Our room was clean and well appointed with everything we needed. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. It was great having the facilities of Mingara as part of our accommodation package. The bed! I know mattress firmness/softness is a personal choice, but the mattress was quite hard and unforgiving and the pillows were too high in profile for us. Both my husband and I, and my sons and their girlfriends all commented about the beds and pillows. (3 separate rooms) After a first rough night's sleep, we asked Meg at reception if there were any lower profile pillows, and she gladly swapped them all for us. The second night was a bit better apart from the mattresses. Considering that when you book a hotel, the main reason is for somewhere comfortable to sleep, you would think a comfortable bed would be the main feature of the room. Softer mattresses please! This was the only disappointment of the booking.

Staff were lovely and friendly and accomodating. Close to the Mingara Club next door - has restaurants in there if you want to eat something next door. The pillows were abit thicker than Im used to but otherwise comfortable bed and stay!

The only issue I could see was some problems with staff allocations across different areas - some were very rushed with customer orders, while other areas were not busy at all. But overall staff were lovely and the facilities were well managed.

Had a lovely dinner and breakfast at club with 10% discount, too. Played some pool in the sports bar in the evening. Bed was very comfy but the pillows were all too big and uncomfortable for my favoured sleeping position. Would have been nice to have a mix of pillow heights to choose from.

And I think I enjoyed the view over the carppark better than the view over the club roofs. And some of the light switches are black against a black background....bit hard to find in the dark!

- jae chan (9/5): - The staff were very friendly, and I liked that the building was new and the bed was comfortable. The eggs Benedict for breakfast did not seem professionally prepared.
