Guest Reviews
- Seamus (9/5): A three night stay close to the heart of town that was made very enjoyable with the excellent accomodation and friendly - The bedrooms were very comfortable. The rest of the house was cozy and well equipped. Not a lot.
- Shirelle (10/5): Was good value for money and centrally located within walking distance of the blues train - Quiet and close to everything, clean and cosy The couch is very uncomfortable but otherwise good for 2 couples to stay in comfort
- Michelle (7/5): - Location great, comfortable bedding, great garden, nice that some toiletries provided, ample toilet paper and gladwrap/foil. Easy access and ample parking with good sensor lighting. It's not as clean considering $125 cleaning fee charged, floor-window sills-top of fridge all dusty, high cobwebs, no broom in unit and minimal cleaning products. No key to lock security door. Not enough teaspoons, no normal knives or a large serrated bread knife, no flannels provided with linen, no hanging space in 1 bedroom, no extra garbage bags or tea towels then found in laundry by chance as not under sink. Water leftover in coffee maker and kettle from prior users.

- Maria (9/5): Quaint cottage with amazing fruit and vegetable garden. - Location was excellent, walking distance to the shops, bowls club and beach. The cottage was compact but spotlessly clean and comfortable. I particularly liked exploring the wonderful backyard which was full of herb gardens and fruit trees. The furnishings could be more thoughtful, and there are no light fittings, just light globes. Just small touches that could give the cottage extra warmth.
- Wendy (10/5): Lovely clean unit with everything we needed for our stay. - The location. This place was spotless. It was nice to meet and chat the owners and tour their amazing veggie garden
- Richard (7/5): - Light bulbs and lamps not working in main room.
- Irene (10/5): -
- Andrew (10/5): -
- Sudarshan (8/5): Absolutely great property and will come back - Location was great and very close to amenities and town A bit tight side access to get to the property
- Bruce (7/5): -
- Linda (10/5): Enjoyable - The location No dryer
- Sheila (7/5): Close vicinity to the town and various cafes is an absolute bonus. It served our needs but limited space impacted on our - Close to Queenscliff shops etc. very clean, kitchen well equipped. Great shower. Bed comfortable. Reasonably priced. Pet friendly and quiet. There was not a lot of room in general and for storage eg food and clothing - as it was winter and a few very wintry days, using the outdoor area was not an option. The indoor sitting area is very limited and not pictured well in the photos - in that sense, it was not very comfortable for sitting reading, relaxing, viewing TV. Glad we didn’t ask a friend down for a night. Without the outdoor area, it is very much a ‘granny flat’.
Would have benefitted from a bit more of an information sheet about the house - it took us awhile to find the WIFI info and we never found the washing machine! As I have some vision issues, navigating the various steps would have been easier for me if they had ‘vision strips’.
- Iain (7/5): Central Queenscliff granny flat. Adjustments needed to make the property comfortable. - Location was great. On a quiet street and only a short walk away from the Queenscliff main street and walking distance to the beach.
A cheap option for being in the centre of Queenscliff.
The walls appear to have been freshly painted in a nice colour.
The keys in the lock box made arrival and key drop off very convenient.
Most of the basic cooking appliances were there for cooking a meal and tea / coffee and a few small refreshments provided.
A few nice games for kids in the cupboards. Some privacy issues due to this property being a granny flat. Even though an outdoor area is advertised, it is shared with the main house. The owners live on the front property so the back of their house looks out onto the shared outdoor space and is very close to the granny flat.
The privacy curtain rail in the granny flat is also broken so falls down easily.
Mattresses were too hard so we slept poorly.
No wardrobes in rooms / very minimal hanging space.
The stove is very old but still functional.
The bathroom (with toilet) is very small and right off the kitchen.
Blank walls and no shades over the lightbulbs. Really could do with some pictures on the walls and lamps to add some holiday cheer.
- Avalonnw (10/5): Exceptional - Nice, clean, quiet. Amazing location! A bit far from Melbourne but that was expected.
- Philip (9/5): Superb -
- Lorella (8/5): Great location and very comfortable - Loved the location and that we were able to bring our dog The facilities were also great Had everything you needed even a coffee machine Lack of privacy Knew it was a cottage behind someone’s house but didn’t realise it was so close to the other house and that the garden was shared
- Brett (10/5): The hosts treated us like family, exceptionally clean, pet friendly, impressive veggie garden - Pet friendly, exceptionally clean, all provisions + more, one block from Main Street, 2 blocks to the beach, the hosts were extremely warm and inviting offering fresh produce from their garden. If you wanted a more private stay be aware you are staying at the back of their house and have shared outside areas. nil
- Karen (10/5): 2 girls and a dog - Convenient location close to cafes, restaurants and shops. The hosts were in the main house, they were lovely hospitable people and very generous with their company and the produce from their garden. Nothing
- Leanne (9/5): We enjoyed our night in the guest house. It was very cozy. You can feel its been well cared for. - The guest house was lovely and clean. The hosts were very sweet. It has everything you need for your stay. The gardens were very well groomed. We only stayed one night so didn't get time to explore. The location is convenient to the main street in Queenscliff. Just a short walk to cafes and shops. We briefly met the hosts who seem like a lovely couple.
