La habitación estaba extremadamente sucia, llena de pelos, desordenada y con objetos personales por todas partes (ropa, zapatos, etc.). El armario tenía sábanas sucias y pertenencias ajenas, algo totalmente inaceptable. El piso en general estaba sin limpiar y con muy mal aspecto. Además, el olor era insoportable: tanto la habitación como la vivienda olían a vómito y tabaco, lo que hacía imposible quedarse allí ni una sola noche. Contactamos con la propietaria a los pocos minutos y su única solución fue cancelar sin garantizar la devolución del dinero. A día de hoy, no hemos recibido ningún reembolso, alegando falsamente que el piso estaba limpio. Falta total de profesionalidad y respeto. Sinceramente, esta persona no debería estar alquilando en esta plataforma. No lo recomiendo en absoluto. Evitad este lugar.

• Moshkin (9/5): - A lifesaver during Storm Chandra! Not local to Dublin and this experience saved me from sleeping at Heuston Station! Because of Storm Chandra, my commute home yesterday was completely disrupted. This was the only apartment available on https://www.google.com/url?sa=E&source=gmail&q=Booking.com that matched my filters. The process was seamless: I booked online, the confirmation came in exactly a minute, and the owner personally contacted me to guide me to the apartment. Highly recommend—she should be running a hotel, not just a B&B!

Fue barata para las 3 noches que estuvimos, la cama era cómoda y no tuvimos problemas porque fuera una casa compartida, no nos cruzamos con nadie. La habitacion no estaba muy limpia y el baño tampoco. Habia tazas sucias y las toallas que nos dejó para la ducha tampoco lo estaban. En el cuarto de baño la toalla de las manos tambien estaba muy sucia.

It was small and the WiFi signals didn’t reach.. just had to get out of the room for a bit to catch the signals. But we didn’t mind because we needed a quiet place to wind down.

• Silke (9/5): Dublin hat bestimmt auch günstigere Unterkünfte. - Toll war die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin, die uns gleich die richtige Buslinie genannt hat. Die Lage ist gut bis sehr gut. In der Nähe sind zwei verschiedene Buslinien eine, die Linie 16 kommt direkt vom Flughafen (ca. 5 bis 10 Gehminuten zur Unterkunft), die andere, die Linie 150 bringt einen in die Stadt (ca. 2 bis 5 Gehminuten). Das Bett und das Zimmer ist sauber und aufgeräumt, aber leider gibt es nur ein Bad für 3 Zimmer. Das Bad ist aber sehr sauber. Wenn nicht dann liegt es an den anderen Bewohnern und nicht an der Vermieterin. Leider steht in der Weg Beschreibung, dass es sich um das Haus 42 "A" handelt. Es gibt aber nur die richtige Nummer 42, davon nicht verwirren lassen. Leider gibt es nur ein Bad für 3 Zimmer.

Unfortunately you could smell cigarette smoke very intensely from the room and the WiFi wasn’t working at all which was a bummer since we are traveling with no phone plan and relying on WiFi. There was also loud construction noise happening in the backyard which was quite disturbing. I also think the way it was advertised was a little misleading, it seems like it would be right on the canal but it is on the other side of a pretty busy street.

In a housing crisis in Dublin. Very bad form. Could not find the property. Incorrect address was put on the booking email. Walked around for over an hour looking for it. I also tried contacting the contact number. I tried contacting and didn't hear back from the host for a couple of hours. It was a cold so night so I had to book somewhere else. Host refused to refund me despite me not being able to stay in the end, as it was 11pm when they responded and told me where the correct address was. It was also a freezing cold night and I was relying on the accommodation being accessible and available to walk into, having booked it earlier that day. Host also argued with me that I was in the wrong. It's a scam to charge someone in this kind of situation. No decency. To be profiting of the spare room in your house like this, even when someone is unable to stay in the end, in a housing and cost of living crisis in ireland.

• Enault-Demaye (6/5): - L'emplacement, à pied nous sommes à 30 minutes du cœur de Dublin. L chambre était propre. La salle de bain moins, mais c'est une salle de bain commune à plusieurs logements. L'accueil de l'hôte un peu froid, peu d'explications : aussi bien pour les clés : elles vous attendront sur place , il y a une boîte à clés mais nous n'avons pas reçu le code. En arrivant, nous avons sonné et l'hôte n'était pas contente d'être dérangée. Les clés étaient sous le paillasson. Sans le savoir, difficile de le deviner. De même , pour le parking, il y a des rues où on peut se garer mais à nous de nous débrouiller.

Helpful to get parked for free in a nearby street and garage for petrol closeby to refuel before heading further south. Nearby coffee shop for a tasty breakfast. Worked well for my two night stay.

• James (3/5): Dublin canal hotel review - It was on the lower side for prices at the time of booking for a stay in Dublin due to the expensive nature of the city. However still, the price was roughly £90 per night, equivalent of a decent budget hotel and this wouldn't compete with the standards of a decent budget hotel in reality. The property was effectively a room in someone's house, the room was very small for two adults. The house was very noisy with doors banging and the owner had a young toddler/child that cried regularly and made my partner and I feel uncomfortable where we spent a vast majority of time out of the hotel to feel relaxed. The room wasn't great in terms of cleanliness. The floors could have done with a clean as there were bits all over, the mattress and bedding was covered in hair and the tea and coffee could possibly have been there months or years due to the scattering on the side table. It is advertised as a garden view but the garden and surrounding buildings are effectively a building site, that is quite noisy at certain periods (late Saturday night) I could hear machinery working. The toiletries are effectively the owners personal toiletries, they're not hotel style toiletries and you're sharing the owners bathroom which can feel uncomfortable at times. The WiFi is non-existent, you'll almost certainly be using mobile data.

The owner was very flexible with us and allowed us to drop off our luggage early so we could explore the city beforecheck-in. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and we were a great distance away from everything we wanted to see the neighborhood seemed very friendly and the owner gave us good recommendations for where to visit.
