much open the whole time; 4. the whole hostel smells like cigarettes. Even though, there are lots of signs of “dont smoke” I saw the own staff smoking at the male bathroom; 5. I booked a female dorm with 5 beds, in the first night arrived a family with a man, 2 female woman and kid (girl), super uncomfortable. However, the staff moved me at 2 in the morning.

• Rebecca (9/5): Great budget option in Ganja. - For a budget stay, this hotel/hostel is fabulous. Shared bathrooms are super clean with lovely showers, shared kitchen was useful, the hostel felt very secure and private. Location is also ideal. The access was confusing, also be mindful if you have heavy bags there are quite a few steps to climb (although there is also an escalator to take you part way up). One morning there was an issue with the wifi so no wifi, however this was resolved.

• Mansour (10/5): Exceptional - I stayed here for one night and absolutely loved the experience! The location is fantastic, just a 5-minute walk to the city center and right next to a shopping mall, where you can find everything you need. The reception guy during the day was amazing and super helpful—I can’t remember his name, but he definitely deserves 5 stars! The place isn’t fancy, but it’s clean, simple, and perfect for solo travelers on a budget. Great value for the price!

• Tamiki (8/5): Not bad - The location is good. You can go to the center by walk. The bed is clean and comfortable. The room is big enough for 4 people. There were some points I didn't like, but I know I cannot be demanding with this price. There is a kitchen facility but there is no place to eat. So I had to eat my breakfast on my bed which was uncomfortable for me. The WiFi speed was extremely slow. They didn't offer the laundry service. So I had to wash my clothes by hand. If they had a common space, it would be great.
• Marcin (9/5): Good place for excellent price - This is nice and quiet hostel located in the... shopping mall, on the first floor. Rooms are extremely spacious and only 4 beds in each room, no bunk beds inside. Equipment is new, WiFi working very well. No noise inside despite the location in the noisy street with many shops and quite big traffic. Everything is clean and the price was excellent comparing to standard. Within 10 mins walk you can get to the city center, main streets with nice bars, cafes and restaurants. On the groundfloor, there is big supermarket open till late evening. Very little bathroom given the number of available beds, in the morning there were queues to take shower. Also, bathroom is at the end of corridor, quite far from my room.

• Aamir (8/5): Overall, a good option for a quick and affordable stay in Ganja! - Qala Hostel offers a convenient location with clean and comfortable rooms. Ideal for budget travelers. The hostel allows late check-in, which can be disruptive at night for some. The location near the highway can be noisy. Bathrooms have only curtains for privacy, which might not be ideal for everyone.
• Acheuteiene (8/5): Very good - Good location, nice bedrooms, it was clean and one of the members of the staff spoke good English and was very helpful. Also, providing drinking water is a very good idea. They should not allow people to smoke in the shower/toilets. And the kitchen could be more equipped.
• Sabi (9/5): Impressive space. No complaints. - Huge female dorm... twin comfy beds..so was a nice surprise. Central AC and microwave a+ Door doesn't lock well.
• Olzhas (10/5): Highly recommend Qala Hostel Ganja! - Qala Hostel Ganja has the following advantages: 1) Young gentleman at the reception was very helpful and customer oriented. 2) Central location, close to everything. 3) Room: I was provided the room I booked. Pictures of my room pictures and common places match with pictures in the booking com. I liked that room is large and airy. But you have to be aware that there is no privacy in the room. 4) Tea stand in the room: It was very cool to have a tea stand in the room with electric kettle, mugs, napkin and sugar. I was able to have a tea in my bed. There is a separate kitchenette in the hallway. 5) Two towels for each traveler (small one for face, big one for body) were provided by hostel, which was great as I didn’t bring my own towel. 6) Air conditioner and wi-fi worked in the room. Wi-Fi password and poster of sightseeing places can be found in the room. 7) Good public transportation/taxi system around the hostel. Easy to get a taxi and travel somewhere in the city. 8) Grocery store/supermarket and money exchange office are located in the same building where hostel is, just different entrance. Hostel has own escalator which is fantastic and helpful when I are tired after sightseeing. 9) There is a river and a bridge near the hostel. It was nice to walk along the river every night. Sightseeing places I visited: 1) Flag square and promenade boulevard along the river: Hostel is located opposite to the flag square in other side of the river. It is just 5 minutes of walking distance from the hostel. When I was lost, I told local people “Flag square” and they showed me directions. 2) Main square with government office: 10-15 minutes of walking distance from the hostel. 3) Chokak hamam mosque: 15-20 minutes of walking distance from the hostel. 4) Shah Abbas mosque: 15-20 minutes of walking distance from the hostel. 5) Shah Abbas Caravan serai: 10-15 minutes of walking distance from the hostel. 6) Khan’s garden: 20-25 minutes of walking distance from the hostel. 1) It would be great to have a big wall mirror in the room. I saw big mirror in the hallway and bathroom. But I would like to check out myself when I am dressed and ready to leave the room.
• Anthony (7/5): Good - The place is clean, the staff were okay, and the location is perfect. For the price, it offers good value There is no kitchen to prepare food, and the showers are small with curtains instead of doors, so they cannot be locked.

They offer water and tea for free. Staff was very friendly. It’s little bit confusing to find, but be sure that someone on the street will ask you, if you look for the hostel.

Spacious rooms with a kettle and free tea and water, free towels and slippers. Clean bathrooms and shower rooms with hot water. Helpful staff. Some local guests who don't understand hostel culture and rules.

Very very large rooms. With towels. Free tea. Electric kettle. Small kitchen facility. Even free drinking water which i did not find anywhere. Cooperative staff. Communication in English is little issue as all staff do not know it. Will definitely stay again.
