• Michael (10/5): Pura Vida - Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Für mich vom Preis Leistungsverhältnis mit das Beste in diesem Urlaub.
• Michael (3/5): Vollkommen ignorant gegenüber Kunden. Die mit Abstand schlechteste Unterkunft unserer dreiwöchigen Reise. Nicht buchen!! - Der Pool und die Nähe zum Strand. Absprachen zum Frühstück würden nicht eingehalten. Frühstück ist auf das Zeitfenster von 8-10 Uhr begrenzt. Es musste ein Zeitfenster in 15 min schritten gewählt werden, die sich mit niemandem überschreiten. Ein Angebot für eine Box, die uns ein früheres Frühstück ermöglicht hätte, wurde zugesichert aber nicht umgesetzt. Javier sagte mit einem Lächeln im Gesicht das deine Mitarbeitenden bereits im Feierabend sind. Er könne nichts ändern. Sägearbeiten am Samstag und in der folgenden Woche. Ab morgens um 6 Uhr bis abends nach 22Uhr Mittags schleichen Leute über die geschotterten Wege ums Haus. Übergriffiges Neuanordnen privater Gegenstände durch den Zimmerservice.
• Renninger (10/5): - Sehr familiär geführt, sehr sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal, das auf alle unsere Wünsche eingegangen ist. Die Lage ist super, nur wenige Schritte zu einem menschenleeren Strand, wo es sogar noch Liegen und Stühle gibt. Das Frühstück ist hervorragend. Für Tierbeobachtungen muss man nicht weit gehen, in der Frühe klappt das sogar von der Terrasse aus. Unsere Lodge war direkt gegenüber dem Empfang, so dass man sich immer etwas beobachtet fühlt.

• Magalie (9/5): Prachtig verblijf middenin de jungle! - De accommodatie was rustig gelegen waardoor je geen last had van geluid. Je hoorde de vogeltjes fluiten. Zeer mooi aangelegde tuin aan het zwembad, heel gezellig om er te vertoeven. Alles was proper, gezellig ingericht en van alle gemakken voorzien. Niets op aan te merken, alles was naar wens!

Nettes Personal, das alles top in Schuss und sauber hält. Kleine Siebträger Kaffemaschine mit mehr Kaffee als man trinken kann im Zimmer. Ausreichend ausgestattete Küche im Zimmer. Parkplatz direkt vor der Tür. Wir hatten bedenken, dass aufgrund der Spalten an der geschlossenen Tür nachts Tiere in die Wohnung kommen, das war aber nicht der Fall.

• blondelocke (10/5): Toller Aufenthalt im Kanik Apartment - Super nette Gastgeber, saubere und modern eingerichtete Apartments und eine entspannte, ruhige Lage. Besonders der schöne Poolbereich hat uns gefallen. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder. Klare Empfehlung! Einziger kleiner Minuspunkt: Das WLAN war manchmal etwas instabil. Ansonsten war alles wirklich top!

• Marco Jehle-Radkohl (10/5): - Sehr schöne Lage mitten im Wald nur 10 Minuten zu Fuss vom Strand. Sebastian & Javier waren tolle Gastgeber. Die Lodges sind mit allem Nötigen ausgestattet und der Pool ist angenehm erfrischend. Die Lage ist etwas abseits aber mit dem Auto kein Problem. Frühstück wird jeden Tag zur gewünschten Zeit, frisch gemacht auf die eigene kleine Terrasse serviert.

The pool was clean and had towels next to tbe chairs. The monkeys were amazing! Maybe à little more space around the bathroom sink for stuff.

• Georg (10/5): Luxusaufenthalt in der Natur - Das Hotel ist einfach fantastisch. Es liegt fast direkt im Dschungel. Die Apartments sind wunderschön eingerichtet mit einer gut ausgestatteten Küche und sehr schönem Badezimmer. Die kleine Poolanlage ist wunderschön mit den vielen Pflanzen außen herum. Es kann schon mal sein, dass auch ein Frosch mit schwimmt, der wird dann aber zeitnah liebevoll herausgefischt. Zum Meer geht man etwa 5 Minuten. Dort sind dann auch Liegen und Stühle vorhanden. Das tolle Frühstück wird direkt am Apartment serviert. Man wird rundum versorgt.
• REGIS (10/5): Jungle Plage animaux - absolument tout, le personnel au top, l'hébergement est superbe, lieu dans la jungle avec des singes qui passent au dessus de votre tête quasi chaque matin, endroit magnifique, lieu calme, plage je suis sure que c'est quasiment la même que quand les conquistador sont arrivée, on traverse un petit bout de jungle et la vue s'ouvre sur la mer vraiment féérique. C'est la deuxième fois que j'y reviens et j'ai autant aimé ... Ben rien ....

