• constanza (8/5): Céntrico - Es un hotel céntrico, cumple con las habitaciones, el personal muy normal, tienes restaurant abajo las vistas desde la habitación dan al techo de los restaurant, meterse a la piscina es muy incómodo porque estas a la vista de todos los clientes del restaurant, y el colchon de la habitación no era muy bueno.

La tele, la ducha y el aire funcionan muy bien Lo único q es para tener en cuenta que las habitaciones tienen un balcón que está muy cerca de las otras habitaciones, tenés q tener cerradas las cortinas todo el tiempo.

• Ryan (10/5): Great Hotel and Location - Great location close to all the bars and restaurants so plenty to do on the night. All the tours we did also picked up from this location which was a nice plus. Breakfast is very good and starts early which is good as most of the tours are an early start. You also get a discount for some of the local restaurants if you stay here. The pool is in the restaurant area so more there to view create a nice water feature atmosphere in the restaurant but not really there to use.

• Elisa Beatriz (10/5): La Fortuna - La ubicación es en el centro, frente a la plaza, Alex y Ali los recepcionistas excelentes Los mozos Ronaldo y David muy atentos, mas allá de estar mi habitación sobre el restaurante no era ruidosa, si cambiaría las cortinas qué fueran mas largas y tapen vien las ventanas ya que amanece a las 5,30 am y la luz en mi caso me despierta, .no habia caja de seguridad y al desayuno agregar mermelada ya que era completo pero faltaba ese detalle para los que solo tomamos café con leche y tostadas Lo dicho anteriormente

Wonderful restaurant located inside food is fabulous anytime of day. Very fresh and friendly staff. Cute and quaint If you stay on the front street it is loud from traffic.

• Lucy (5/5): - We appreciated the free cocktail on arrival and the location of the hotel, as it is right in the heart of La Fortuna. The breakfast had a range of options and it was nice to be sat next to the pool (although the pool is quite impractical for swimming as it’s so close to the restaurant). Our room was very small and outdated for the price we paid. We felt that the pictures on booking.com didn’t reflect our experience: the pool and rooms were definitely a lot smaller than the photos showed and it was misleading. There is also very little sound proofing as we could hear the conversation of the people in the room next to us every night. We felt that the reception staff weren’t very helpful as it took us half an hour to try and book a tour. We were sent a document with all the available tours and prices beforehand and these were not honoured. I was told that a 2 hour tour for $35 had changed to $50 for a 1 hour tour so we booked elsewhere.

• Till (8/5): Saubere Unterkunft mit gutem Essen und zentraler Lage. - Die Sauberkeit, die sehr freundlichen Mitarbeiter und das Frühstück. Die Zentrale Lage muss man mögen. Wir hatten leider als Familie ein Zimmer zur Strasse. Das kann recht laut sein.

Everyday we were presented with a beautiful towel decoration on our beds. For my birthday, I received a beautiful card and balloons. The breakfast and lunch were good Rooms were a bit small. We were with 3 and could not maneuver well in the room. However, the beds were comfortable.

Room was cleaned. As we came to celebrate birthday, we even found cute surprise in the room, that is so attentive to the details. Breakfast was amazing, with different options, fresh. Location of hotel - very good. Near all shops and restaurants and atm. So if you are looking to go to La Fortuna, this hotel should be your first option! Thank you!

• Miriam (9/5): Gutes Hotel in sehr guter Lage - Die Lage ist top. Perfekt für Alleinreisende. Gutes Frühstück. Ich hatte ein großes Zimmer und war damit sehr zufrieden. In Costa Rica gibt es wenig Luxus, deshalb darf man hier keinen super Komfort erwarten. Frühstück absolut in Ordnung und die Wasserflasche hab ich mir beim Frühstück aufgefüllt. Supermarkt ganz in der Nähe. Würde wieder hingehen, wenn ich in La Fortuna bin. Tolle Laufstrecken. Wie überall in Costa Rica, besser mit Ohropax schlafen. Pool braucht dieses Hotel nicht.

There was some random trash under the bed, the shower barely worked, and the sink was tiny and would fill up with water if you kept the faucet running for more than 30 seconds.

Riesiger Fernseher aber Bedienung ein Rätsel - hätte ja fragen können, aber war mir nicht so wichtig. Wirkliches Problem ist der Schimmel in der Dusche - das kann auch der schöne Handtuch Schwan nicht ausgleichen

• Laura (10/5): Fantastic - The staff is incredible. Fatima created all sorts of origami out of our towels. We looked forward to seeing the room each afternoon. The desk staff were always available. They were able to set up our different tours. David, Ronaldo and Michael were the best at taking care of us. We did travel with my 81 year old mother. All the staff was so attentive to her needs. Maybe a second small table in the room for 3 people.

• Douglas (9/5): Great location right in the thick of La Fortuna, very comfortable and a great bar, restaurant and staff - Location and facilities were top notch if you want to be in the middle of La Fortuna - the property has a fine restaurant which also does great breakfasts, and a bougie little bar area for pre dinner drinks - cocktails a specialty and bar meals also available We booked two rooms at the same time and ended up at different ends of the hotel, our cleaning and service levels were great but our family’s not so good - not cleaned once in four days. The only other thing to be aware of is road noise which can start rather early in the morning and no dedicated parking if you have a hire car

• DIEGO MARIO (10/5): Gran experiencia - Excelente hotel, en una ubicación excelente. Me salvaron luego de una mala experiencia en otro alojamiento en la ciudad. Habitaciones cómodas, no se escucha el ruido de los bares de abajo. Recomiendo La pileta en medio de las mesas de los bares incomoda un poco. Nada grave igual.