Sorry i didn't get photos of the accommodation. With 3 older women the only issue was the one toilet. ( older bladders)
- Kay (8/5): Great little place for a short stay in beautiful historic Queenscliff - The cottage was in a great location, very quiet but only a few minutes walk to the main street. It was comfortable and very clean, perfect for a couple or 2 single adults (like us). We really appreciated the complimentary snacks and drinks. It's fairly compact, small bathroom and kitchen, lounge, dining area, and is a separate cottage behind the main house, but we didn't mind that at all. It has streaming services including Netflix which we really appreciated, not all properties have it. I would be happy to return with husband and dog! Light shade in the lounge and bedrooms would have looked better
- Jacob (7/5): Good - Close to shops Uncomfortable beds and tiny bathroom
- Sarah (9/5): Fantastic location - Fantastic location. Clean and well stocked with everything we needed.
- Jennifer (8/5): Very good -
- Dorothy (9/5): We look forward to staying there again. - Pleasant, quiet and comfortable place to stay with very friendly, personable and generous hosts.
- Charlie (4/5): Great location, but not a place I would consider again - Location Tucked behind the main house it is small and felt cramped with minimal places for suitcases in the very small bedrooms .
Nice linen and towels.
- Sonia (10/5): A really good couple of days - Very friendly owners and great location. Nothing all good
- Sarah (8/5): Very good -
- David (7/5): Great for a night. - Good central location in walking distance to everything in Queenscliff. Nice complimentary soft drinks and lollies! A bit tight and no real place to sit and relax.
- Ann-maree (10/5): A quaint stay in Queenscliff - Closeness to town: shops, cafes, beach, gallwries Couldn't figure out how to operate the oven
- Peter (9/5): Comfortable, clean and great location. Met expectations. -
- Andrew (8/5): Very good - Great location, close to town centre . Cafes and shops close by and an easy walk to most sights in town. The guest house is well equipped and very cosy.. enjoyed our stay everything was great
- Karen (9/5): Such a terrific quiet location and facilities - Very comfy beds and hospitality from the owners. Access to clothes washing machine
- Jessica (10/5): I love it and if one day I come back Queenscliff I will re-book this guesthouse again. Thank you - Well-equiped with all necessary facilities. The backyard is very convenient with table and chairs for eating outdoor. The hosts were very kind and friendly, they gave us some home grown veggies and home made wine. We felt very warm like at home. N/A
- Lainey (10/5): Beautiful …with easy walk to ‘the Blues Train’ & all that Queenscliff had to offer - This Gorgeous granny flat catered to our every need ..well stocked kitchen, beautiful clean linen on super ‘comfy beds’ ….
The backyard is a vege gardeners paradise 💕…& the hosts were magnificent hospitable people. NA
- Natasha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amy (9/5): The location is great, walking distance to main street & beaches, but in a quiet street. - The location was great, walking distance to main street & beaches.
The outdoor area & garden were wonderful. We enjoyed chatting to the host about his amazing veggie garden.
The beds were super comfortable.
- Maresa (9/5): Superb - Great location, walking distance to everything. The family in the main house were accommodating and so kind. Fully equipped with everything we could need. Nothing at all. All
- Rachael (8/5): Very good - Clean, comfortable accommodation in Queenscliff. Very friendly and helpful hosts The listing wasn’t very clear, this is a guest house immediately at the back of the cottage pictured.
- Honnie (10/5): A perfect little get away! - I loved the location and cleanliness, both get 10 out of 10! Willingness to please by hosts also 10 out of 10! My husband commented continually on the cleanliness of the place and how exceptional the vegetable garden was. We vacations with our cocker spaniel which was also an added bonus. The complimentary bits and bobs were a lovely touch and very unexpected. Peace and quiet when sleeping at night, and beds are comfy. Kitchen has everything you need to cook a simple meal in the accommodation or the town is a short walk which has ample eateries to choose from. There is not much to dislike about staying here. It is just great. Maybe a bit of a booklet explaining how things work, especially the oven, as it was different from the one at home and had a few tricks to turn it on and off. That would be all...
- Sarah (8/5): Very good -
- Ros (8/5): Very good - It was a very cosy, welcoming cottage in a great location. Easy to walk everywhere. Kind hosts.
- Jo (7/5): Very good - Very clean and tidy Bit small but it was ok
- Christine (10/5): Comfortable - It was clean and unique We didn’t realise it was at the back of the house
- Sue (9/5): Overall very good - Great location absolutely gorgeous garden The seating very uncomfortable
- Terry (8/5): Very good - Hosts were really lovely. Very helpful and hospitable. :) B
- Wendy (10/5): We loved our stay and would go back. - We liked the cleanliness of the cottage. They supplied enough bits and pieces to make us feel very comfortable. There were only a couple of things to suggest. They were a full length mirror would have been nice and we had a little trouble lighting the oven, maybe put some instructions with it.