• Johanna (10/5): Perfekter, ruhiger Ort für den Start oder den Abschluss einer Costa Rica Reise - Die Unterkunft ist super schön eingerichtet und sehr ruhig. Sebastían & Javier sind super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel liegt am Rande eines Nationalparks in einer sehr ruhigen Gegend. Auf dem kurzen Weg zum Strand (3 Minuten zu Fuß) sind uns wir jeden Tag Affen und Faultiere begegnet. Definitiv eine der schönsten Unterkünfte unserer Reise!

Sebastian und Javier waren unglaublich nett, hilfsbereit und jederzeit ansprechbar. Das Frühstück wurde jeden Tag frisch zubereitet und war richtig lecker. Die Unterkunft liegt mitten in der Natur – wir haben viele Tiere gesehen, was das Erlebnis besonders gemacht hat. Alles ist sehr liebevoll und stilvoll eingerichtet. • Esperanza (10/5): 100% recomendable - Increíble hotel… Es el mejor hotel en el que hemos estado en Costa Rica… Un hotel pequeñito, con mucha intimidad y con mucho encanto. La zona en la que está es muy bonita, al lado de la playa y de Manzanillo. Sebastián y Javier nos recibieron muy bien y el trato fue inmejorable. Además de que la habitación es muy acogedora, la cama es comodísima y tiene de todo. Nos hemos quedado con ganas de pasar más tiempo aquí!!!

El desayuno es a la cara pero bastante abundante, original y muy rico. La playa que tiene cerca no es de las mejores de la zona. Al ser virgen está llena de troncos y algún escombro arrastrado por la marea. Aunque por otra parte en esta playa es donde vimos de más cerca a los perezosos en el viaje.

Sta - We loved the location as it was out of the bustle of town and being set right in the jungle is amazing. • Heike (10/5): Wunderbare, tolle Anlage - Absolut schöne, kleine und ruhige Anlage mit Pool und schönem Garten. Die Pflanzen sind so geschickt gepflanzt, dass jedes Haus einen Sichtschutz hat. Das Frühstück war einfach unglaublich lecker. Das Madame Toast ist der Hammer! Gut ist auch, dass man seine Wäsche dort waschen und trocknen lassen kann. Ausserdem sind Sebastian und Xavier unglaublich hilfsbereit, wenn es darum geht, im Garten abends Frösche zu suchen.

Sebastian und Xavier sind tolle Ansprechenpartner und auch total behilflich (z.B. beim Frösche suchen im Garten). Super war auch die Möglichkeit, unsere Wäsche einmal waschen und trocknen zu lassen.

Great to hear monkeys howl in the morning. Coffee maker and free coffee were really good. Breakfast is okay, a little too sweet for our taste, and we would have loved to have freshly squeezed fruit juice.

• Elke (9/5): Schöne Anlage in Strandnähe - Die Anlage ist sehr schön gestaltet. Das Highlight ist der Pool. Das gute Frühstück wurde jeden Morgen an das Häuschen gebracht. Der in der Nähe gelegene Strand ist wunderschön. Die Anlage liegt nicht wirklich am Meer. Man muss mindestens 300m zum Strand laufen. Da bei uns der an die Straße anschließende Weg überschwemmt war, haben wir den Weg über das Hotel genutzt. Dieser ist sehr gut. Das ist alles kein Problem und lohnt sich auf jeden Fall. Aber es sollte auch so angegeben sein. Wenn man das Auto abends nicht benutzen möchte, kann man nur im benachbarten Hotel Mokka essen.

Y esta muy cerca de la playa. Vale mucho la pena y se nota el esfuerzo que se pone. Quizás un poco alejado de todo, pero si vas en coche no hay problema.

• Irene (10/5): Todo un lujo de estancia - Las instalaciones son una pasada, las cabañas están perfectamente equipadas y son muy acogedoras, y la piscina en el centro es un puntazo. Los desayunos son una maravilla y todo el personal es amabilísimo. Está ubicado en medio de la naturaleza, en una zona alejada del bullicio de Puerto Viejo y donde puedes descansar mientras ves a los monos en los árboles. Simplemente una pasada de lugar. ¡No hubo nada que no nos gustara!