• Julia (8/5): Nice hotel in a good location - The location was fantastic! Right in the center of town across from the park. Everything was clean and the beds were comfortable. The reception was fantastic and they gave us free drinks when we arrived and allowed us to keep our bags with them and use the bathroom since we left after check out. They put us in a handicap room even though that was not what we reserved. The room was on the first floor and we could not open the blinds because everyone could see in. Because it was on the first floor it was also noisy and poorly ventilated. I think it would have been a lot nicer if we were in a different room. The pool looked nice, but we did not see a single person in the pool since it is basically in the middle of the restaurant.

• robert (8/5): Great value hotel in the heart of downtown - We chose this hotel for its central location and suitability for our budget and it lived up to expectations. Nothing fancy here but welcoming staff and clean surroundings. The food was excellent and try the avocado on toast it’s epic Nothing
• Toledano (8/5): - Der Innenhof, Zimmer Der erste Anblick von der Straße war enttäuschend, dafür wird man mit der Innenausstattung um so mehr positiv überrascht.
• Joanna (3/5): Not worth the money. - Good location in the very heart of La Fortuna. Staff was very friendly. Tasty breakfast with a lot of options. The swimming pool is not a swimming pool but a water in the middle of a restaurant so you can’t actually swim there. The restaurant itself is open till late so it is very loud in the rooms since they are not properly insulated from the sound. Breakfast starts at 6am so it woke us up every morning when they were cooking and the fans from kitchen were turned on. It was not clean at all, a lot of mould in the bathroom. Room is small and gets warm very quickly, air conditioning is directly in the line of bed so you get cold immediately. Shower is also not functioning properly. When you turn on or off hot water you hear strong hitting sound. Sometimes it felt like the cleaners were more busy with folding the towels in a “funny way” than cleaning.

• James (7/5): Comfy but overpriced. - Great location. Great friendly staff and great breakfast. Complimentary welcome drink. Room was dated basic. The pool is a bit awkward as it is surrounded by the restaurant which is open to the public. A little pricey for what you get.
• Goncalo (7/5): Nice hotel in the town center - La Fortuna Downtown Boutique Hotel has an excellent location right in the center of town, perfect for walking to restaurants, shops, tours, and nightlife. The rooms are well equipped and practical for a short stay. The bathroom is dated and the shower barely works, with very low water pressure. Soundproofing is almost non-existent, so street noise and other guests can easily be heard. Our room was on the second floor, and there is no elevator, which can be inconvenient with luggage.

Everything was close by and convenient - The location was right downtown, amazing, my room also had a view of the main park square. The lighting in the room could be better and the bed a light softer, the bed frame would squeak when you tried to turn at night.
• Birgit (4/5): - Das Zimmer war unter jeder „Würde“ Absolut kein Familienzimmer. Max. 10m2 für 3 Personen. Kein Fenster zum öffnen geschweige einen Balkon. Wir waren wie in der Auslage! Das große Fenster, welches nicht geöffnet werden konnte - zeigte auf den Gang an dem alle Gäste die zum Frühstück gingen vorbei mussten. Natürlich auch während des Tages. 24 Stunden den Vorhang geschlossen zu halten, war daher ein Muss!! War eines der schlechtesten Zimmer welches ich je bewohnen musste. MA waren die meisten ( Service) nett. Die Reception ließ dagegen zu wünschen übrig.

Los restaurantes —creo que son tres— son excelentes: la comida es deliciosa y el personal, sumamente amable. Al llegar incluso me recibieron con un cóctel de cortesía, muy bueno! La habitación era moderna, limpia y cómoda, con aire acondicionado, refrigerador, televisión y un baño muy bonito. Aunque no alcanzamos a usar la piscina, se agradece contar con ese espacio para relajarse. En general, todo está pensado para que la estadía sea confortable y agradable. Lo único que no me gustó fue que la habitación que me tocó daba directamente a un pasillo en el primer piso, frente a la piscina. Esto hacía un poco incómodo mantener las cortinas abiertas, ya que se veía hacia el interior de la habitación.

The protocol of needing the parking card to get your vehicle and come back to the hotel to bring the card back and the same protocol when you arrive from tours is not efficient nor friendly to the customer. Liked the parking at the back of the hotel better.

• Jessica (10/5): the staff was very attentive and the hotel was in a great location.a little hard to find at first but it’s centrally loc - the food and staff were incredible there were no elevators which seems pretty typical of costa rica but we were not aware of this and had luggage

• Alena (10/5): Beautiful, welcoming, and relaxing. Great choice! - We received the warmest welcome from the front desk workers. I believe his name was Gerend with beautiful curly hair. The room, the restaurant, the pool, and the overall feel of the hotel was incredibly relaxing and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and consisted of a lot of local fruits and dishes. Nothing! Everything was perfect.