Een geweldige plek in een wat kalmer deel van het gebied, waardoor de dieren waar je in de parken naar op zoek gaat gewoon in de tuin de spotten zijn. Deze prachtige tuin is een werkelijke oase, met een heerlijk zwembad. Daarnaast is het waanzinnige mooie strand op 5 minuten lopen. De huisjes waar je verblijft zijn echt pareltjes. Maar ook het ontvangst en de verzorging was echt geweldig. Het ontvangst is super hartelijk en aan alles is gedacht: gekoeld water de hele dag beschikbaar, heerlijk geurende handzeep en douchegel in de badkamer, een koffie machine in de kamer, en de huisjes worden super goed schoongemaakt. En dat alles in een omgeving waar je stil van wordt. Zoals gezegd: in onze absolute top!! Niets

Ik heb ook lekker gezwommen in het zwembad en bij het mooie strand op 5 minuten lopen, staan ook stoelen van het hotel om op te liggen. Het personeel is heel vriendelijk en staan paraat om te helpen. Nice and comfortable size of the apartment. Really nice breakfast! Short walk to the beach. The immediate surrounding doesn't have much to offer apart from the beach itself, thus a car or bike is helpful. The public path to the beach was muddy when we were there and rather overgrown. The hotel felt a little bit cramped since the lot is not very large. But they managed to make it very pretty and there are plants between the apartments that ensure privacy.

Plenty of towels for pool or beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good everyday and so nice to have it brought to our sitting area. The lighting in the bathroom and bed area could have been brighter, for reading and makeup, but this is not a huge issue.
• Valter (10/5): Exceptional - We liked all of it, breakfast, staff and location. Sebastian was a very nice person and explained everything with details, I highly recommend staying at KAÑIK Hotel.
• Felix (10/5): Exceptional - Best location we stayed at in Costa Rica. We got our best night's sleep here. The manager was so nice and helpful. Sad we just stayed one night. The place is as cozy as it looks.
• Agnes (10/5): Exceptional - We stayed the last days of our journey through Costa Rica at Kanik Apart Hotel and it was great :) The cabins are located in the middle of the jungle and are really cozy. We had a wonderful time.
• Jurriaan (10/5): Superb - Kañik and Sebastian are incredible! A paradise surrounded by nature, very clean and a lot of attention to detail is given by staff. Everything is of very good quality and luxury, from the linnen to the toiletries, furniture. We did not have a car and Sebastian took us one day to the Jaguar centre and called for us to arrange a shuttle. Every day the room and pool and outside is being cleaned thoroughly. The breakfast is amazing, especially sandwich coquette and carribean, fancy. It is easy to move around without a car, bus stop to Puerto Viejo and Cahuita right outside. Shorter rides we used Uber and we walked a lot on the beach both directions, very scenic and quiet. We had the pleasure also to meet Diego, Sebastian’s brother. In the morning you wake up with the sound of nature, howler monkeys and birds. We had some laundry in the morning, it was done in the afternoon. The pool feels very private. You can tell they care about your experience and that you are comfortable. We saw multiple sloths on the beaches by the hotel. Our best memory of one month in Costa Rica, thank you!

Special thanks to the host, Sebastien, who took care of everything. Thank you so much! That we didn’t stay longer and had to leave.
• Hanna (10/5): Exceptional - A lovely bungalow in the middle of the Jungle, within short walking distance from peaceful paradise beach. A delicious breakfast on your own terrace was amazing. Really helpful owner and staff! -
• Aleksandra (10/5): Exceptional - Situated nearby beautiful beach, amongst forest that is full of animals such as monkeys, parrots and sloths. We didn’t even have to go to the national park to actually see them, they were above our heads. Delicious breakfast, fresh fruits, tasty coffee and vegetarian options in the menu. The hotel is located 10 km from Puerto Viejo which is good because there is the sense of omnipresent calmness and relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend! All was good.
• Navid (10/5): Exceptional - Outstanding facilities: A very beautiful place in nature. Modern, clean, extremely comfortable, great pool. Staff: Amazing, friendly staff who were always there to help and support. Food: Great breakfast with good options and flexibility for dietary requirements. Location: Amazing place surrounded by the forest. With an amazing beach within 2 mins walking distance (the most beautiful beach we could find in the area + barely visited by others). 15 mins car ride to Puerto Viejo. Overall outstanding place, worth every penny. Would definitely come back here! 10/10

• Michelle (10/5): Hidden gem in paradise 💕 - This is a 5 star boutique experience in a lush tropical setting. Our room was beautiful ❤️ The bed and pillows so comfortable and I have a bad back. Everything you need for cooking and the best espresso machine! The breakfast was exceptional and we didn't eat till dinner time again. You are only a few minutes to the most beautiful and quiet stretch of beach with your own lounge chairs. There are a few surfers and locals and tourists around. You can walk to Manzanillo and the park . The pool is very nice and refreshing. They have an ice machine and drinkable water available all the time!!! I can't say enough about this hidden gem & hope to return one day. The icing on the cake is Sabestian the manager & keeper whom is so kind and always willing to help💕 Nothing in regards to Kanik💕 If you don't have a car best to bring some food or there is one walkable restaurant Mocha which is excellent.
